What if we were in the halo universe, and our respective goverments
just kept it from us?
What if, instead of war in Iraq, its war on Quintella 3?
Sorry for the name, its gonna be on differnt planets.
And I'll use this date for writning, as it would get confusing.

Earth, Sol/Tuesday, Mar.26/04
Aboard the ISS
Davidson floated in the micro-gravity around him, looking at the sensor sweeps of the
surronding space. The sweep hit the asteriod belt...Jupiter...Europa...Saturn...wait!
There was something on the sensor shadow of Europa. It looked like a giant lizard. Life
signs were detected...20 000 methane breathing, 5-foot, beings. 15 500 fragile, birdlike
ones.10000 tall, maybe 8 feet humanoid creatures with mandibles instead of a jaw. 500 12 foot
beasts, with spikes on its back and orange blood. 500 brown-furred creatures, pretty humaniod,
but barely sentient. And 2 large hovering beings.
"Sir!" He yelled to the capitain. "What are these things?"
#Damn rookies, getting spooked by every comet# thought the capitain.
So he walked over to Davidsons station. Actually, walked is very inaccurate, more like he
tumbled through the station.
"Ok, whats it this time? Pluto? Mercury coming out of the shadows?" He grinned.
"No, sir, we've got covies coming from behind Europa"
"OH FUCK." he screamed, and started tumble-running to the radio.
In his haste he had hit Davidson into his console, knoking him unconcious.
"General Assembly members, we have Covenant sighting in Sol. Repeat,General Assembly
members, we have Covenant sighting in Sol. Repeat,General Assembly members, we have Covenant
sightingin Sol. Repeat,General Assembly members, we have Covenant sighting in Sol." he stated,
trying to control his voice. And failing miserably. The translators, working not to imitate
his voice, failed. Too, some of the third world contries, failed to control they're bladders
and bowels. They're nations were too small to even thnk about opposing the covenant.
But, the were human, allowing for the lapse in bravery while they thought they'd have to
fight them alone. But then they rememberd,They were part of the UN, and, as part as the UN, had
a duty. To the planet of Earth. Even if the civillians didn't know, they would get them prepared.
They had too.
Very quickley, before 1 minute had passed, the ammbassador from Isreal, who was there to
try once again to gain admission to the United nations, was accepted in to the General Assembley,
And the security council. They were, after all the fighting, some of the best trained warriors
planet Earth had to offer.
The message was sent to the presidents, prime ministers, chancellors, dictators,
commrades, and the like. Even to big corporations were told, and they started training they're
employees with a battle rifle. Muslim extremists were informed, and they went over to the
American soldiers to give up, but found themselves being handed weapons, kinds they usually
had to buy on the black market. Which by the way was no longer in business after a week. every
person who could handle a pistol was given training on covenant battle techniques, races, how
to safley prime both kinds of grenades, even how to use plasma weapons safley.
they soon had 5 billion volunteers, all wondering why they hadn't been told of the war,
or faster-than-light (FTL) travel. Plus the 2 billion from the outer and inner colonies, they
had a good chance on the ground.
Some even signed up for the SPARTAN 4 program. The number of SPARTANs was now an
amzing 500! The surviving ODSTs, not being able to hell-drop, supplemented the SPARTANs.
But even the UN General Assembley (now everyone was in) wondered where the
'Gettysburg' came from.

for those of you who were confused (for people who don't know HALO history):
SPARTAN-from ancient sparta, the spartans were the greatest warriors of they're day, and were
only defeated by betrayl. That wont happen. SPARTANs are people like 'Master Chief'.
Master Chief-The best SPARTAN. The commander. The green armoured behemoth you play in the game.
Reach-Planet where Covneant found the co-ordanantes to earth, also last remnants of SPARTAN II
program. Is where Dr.Hasley started the program.
ODST-Orbital Drop Shock Troopers, also colourfully known as 'Helljumpers', because the HEV
(Human Entry Vhiecle) gets terribly hot, like hell.

Gettysburg-Ship taken from Reach debris for escape to Sol by Master Chief and co.
Unyielding Heirophant-Covenant Space station, 300 Kilometers long, middle of 200-ship covnant
battlegroup headed to Earth. Destroyed by late Lt.Haverson, late Admiral Whitecomb, Surviving
SPARTAN IIs (minus Kelly) and a giant explosion, which only left 12 covenant ships.
General Assembly-All the nations of the UN in 1 giant room, talking, group is not the security
council
Security Council-made for the use of UN troop's deployments, basicly the generals of the UNSC
UNSC-United Nations Space Command, the military out in space, fighting the covenant.
