Phew!! It's been a long time comming but here it is, Chapter One, the next three will be out very soon.

0857 Hours, March 23, 2643 (Military Calendar) /
Covenant Command Ship Prophet's Decree,
Beta Centuri System near Delta Prime Naval Outpost

Mesa 'Nosolee made his way into the large navigational room and sat down at his station. As he settled down at the controls a screen popped up in front of him, requesting identification. He pressed his hand to the holographic screen that moulded to his hand, flashed green and disappeared. A warning light came on above his head and he tapped the screen in front of him, a display of a human ship came up on it and an evil grin appeared on his face. He brought up a holographic keypad in front of him and pressed a button, a projection of another Elite appeared and flickered before staying still. The Elite was a high ranking one as he wore gold armour, that of a Ship Master-a Zealot.
"What do you want?" snapped the Commander Elite.
"Ship Master 'Fulsamee," replied the first one, with a tone of respect in his voice "Just now a human ship, what they call a Destroyer, has shown up on the radar. It appears to be orbiting a fairly large planet and seems to be unaware of our presence due to the stealth cloaking system. Its current position is about seven units north of where we are now, what do you want us to do?"
Zuka 'Fulsamee pondered the question for a second and then the same smirk came over his face. "Excellent, get us up close to the Destroyer and then fire the Plasma torpedoes, I want to see the carnage that they cause." he ordered.
      "Yes, Excellency."
"Be sure your watching when we blow them out of the sky, it will be quite a show."

Aboard the newly commissioned UNSC Destroyer Ship, Cusamano Seven, Lieutenant (1st Grade) Noah Corbett walked quickly towards the Master Chief's room. There was not much noise except for the tapping of his shoes against the cold metal floor and the sound of the ship's engines as they propelled it across space. He came to the Master Chief's room and stepped up to the retina scanner at the door, which matched his print to the one on the database and asked him for voice print identification. "Lieutenant Noah Corbett, Weapons Officer, UNSC Cusamano Seven." Noah told the machine and the small light next to it flashed green for a second and then went off as a buzz sounded inside the room.
"Come in Lieutenant" came the Master Chief's voice from the speaker outside the room, and then there was a small click as the door unlocked and Corbett opened it and walked inside, shutting the door again behind him.
"Master Chief Wolf, we have a large unidentified ship approaching from the South," Corbett told the Master Chief as he walked in. "they will pass they will pass us in four minutes. They appear to have a plasma laser defence system in place. Though they are in close proximity they have only showed up on radar about a minute ago, and are still invisible to the human eye, which means that they have implemented some sort of stealth system."
Spartan Master Chief Demitri 'Wolf' Taylor was in his late thirties and worked his way up through the ranks in the Navy before being selected five years ago to command the Australian Space Defence section of the CDi. He was a tall man and was experienced in combat with the Covenant, having faced them in combat both on the ground and in space in his Destroyer. He has a permanent reminder of one encounter with the Covenant in the form of the large scar down his chest and a deep gash across his right cheek, which he received when the rest of his platoon was destroyed ten years ago on Instalation-03, the third discovered Halo.
He was captured and tortured by a ruthless Elite, and has never really got over it. He managed to overpower the Jackal guard that was stationed at his cell and take his plasma pistol and energy sword and escape. Apart from the visible scars, he had received many blows to the chest and face, leaving him hanging on to life by a thread, and once he returned to the base that had been set up on the ring, he had to undergo the Spartan/MJOLNIR program, his only hope for survival, and was immediately sent back to Earth via an available prowler. Since the day he escaped from the Covenant prison he vowed to avenge his friends deaths, and kill the one that caused him so much pain all those years ago. The Elite he knew as 'Fulsamee.
He stood up from behind his desk, where he was working on some complex problems, and walked over to the large window that took up a whole wall of his room. As he stared out into the blank void that is space, his mind wandered back to that time on Halo.
"Um, Sir?" said Corbett, and the Master Chief suddenly became remembered that he was there.
"Sorry Corbett, just fazed out for a minute then. Yes make sure they know that we will not hesitate to attack if they continue our way without identifying themselves. Lets go down to the Control Room, I will try to contact them from there, just let me relay the message to CDi Headquarters." he replied, going back over to his desk and turning on the Holographic projector. The AI appeared; it was in the form of the Spartan Master Chief John-117, the legendary warrior who wiped out a vast amount of the Covenant army by himself. "Hello Master Chief Wolf, Lieutenant Corbett, what is it that you need?"
"Hello John, I need to be put through to CDi Australian Division, and there is a large suspected Covenant ship approaching from the south, I want a three dimensional scan of the whole ship and all statistics, how many aboard, what their weapon system is, what it's doing here and who is in command of it."
"Now connecting you through to CDi Australian Division, will have all the information ready for you once you are finished." the AI replied as he disappeared and the CDi crest appeared, floating in the air projected up from the hologram system on the desk.

