Lan Battle Introduction-Chapter1: Turak's Defense
Date: 17 November 2003, 12:44 PM
Intro
This would probably be my other story to write to you all. As all who reads the fanfic. I have written already two series stories to a much larger story. As for this one it will be a sort of telling you about the nature of my brothers battle strategies, and patience of heart. As for the story itself it is mostly just fiction, and not the true story at all. This story will be about Turak, my first youngest brother. In this story he and his men (a group of five boys aging from 7 to 12) shall take on the the odds of twelve older people in a match of oddball. Here is their story of valor.
Chapter 1
I guess i all started when my brother jesse asked all of us if we wanted to have lan party on halo next week. As for being his brother i diffently said yes. Everyone else thought it over for about five minutes. Then all at the same time said,'hell yeah!!!'. All that week my brother spent hours planning and buying gear to play the game. We had to move things around, and set up the tv, the cords, and the box's that everyone brought. That day on a Saturday started like any other day. Jesse was snug in his bed. I was up practicing and preparing a battle plan, with my forces of course. Jesse and I agreed(or as i say he tricked me and our cousins into making the teams, young vs. old) that was the teams would be that particular day. That morning my mom spent an hour trying to awake the greates teacher of all strategy and battle tatics my brother jesse. That's what i call him since he taught me everything about strategy and ground tatics so i wont freeze up like most in a game. When Jesse awoke from his slumber, he immediately started setting up the days battles. First he set up the game types which were at the time very impossible since this was our first time having a lan party in our neighborhood. The games were a such: ctf/15 points/single flag/10min. defense/100%hp/instant respawn/all weapons/all vehicles/nav points/no radar/friend indicator on. Oddball/one ball/damage resistant/fastmode/15min. to defend/300%hp(this is the gravest mistake my brother has ever made in the history of warfare.)/instant respawn/shields/nav points/no radar/friend indictator on/all weapons/all vehicles. Afte he was satisfied with his works of art, he demanded that our poor mother make him breakfast. After eating he started calling everyone around town that we knew, to come and play 'Halo Combat Evolved.' The first to show up was collin and zach reuter. Collin was on my team and Zach on 'his' team. The next arrive was Jesse's Right hand man Marcus Johnson. Then was Jesse's Counter Offensive Force:Scott Joseph,Drome Johnson,Matt Evnas,Jordon And Isiah, and Horace Smoke III. My men were as followed: Collin Reuter, Doug Green JR.,Floyd Green, their cousin Jack,Henry "the Bear"Wiehl III. Collin was my right hand just as Marcus was Jesse's;Doug and Jack were my Defensive force gaurding Floyd who would be in controll of the ball in the last game;Bear was our special force just as Scott was Jesse's Special Force. This is how i thouhgt of our plan. Before we started playing we made plans with our teams. My plan was simple and sound. On team CTF we would immediately put our tank at the top of the red base hill. Then quickly leave Floyd and Jack to defend the base. After we would take one warthog and one ghost to the blue base cuase problems for them and their team. then quickly retreat to base and reload and defend the flag for the last eight mins.. Then when the time was up we would attack their base. The tank being our most greatest asset of all, we left it where it was with our driver in it. and attacked with one hog and two ghosts. Our tank would supress their forces into a cork screw hold them down giving us enough time to get the flag and run like hell back to base. This theory was sound but had one flaw, Jesse's force was much larger and he had 11 men under him to counter our every move. At the end of that game we lost miserably and horribly by 5 to 15. My team had doubts abut the next game. I a the other hand knew exactly what to do. The game was oddball and my defense in this battle was very good for we were playing at sidewinder;the same place i mad my strategy for that game. The strategy was this. We would race to the ball with only two people and grab it as fast as we could. Then immediately would run to the northern most cliff on the map, and set up our defense. It was decided that Floyd would hold the ball and win the game for us. Second we would put a ghost in the portal to the right of our position, and keep anyone from entering or defensive point. Third we would get at least two rocket shockers and two ball defenders with needlers and what ever nades we had. Fourth we would stay away from the edges since Jesse would have both tanks and all vehicles. Fifth we would put another ghost of over the portal which connected to the red base. and would keep any who tried to climb to the top and take the ball from us. This was my plan, and me and my mens victory.

