Date: 18 September 2004, 6:41 PM

Before you read the story, please read this.
I am reading most of the other stories and comments, unfortunately my e-mail address has gone to hell, I cannot access it because it has some kind of virus, and I also an not fix it. And because my e-mail address is messed up, I can't get a HBO Fan Fiction ID, so I cannot leave comments.
Second, I am still going to continue my previous series, I just wanted to quickly write this three part series first.
And finally two quick note, Helljumper- Please don't flame me too badly or kill me for using your ODSTs... Please?
BlasTech- don't beat yourself up about flaming me, you made a mistake, everyone (especially me) makes them all the time.

Toku Apsusee lay perfectly still in the rubble of what little remained of a ruined building in the ravaged Human city of Chicago. His muscles had not twitched for what seemed like an eternity, Toku's eyes had not left the scope of his beam rifle the whole time. The armored veteran Elite knew that the Humans would break cover, and then they would die.
"Your Excellence..." Another Elite asked of Toku. The veteran Elite just nodded his head to acknowledge the younger blue armored Elite that was kneeling down next to him.
"Your Excellence," The blue armored Elite began again, "Perhaps we should continue on to better killing grounds, the foul scum do not inhabit this area."
Toku smirked to himself about the ignorance of the young inexperienced Elite. "No fool, we will not leave this area," Toku muttered to his fellow Elite, "and show some respect to the " foul Scum", otherwise you will not have a head to insult them with."
"But your exaltedness..." the blue armored elite began again, but Toku simply snarled to silence the impudent fool. The battle scared red Elite had noticed something; a few small avian creatures that inhabited the Human world had taken to the skies, most likely meaning that something was approaching. Toku eyes scanned the battered intersection carefully, the enemy had to be here somewhere.
Then he saw them, two black armored humans were carefully moving out of an alleyway and into the intersection. The trailing ODST had taken cover behind a small-destroyed Human civilian vehicle, and the other one was quickly hurrying towards a collapsed skyscraper on the other side of the street, but he never made it. Toku's beam rifle sent a single purple-blue bolt of plasma deep into the chest of the unfortunate Human. The Helljumper collapsed to the ground, his cries of pain eerily echoed throughout the once silent intersection. Toku compassionately sent a second bolt of death into the square, mercifully ending the Humans misery.
Before Toku could eliminate the second Human, a fourteen-point-five millimeter armor-piercing round ripped into the red armored Elite's comrade's skull. The blue armored Elite's brain matter splattered onto the ground in a purple mess, the body of the now nearly headless Elite swayed for a moment, then the body fell forward, hitting the ground hard.
Toku rolled behind an almost completely destroyed concrete wall for cover, praying to the Gods that he was still not in the Human snipers view. Even with his life in jeopardy, the battle hardened Elite couldn't help but smile at the image that lay on the floor next to him, a blue armored body that's head was almost utterly gone. The brain was visible from beneath the crushed helmet and shattered scull, and out of the four mandibles that the Elite once had, only one remained, the other three had been ripped off of the Elite's face. As if trying to throw one last insult at the Human that killed him, the dead alien's tongue hung out for nearly a foot out of his mouth. "I warned you." Toku told the lifeless body next to him.
The veteran Elite was drawn out of his thoughts by a rocket that hit a wall just eight feet away from Toku. The Elite took one final deep breath, and then made his move. He charged out from his cover, and into the battle torn intersection. Toku made a flying leap behind a destroyed Creep as two Human sniper rounds missed him by mere centimeters. Toku knew he had to move quickly, standing still for even one moment meant death. He scrabbled to his feet and continued his charge, narrowly dogging another sniper rifle round. His luck ran out before he reached his objective, the last sniper round slammed into his left thigh, just a few inches above the kneecap.
Toku stumbled and activated his plasma sword at the same time, and just in time to. As the veteran attempted to duck behind a car he found his prey, two ODSTs that were busy look for him with a loaded rocket launcher. If these had been regular marines they would have been dead by now, but these were ODSTs, the best soldiers Human kind had to offer. The first one dropped his rocket launcher and dogged Toku's first plasma blade swing, the other one hastily pulled out his magnum and waited to take his shot at the wounded alien.
Toku managed to decapitate the first Helljumper with his backhand swing, but at that point Toku felt six bullets slam into him, four of the bullets were absorbed into his shield the other two lodged themselves into the Elite's spine. That would have been the end of Toku, if it had not been for the stray plasma mortar round that hit the ground barley two feet away from the Helljumper that was holding the magnum. Toku dropped to one knee to dodge the flying dead body of what was once his enemy.