The busy metropolitan city of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia has come a long way since it was a convict colony in the 1700 and 1800's. For a start the small houses and the terraces that would have been seen in that time were gradually removed from the city, and by 2020 only a few were left on the cities outskirts as heritage listed buildings, and a memento of a time long past. Large skyscrapers and bigger more modern houses as well as the spectacular Sydney Opera House, one of the cities most famous landmarks and the amazing Sydney Harbour Bridge, replaced them. One of the other big differences in Sydney, along with the most other places on Earth, was the introduction of private cars that rather than use wheels, implemented an anti gravity system that allowed it to float about four inches above the ground, as well as the major redevelopment of the roadways, so that travelling through the city would take only minutes rather than the hours it would take back in the 21st century.
But ever since 2589 the first thing you notice upon entering Sydney is the giant skyscraper right in the heart of the city, not just because of the fact the it is nearly 250 metres high and takes up a whole block, but because on top of the building projected from a holographic system set into the roof is the CDi crest, slowly spinning around in the air five metres above the building.
Such an amazing sight to see when entering the city, the huge building with a giant hologram floating above it in the sky. And from time to time the crest disappears and be replaced by a giant cube displaying the same image on all four sides, this happens to alert people of emergencies and news flashes, with sound being boomed out of speakers on the rooftop.

CDi Sydney Division Headquarters, Australia,
Planet Earth

Although the exterior of the building looks brilliant, the interior is magnificently stunning, the foyer has a marble and the outer walls are made from a special reinforced metal able to withstand a force ten times greater than a HAVOK nuclear warhead, but it can't be seen through the inner wall which is coated with a reflective paint that catches the sunlight and glows bright. Through the main entrance is the CDi crest set into the marble and four tube like elevators around half way along the floor, up the end is the reception desk again with the CDi crest on the wall behind it and next to the desk are two artificial waterfalls, the rest of the ground floor comprised of garages for the SkyHawk jets that scouted around country defending it in cases of emergency.       The building has ninety-one floors with the last one specially designed for training. The ceiling on this floor is 20.5 metres above the ground and up to twelve different environments can be imitated within its confines; with a firing range included it is a fully equipped training room. Most of the other floors are full of Hi-Tech equipment used for tracking Covenant ships and developing new weaponry, and some are offices for people in senior positions and recruit training officers.

It was in an office on the 89th floor that the hologram machine gave a buzz and turned itself on. The man sitting behind the large desk in the room looked up and saw the display on the screen,
'Admiral Cooper you have an Incoming Transmission from Spartan Master Chief Demitri Wolf, aboard UNSC Destroyer Cusamano VII.' Then the screen flickered for a second and Wolf appeared, he wasn't wearing his uniform anymore but had his MJOLNIR armour on, his helmet was at his side and his face showed signs of worry. "Wolf, what can I do for you?" the Admiral asked, as he set his pen down.
"Sir, we have located a large Covenant ship, probably a Command Ship, their ETA here is 60 seconds and closing. They appear to have Plasma Torpedoes and the usual arsenal plus a plasma laser defence system. They are using a stealth shield, I have our MAC guns coming online now and have authorised five IPBM-7 Titan thermonuclear missiles to be launched from the Missile Defence Station on Delta Prime Naval Outpost." replied Wolf as a tone sounded to announce the completion of the scans of the ship he had ordered. He took the AI's chip from his desktop set-up, inserted it into the slot in his helmet and activated it, putting his helmet back on.
"Good work Wolf, I will alert all other ships in the vicinity to be on the lookout for the ship, send your co-ordinates through. Have you had the AI run a three-dimensional scan?" the Admiral said.

