-Gravemind

In the Darkness of the Abyss I wait, and how long it has been
I covet the land beyond this grave, how long since I have seen.
The Humans have awoken the Flood and the tide is unfairly turned
they, along with the Covenant beasts lurk in the lands that I have yearned.
My creatures have infected their weak combatants and their minds are now as one
I will use my Army of the Doomed and send them back whence they did come.
The infection grasps at the fibres of life and extinguishes the flame slowly
soon in the former living thing's place will stand a monster, an Unholy.
The Humans and the Covenant, though seeing each other as threats
they will have to learn to work as one to stop the most terrifying yet.

My makers had no idea what they would behold
when they mused of my creation
Through the pain and suffering that I caused
they witnessed the devastation.
In the deep recesses of their minds would skulk another presence
the Flood has taken over their bodies and held them in abeyance.
They watched as their bodies were ravaged
and their memories plucked from their minds
they were gradually destroyed by this savage
and torn apart from inside.

My clutch on their lives is chilling;
I hold them in my 'hands'
they follow with robotic precision
all of my commands.
With the dawn of the New Age approaching fast,
where my creatures will reign and exert control,
my task will be done I'll have won 'til the last
and I'll be the Most High, the Regal.

The Demon has now left this place
and will journey back to Earth,
though that planet soon shall fall
and will have its rebirth.
The Arbiter has quelled a foe and has set about a quest
regardless where he is headed
and what is his task at hand
it is my hope that soon, he will be laid to a final rest.

The Prophet is aboard the ship that harbours the Master Chief
his goal; to activate the Ark and send the Universe beneath.
If the Ark is activated, then the Rings will follow suite
if Truth thinks it will lead to salvation
then he is an arrogant brute.

I have waited for Millennia and the time is now at hand
for soon will be the moment when my will is their command.
With a legion of Flood warriors and bound to serve me
no one can hind no one can fight and no one shall be free.
I now have the Human construct; she has nowhere to go
I must get us both off this Ring before the ship does blow.
With her knowledge of technology we'll hack the transport grid
then we'll flee this place forever, like the Forerunner never did.

In the matter of wether she helps me
she has no choice but it shall soon be done,
I'll persuade the construct to set us free
and then I will end what I have begun.
When I reach my destination, though I don't know where that may be
I'll set about my journey to Earth and face my Destiny.