But Toku's trouble was far from over, the enemy sniper still remained, hidden and just waiting for the right shot. Toku deactivated his plasma sword and then pulled out his beam rifle again, this was long-ranged combat. Toku crawled under the destroyed vehicle and began to search for his enemy. Suddenly Toku had a brilliant idea, he radioed into the Covenant battle net, asking for any support that was available. Less then a minute later twin Banshees flew into the intersection, aiding in Toku's search for the Human sniper.
With an amazingly loud crack one of the Banshees fell from the sky, the pilot had taken a single fourteen point-five-round to the head. It was an amazing shot, but it cost the Human his life. The Sniper Rifle round clearly marked the Human's position to Toku, the enemy sniper was on the rooftop of a partially destroyed building, and to aid in his disguise the Human was clad in a guile suit. But the red armored Elite had no qualms about putting a bolt of plasma into the cunning ODST's face; the Human never even had time to scream.
Toku thanked the remaining Banshee pilot for his help, then the red armored Elite began to make the long journey back to base camp. The veteran favored his right leg as he walked, and only put the minimum amount of weight on his left leg, probably owing to the fact that there was a two-inch hole in Toku's left leg, he also used his beam rifle as a makeshift crutch. Toku had only applied light treatment to his bullet wounds; he wrapped his leg in a discard rag that he found on the street. As for the twin bullets that were in his back, Toku did nothing about that, he just had to bear the pain with honor until he reached base camp.
Toku limped for half an hour until he reached Covenant controlled territory. Toku nearly cried with relief when he saw the plasma shields and shade turrets that marked his kin's territory. The gold Elite that was in charge of the area quickly sent Toku into nearly completely intact Human structure on the other side of the street that served as the medical outpost for the Covenant.
Toku hurried into the sweet cool medical post where he would be awaiting treatment. The Elite guarding the main entrance told Toku to head for the second floor, fifth door on the right. As Toku came up to the second floor he heard from the door on his immediate left two Brutes moaning and growling with an Elite's boisterous laugher ringing on the background. At first Toku continued right past the door, thinking that two Brutes were just fighting and an Elite was watching the show, but then he heard it... a Human women's scream. The red armored Elite turned around and opened the door that led to the room, and he witnessed a truly grotesque sight.
A red armored Elite was leaning against one side the room gleefully watching two Brutes display how they were related to the Humans. A Half-nude Human woman was tied down on the single Human bed in the room, the poor women's undergarments had been removed from the lower half of her body, and one of the two Brutes was straddling her. The other Brute was stroking her bloody face and dirty blonde hair with one massive claw. The red Elite watching the macabre show beckoned Toku to watch it too, but Toku was rooted to the spot.
"What in the god's name is going on here?" Toku grimly asked of the other red armored Elite, the second veteran Elite simply smiled at Toku and said, "Human prisoner."
"Where is this Human's mate, and offspring?"
"The female's mate fought against us, and for her single offspring that had not yet learned how to walk..." The evil red Elite nodded his head to one of the Brutes, who in response to the Elite's gesture showed his red bloodstained teeth to Toku.
Honor, that single word described Toku's entire life, the veteran Elite always believed that the mighty Covenant empire had always fought and died for honor, but where in the god's name was there "honor" in devouring a helpless child and committing atrocities on a Human women. Without the slightest hesitation, Toku made a decision that would change his life forever.
A blue blade of plasma appeared in Toku's hand. As Toku grimly moved forward the other red Elite spoke up, "No don't kill the Human, the Brutes still have to feas..." Toku's plasma blade drove it's self into the Elite's mouth before he could finish the sentence. The two Brute's that had been tormenting the poor Human both got up and barreled towards Toku with death in their eyes. Normally two Brutes would have ripped a single veteran Elite to shreds, but this Elite was possessed by anger and hated, hatred to kill what betrayed him.
Toku sidestepped the first Brute and spun his blade in a low arc, cutting his enemy in half horizontally. The second Brute grabbed Toku into a great bear hug, pinning the plasma blade uselessly at Toku's side. The Elite felt his ribs crack and snap by the great pressure that was being exerted on them, the trapped plasma blade burned into the Elite's side burning and blistering his skin. First Toku tried to wriggle free, but to no avail. Toku knew little of Brute anatomy, but he knew some Human anatomy, so perhaps that led to his educated guess.
Toku's knee slammed into the Brutes groin repeatedly. The monster gave grunts of pain after every hit, and after the tenth hit Toku felt his enemy's grip weaken, and that was his chance. The red armored veteran warrior swung his blade into the Brutes face. The blade sank deep into the Brute's mouth, and the monster dropped to the ground, gurgling and choking in it's own blood as it slowly died. Toku also collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath because of two reasons. The first was because he had taken such an extreme beating, the second was because he knew that he could never return to the Covenant. But Toku felt no remorse for what he had just done, the Human women's hysterical sobs seemed to reassure Toku that he had done the right thing in slaughtering his kin.
