Chapter One
One Brave Solider
Its December 31st the eve of 2553. The past days have been going rough most of the divisions trying to protect this city are either destroyed or its they are just trying to fight for there lives. I feel that the covenant are just probing our defense and the real battle is yet to come. Commander Ackerman has been telling us the situation within the confines of the city. Today we lost yet another 1,000 men who have been trying to attack the covenant artillery position 5 mi. North of the city we were all overwhelmed by the covenant forces and the Captain was taken back into the city with me in the ambulance but was pronounced dead after arriving to the medic center probably 20 blocks down from here.... Our Captains name was Cpt. Sergei Belovich.
"Whats his current status..." said Dr. Nicholson
"We are losing him.. Pulse fading fast... Heart beat getting to fast!" said Nurse Mechanic.
"We are just 5 blocks away from the Medic Station... Just hold in there Cpt. Belovich." I said.
"Private....... Im not going..... To make it...." the captain said inhaling is few last breaths.
"Sir you cant die on us. You cannot die like this." I said choking on my tears have that feeling of remorse. "You were a good Private you managed to get 5 injured people.... out of the covenant infested area without you or anyone else... getting killed... Keep up... The good...... work." He exhaled his last breath just as he arrived at the medic station. "Sir we.... Sir... Sir!!!" I was in shock to see that my own captain died right in front of me. "No pulse...." The doctor said. So I got out of the ambulance in a feeling of despair taking a look at my lost captain and said to himself while walking back to my division bunker... "You were a good man sir. The best I have ever known."
Chapter 2
3 Months Later
Its March of 2553. I have been promoted to Major now. Most of the covenant forces still have not gotten past city defense but we still are losing the military population in the city has shrunk from 200,000 in December of 2552 to 175,000 we are losing and with only 10 soldiers gained every week. The Commander said "We are so screwed." I just say to myself "So is every other UNSC Marine defending this city but you sure as hell don't see them complaining." I still haven't forgotten about 3 months ago today about the lose of my captain who would have been proud of my promotion.
"Ready that Artillery! Major" Said Lt. Banks "Yes sir Artillery set pointing northeast by 5." I said ready to drop the Artillery Shell in the hold. "Shell in Place!" I said waiting to here the Lieutenant say fire. "FIRE!!!" The Lieutenant screamed. "Lets see those covenant assizes see that to slow them down. HA!" The Lieutenant said with a smirk on his face. The Grunts were running till all of a sudden a loud boom hit there spot all the grunts flying in the air. "Damn Im good!" Said the Lieutenant in a proud voice. We all just laughed as the Lieutenant said that. "Sir!!! Urgent Important message!" Cried out the Communication Officer. "What's it say?!" said the Lieutenant in a tense mood. "Its says.... O.G.! That the Covenant have torn down the wall to the western part of the city and that they need us to back up Fire Team Zulu some back up and not to worry.... the.. M-M-Master Chief will be there to support as well." Said the Comm Officer in a shocked Voice. "We are getting help from the Master Chief?! Command really wants this place secured if the Master Chief needs to come here then." The Lieutenant never was like this he was both shocked and happy for the support that command was giving them. "Fire Team Charlie Report to meeting zone! With Haste!" Everyone was coming as the Lieutenant called them. "What is it Lieutenant?" said I. "Command is sending us The Master Chief to help in defending the city... The West wall has fallen!" The Lieutenant said in his shocked voice. Everyone was in shocked. One Private said "Um.. Lieutenant when is Master Chief coming?" "In less than a week." The Lieutenant said.
Chapter 3
The Master Chief has Entered the Building
Its March 4 days after the day the Lieutenant told of M.C. arrival. He still isn't here yet and everyone in he other divisions except Fire Team Zulu is Jealous of us getting M.C. While we were waiting we were attacked by a group of about 50 grunts and 15 jackals the threat wasn't serious though our Warthog took care of them. Most of the city is still intact even though we lost 10% of the City to the Covenant.