"John has just completed the scan of the ship it's huge, commissioned six months ago, Covenant Command Ship Prophet's Decree, captain is Ship Master.... oh my god."
Though he was wearing the helmet, the Admiral could tell without seeing his face from the tone of his voice that Wolf was shocked. "He.... he's back. It's him Admiral, it's 'Fulsamee, and he's in charge, the one who killed the marines, my friends, on Halo 03. Well this time, this time I'll kill him, he's going to pay for what he did." Wolf vowed, shaking with silent rage for what 'Fulsamee did. Before the Admiral could reply the ship shook violently, Wolf knew what had happened and asked John for a damage report. The AI responded quickly, "No apparent damage to the ship, just a light burst from the lasers."
Wolf turned back to the Admiral, " Sir they're two hundred thousand metres away and closing, fast. I have to get the command centre and get us out of here, the MAC's have been fired and according to John we took out the laser system, the IPBM's are two minutes away, and we are setting course for CDi Launch Facility Sydney through slipstream space, ETA twenty-five minutes." And with that the screen went dead, the Admiral sighed, wrinkles forming on his weathered face, he was nearing his sixty-ninth birthday and the Navy would most likely force him into his retirement by next year. He picked up the phone next to him, and called the office on the second floor responsible for keeping contact with all CDi officers.
"This is Admiral Jack Cooper," he told the woman who answered " I want special agents Hawk, Phoenix, Sabre, Raven and Liger, the American and English CDi directors and UNSC delegates as well as the ex-Covenant from Covenant Research and Intel in the conference room on the 76th floor at 0930 hours, and I want the President on video link."
"Admiral, I'm sorry to tell you but Special Agent Raven was killed by the Covenant this morning. To our knowledge she was aboard a CDi Destroyer when it was shot down by a Covenant Command Ship, she tried to run a scan on it before he went down, but the ship went into Slipstream space and she lost it."
"Damn this war! The deaths it has caused, and for what, nothing!" the Admiral exclaimed frustrated "I'll be glad when it's all over; once we have won this war. Very well, get everyone else to conference room three, at nine thirty."
"Yes Sir" the secretary agreed, and the Admiral put the phone down. He had been a marine once an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, and had experienced first hand the destructive power of the Covenant. Though he knew it could have been much worse.

In 2600, a large group of Covenant surrendered to UNSC forces and since then have worked alongside the humans trying to convert more of the Covenant to help the humans, rather than destroy them. Without their help the human race wouldn't have lasted this long. He also knew which ship was responsible for Raven's death, the Prophet's Decree, it must have been, he just hoped that Wolf had made it out and that the missiles hit their target.

CDi Destroyer Drirtlen III in orbital patrol over
Planet Earth

CDi Special Agent Master Chief Jennifer 'Phoenix' Forbes sat at the helm of her Longsword interceptor and flicked the ignition switches on the control panel and prepared the ship for flight. The small ship was in the small docking bay that had been fitted to the bottom of her Destroyer, the UNSC Drirtlen III. Like the other Spartans, Phoenix and five others were equipped with a MJOLNIR armour suit but, unlike the rest, they were given their surnames back and sent to CDi Sydney Headquarters to undergo further augmentation and training. There they were all trained in every aspect of combat and they eventually became the six strongest killing machines in the Universe.
As the project was classified top secret by the spooks at ONI, they were all given codenames; Jennifer 'Phoenix' Forbes, Demitri 'Wolf' Taylor, Aiden 'Sabre' Rodriguez, Joanna 'Hawk' Brenman, Luke 'Liger' Davies and Lyra 'Raven' Blanc. They were all promoted to the rank of Commander and given a Destroyer specially equipped with a docking bay and the new design Longsword interceptor. The new Longsword was of completely new design being more like a fighter jet than the original Longsword allowing it to reach much faster speeds and be fitted with a devastating new weapon. If it happens to be shot down or is going to be destroyed the pilot can initiate the self destruct feature allowing it to be flown directly into the enemy ship or structure and become a bomb equipped with 100 kilograms of C-12 explosives.