Chapter 2
Well i guess this is where i come in to tell you of my tactics and downsides. 'Downsides being a very careful word of mind, considering that i alone would have to answer for my misprehaps of this particular game. Now when the day of the big event began i alone took it into my own hands to set up the days battle plans. Also that i already knew, or thought i knew what the outcome was to be. Chris was setting there grinning at me for the whole of the six minutes it took to make the games on the game, which for everyones knowledge was the greatest games ever made in the new millenea. After writing these games and making the necessary calls to all who would participate in that days events, i demanded that my mother make me breakfast. Eventhough to most this would be a premature way to ask for such things. Some would say I acted with stupidity to 'demand' such things. But as for my mother she knew that i was just joking, but for being the mother she immediately made breakfast for me. This probably being the first time i was awake to eat breakfast. She made breakfast only in my achievement of waking this early. As for the day itself it worked out quite smoothly if you were to ask me. The first of many to arrive was Chris' right hand Collin and my tank specialist Zach. These name you already learned of in the first story. Then came my right man and second in command Marcus Johnson. He brought with him his brother Drome, who would win the days events for us, or as i said before as so i thought. Next to arrive thanks to my hassiling and announances of state of being, was my Special ops Director Scott Joseph. Then the usual was already there considering the one who were already there, were chris' men Henry the 3rd,Floyd and Doug JR.,and their couisin Jack. Who i might say i dont personally know that well... As for the rest they all arrived according to the first chapter. The setting up was quite easy and fast. After making all the necessary arrangements we all agreed upon the leaders, eventhough we already all knew who the leaders were at the time. Me and Chris of course. Then we agreed to spend five minutes making plans on the games we were about to play. My plan was simple to me, however to my men my plans were a bit complicated. For the first game i planned that we would take our tank and warthog to the enemy bases hilltop, and supress the enemy into a bottle neck. then we would send five men to the red basse and attack from the front. Then when in possesion of the flag we would immediately fall back like so. First the ones with the flag bearer would obiviously defend the flag bearer but of course. But i was referring to the ones that were still alive. This plan we would repeat a few thousand times till we wont the single flag match. This plan mostly didnt work considering that chris already knew what i was doing and countered my moves, so i told everyone, except for Scott and Marcus, to rush the enemy base. Also putting into fact they acquired our tank, thanks to the bullheadedness of Zach who said he was a superb driver, and ended up handing them the tank with honors of course. Who was i kidding my team sucked ass. They all wined when started to lose all except for Marcus, thats why he's my right hand, and my second in command. The first game went quite smootly, we won 15 to 5. This was an upset to chris' men, all of them conplained and wined about losing. Saying,"Oh we lost cause they had twelve and we didnt." as for Chris i told him long ago not to worry about the brats and winers. Those were the types who always lost for the team, however with encouragement they could come back with honors of true valor. The next game was oddball, at sidewinder. Sidewinder was the place where i made my plans the night before. Same as Chris to my suprise. Will i have only one thing to say the next story will top off this series, I think but will just have to see.

Lan Battle Chapter 3 Chris' Manuevers According to Jesse and his Men
Date: 19 November 2003, 11:57 AM
Chapter 3 Jesse:
Will people this isn't it, I have decided to write one more after this one. Which will be titled 'Desperation'. As for the matter at hand. Chris' forces we had diffently under-estimated. Considering that he and the five had already set up a perfect and very weak line of defense. This was soon proven when i told Scott and Marcus to move in their waves forward Wave one and two moved in and took out Chris' defense in this match of oddball. For the first five minutes that is just an understatement. Thus we gained only fourty five seconds on the clock. As for our attempt to controll the ball we failed. Chris immediately made a new plan and put both ghosts on the level over the portals thrawrting our flanking options. And part of my plan to take Chris' now well place defensive bunker. To explain Chris' forces were defending now the cliffs to the right of the red base. Which means that if any of his men died they could immediately counter attack my lines and cuase havoc for my forces. Strange it seemed when we were winning, my guys would say:oh yea who's the man now baby, or damn where good!. But when where losing they say:man im tired or this is dumb. God dammit those words are the most annoying thing i've ever heard in my years of playing video games. I could also tell Chris was getting tired of hearing the same from his team. That's just the thing, with troops they all complain about one thing then the next. Its like they want the damn thing handed to them on a silver platter. For like the last ten minutes of the game my whole team, all except for Marcus of course, wanted to quit. Man I almost felt like turning around a beating the shit out of Scott for lowering morale. Man theirs no one worse than him, when it came to complaining. I mean Chris only had five guys with him. And what did we have, oh yeah twelve! Fuck, i was tired i almost burst and killed everyone on my team if it wasn't for my mom who was standing there watching the mayhem. IF she wasn't there i would've started busting heads open with like a sledge hammer or something.
Marcus: I could tell that when we first started at Sindwinder that Chris was going to win, becuase for some reason our guys just started complaining bout stupid stuff. I could also tell Jesse was getting impatient. I mean they shouldn't be complaining, I mean Jesse was the one who put this thing together. Man, I was about to hit Scott when all of a sudden me and him both broke Chris' defensive line. This was amazing, considering that Chris was in possesion of rockets and needlers. Soon after this though Chris and his men attacked and we didnt even get enough time to hold the darn thing. I would say it was Zach's fault for us losing the ball. The dumbass didnt even defend Jesse while he retreated to the other cliff. By meaning defend i mean, standing in their way and firing; however he did exactly the opposite. Instead he attacked their right flank, this was a big mistake. Chris countered with Bear, and Doug, and Jack, who took out Zach in the tank. When in possesion of the tank, they immediately took out the other and took that one as will. Jesse was very mad because our defenses broke on the ground, and before Jesse could even make it to the top of the cliff, Collin came running up laughing, right behind Jesse and killed him with his rocket. Then he immediately with no orders got the ball back to Floyd, and the rest of his forces at the other cliff. Now I could tell Jesse was pissed at Zach and Drome for falling apart like that. The rest wasn't to hard to explain, but I'll leave that upto Jesse to finish.
Scott: Man, and I thought I was getting the wrap. Zach was the real reason why we lost. Besides my complaining, Zach didn't even listen to a word Jesse even said. He would respond to him with the worst disrespect ever. He would say:" Will, its just a game", he almost sounded like he had PMS or something. God dammit he's such an asshole, and very sarcastic from my point of view. It may had of been a game but this was for victory, some little idiots stupidity. I mean that why Jesse made me and Marcus his second and third in command cause besides our constent bitching, we actually obeyed orders. That little asshole was very stupid, I swear he didn't even listen to anything we were saying even Collin. Althought, Collin was on the other team. When they regained the flag we were in what Jesse called last minute Desperation. We frantically attacked with one massive five man wave after the next besides our tanks. who couldn't even reach red teams defensive height. And as for our attacks themselves, they didn't even affect Chris' forces at all. Plus adding that Chris put ghosts over both portals. That for his part was very smart, and Brave, because if we were to take that cliff they would have to have one of their own move the ghost, and then move it back after everyone was through the portal. However this wouldn't have to be done, but I will let Jesse finish the final thoughts of this battle.
