I see the wreckage of our civilian vessel,
I see the destruction that was wreaked onboard.
I see my grip on sanity slipping,
I see it as a loss I can ill-afford.
I see that children have ran in fear,
I see they have hid in awkward places.
I see the Covenant have swept through without mercy,
I see the blank stares from children's faces.
I see my son dressed in combats,
I see he is proud and how it shows.
I see my son's remains when I shut my eyes,
I see my son now... only in photo's.
I see my wife has died of a broken heart,
I see the bottle, the pills and the knife.
I see the picture of James she still holds in her hand,
I see she has chosen not to carry on with life.
I see the Covenant hasten towards me,
I see the 'wolf is at the door'.
I see the beast unsheathe his blade,
I see... no more.