Recently all of the Spartans had been made Master Chief's at a ceremony celebrating their success in the years of their military careers.
Phoenix linked the Longsword's neural interface to her MJOLNIR armour, allowing her to have greater control over the ship and its weapons. After all the pre-flight checks were complete, she initiated the launch sequence and switched on the small ship's powerful jets, a light flashed on her HUD notifying her that the ship had started fine.
She opened up a COM channel to the bridge of her Destroyer, "Ready for takeoff Lieutenant Jackson, clear the docking bay and open the blast doors. Before you do that though I want two Shiva nuclear missiles loaded and the MAC's charged to 150 percent." she ordered, and the message was relayed up on the bridge.
"Yes ma'am, MAC's charged to 150 percent, and a marine will be out to load the missile in fifteen seconds. Do you really need all that firepower?" Lieutenant Andrew Jackson enquired. "Spartan Master Chief and CDi Secret Agent Raven's Destroyer was blown out of the sky this morning by a Covenant Command ship, I'm not taking any chances. I know that even a Shiva missile will be inadequate against a Command ship, but if I encounter one at least I might be able to disable it for long enough to escape. Besides, I'm only going to Earth, I should be back by 1100 hours." Phoenix explained, she was a very close friend of Raven's and felt a surge of anger towards the Covenant, but she erased the feeling from her mind. She knew that her anger would make her lose focus and could compromise the mission, and she had a duty not only to her fellow soldiers but also to all humankind to complete the mission. The marine came out and loaded the two Shiva missiles, when he had finished he stepped back from the Longsword and saluted Phoenix, who politely saluted in return. The marine left the docking bay and Lieutenant Jackson's voice sounded over the COM channel.
"Ready to launch Ma'am, when you're ready you can turn the thrusters to full and get on your way. Admiral Cooper is being contacted now, I'll put him through when we reach him." he told her.

"Ok, thrusters to full, put the Admiral on the Longsword's speaker and have me on holographic projection in the his office. Launch, now." Phoenix said, closing the COM link to the bridge and launching from the docking bay. The Longsword shot out of the bay and into space, it would take five minutes before it entered the earth's atmosphere and she would land the ship at CDi Launch Facility and take the pod to nearby CDi Headquarters. The speaker in the Longsword suddenly came to life and Admiral Cooper's voice sounded from it. "Special Agent Phoenix," he said, there was a short pause. "Jennifer. You have by now heard about Lyra haven't you?" Phoenix nodded grimly. "This morning her and her crew were killed when a Covenant Command ship attacked and obliterated her Destroyer, the UNSC Lionix. The Covenant ship we believe to be responsible for the attack was the Prophet's Decree. Special Agent Wolf's Destroyer, the UNSC Cusamano VII, was attacked by this ship today and his ship was also destroyed, but I have received word from him that he and one of his crew, Lieutenant Noah Corbett, managed to escape on a Longsword, he will be arriving here around about the time that you do."
"Right, have you let CRI and ONI know? Did they initiate the Cole Protocol?" Phoenix asked
"CRI will be briefed with you, Special Agents Sabre, Liger, Wolf and Hawk as well as America's and England's UNSC Delegates and CDi Directors and the President." the Admiral told her.
"There is no doubt that ONI have found out by now so after our meeting I shall be taking to them. And yes, as far as I know Raven and Wolf did abide by the Cole Protocol and purge all information for the ship's AI and other systems."
Phoenix let out a sigh of relief. "My ETA is six minutes I will see you soon Admiral" she told him closing the COM channel. As she did so the ship burst into the Earth's atmosphere and sped up, Phoenix pulled up on the controls of the ship and managed to steady it. The ships engines adjusted to the gravity and then shot the ship at Mach 4.3 towards Sydney.

0948 Hours, March 23, 2643 (Military Calendar) /
76th Floor CDi Sydney Division,
Planet Earth, Australia, Conference Room Three

Phoenix stood outside the Conference Room on the 76th floor and knocked twice on the shiny mahogany door. "Come." the single word came from inside the room, she open the door and walked slowly towards the long table in the centre of the room recognising all seventeen or so faces at the table, including the man on the video link, and the three elites, two jackals and the grunt that were a part of CRI. She took her seat in between Wolf and Hawk, acknowledging them with a quick nod. She was now in the uniform that she wore when she was at the bridge of her Destroyer. Medals she had received adorned the uniform; the only one missing was the Prisoner of War Medal.
"Now that everyone is here we can get started. Oakley?" Admiral Cooper said and the AI appeared in the middle of the desk. His was a Centaur, from his torso up was a human but below that he had a horse's body. He looked wild and majestic but strangely out of place in the high-tech room.
"Yes Admiral?" Oakley replied in his deep computer generated voice.
"Start the briefing Oakley, and show the images." Admiral Cooper told the AI, who nodded his head and disappeared. A second later the large screen directly opposite the wall where the president's image was being displayed started up and Oakley's voice came over the speakers that had been set up in the room.
"At 0836 hours this morning the communications dish atop of this building received a message transmitted from UNSC Destroyer Lionix on the Alpha priority channel. Running message view."
The screen changed from black to display the message from Raven.