"Sir there is something on radar!" a fellow division member said to the Lieutenant. "It's a Pelican Dropship Sir!" He said in shock of the fact that M.C. might be there. "Officer Johansson! Put on the comm line!" the Lieutenant said waiting for a response from the dropship. "The is Fire Team Charlie how do you read... Over" The comm Officer said. "We read you loud and clear we have the Master Chief on board and are ready to dock." The Pilot said. "You are clear to drop!" Communications officer said. I was waiting for M.C. over by the Docking Pad. "Sir they landed." "Good have M.C. come to Fire Team Charlie HQ. "Private O' Mailey?" The Master Chief said in his deep voice. "John? I it really you?" I said in feeling of hope and happiness that we might just win this battle after all. "Master Chief! Sir! Welcome to HQ. We are in a bad spot in time we have the covenant choking off out last hopes for supplies plus we have injured peoples to. Not to mention 10% of this city belongs to the Covenant Forces." The Lieutenant said in his usual way of getting right to business. "I noticed.. I have been placed here to help you get Fire Team Zulu back together and getting the 10% of the City back from the Covenant... My orders were clear and simple." The Master Chief said in his Deep Voice. "The Assault should take place within the week in the mean time just help us hold off the enemies." the lieutenant said in a calm firm tone of voice. "I understand." Said the Master Chief.
Chapter 4
The Pre-Assault
It's the first week of April and with the Master Chiefs help we have been able to secure 90% of the city. Unfortunately many people will die today because, of the Greatest Battle to hit this city will take place the Lieutenant calls it The Great Assault.... I just call it the end of the entire city. Once today has passed not much will Stand and the city will be in shatters. The good side is after this supplies will make us stronger than ever. About 100 mi west of the city are many supply dropships. They will bring in Medical supplies, Ammo, more Privates, and more vehicles. "The Board is set for Battle."
"Lieutenant!" I said with a smile on my face. "What is Major?" the lieutenant said with great curiosity. "Look Outside!" I said with joy. "What? Im buissy!" The Lieutenant was working on a tactical plan to fight the covenant part of the city back. "Just look." I said impatiently waiting for him to get out of his chair. He got up out of his chair to find a Great Army. One with most of the Marine Division with many infantry Squads and Mechanized Squads. On the two Tanks it had a banner and it read... "Happy Birthday!" On it. Eventually Man and Women in uniform said Happy Birthday and a great applause came on. The Lieutenant said in a tone of voice like he was all chocked up "All this for me? But... I-I-I just don't understand Marine?" "Through all your hard work through the past through years trying to win back the City and succeeding in that and then holding the city down for two years takes a lot of guts and we just wanted to thank you." I said this in a tone of voice that I have never used before and I was glad to see him happy for the work he has done and for everything he has accomplished even the Master Chief was there about to give a Medal for Best Performance. The Lieutenant Spoke "I just want to let you all know how happy I am to see you all here.... And that this present rocks the ground hard! However today the one present I want the most is for the Human Race to live on forever! Today we will and we are going to win the battle for this city and we are going to destroy the covenant army that challenges us. Tomorrow is decided by today events. We most win for the families that lost loved ones in this war, those who want to see our kids grow up and continue on with what it means to human! I stand here not just because, its my birthday but because, we most win this one. With the Master Chief we will win this one battle easily. Now lets win this one!" The Lieutenant said this in a emotional way but with enough strength to make everyone proud to be human and gave a sense of pride to win the battle.

Chapter 5
Just a Few Last Minute Things
The hour of preparation has past and now we are rested and strong. Lt. Johnson has decided to make the two united armies and divide them into TWO Divisions. The plan was a double Flanking manuever. Which ment we would squeze the right and left sides and about 200 Marines would go straight down the middle. Eventually they would push down and form a Human Wall. Until the Newer Wall could be built.. I have been placed along with the rest of my Squad in the "1st Marine Infantry Division."
"Major?! Are you ready....?" The Lutenant said to me.
"Yes Sir! Master Chief is in position and is ready to take out some Covenant Badies! My Rocket Launcher, Grenades, and Battle Rifle are at FULL." I told him in a voice that we will win this one. "MASTER CHIEF.... ARE YOU READY?" He said over the radio. "All Set!" M.C. Said sure as Hell that we will win. "Okay Marines.... MOVE OUT!" The Lutenant said to both divisions. The Stage was set our pieces in position we were going to make the first move.....
Chapter 6
The First Move
"Ready the Rockets every one!" Lutenant said in a firm voice. "READY!" Every Marine Marine said... "FIRE!" Lutenant Johnson said very loudly. In about 2 seconds a barage of rockets was heading straight towards the covenant HeadQuaters. Every missile hit and destroyed patches of covenant mechanized units like Wraith Tanks and Ghosts. Banshees were already destroyed and there was no more covenant air divisions. "ATTACK!" The Lutenant said loudly and every Marine was soon out on the battle armed with battle rifles and rockets others were armed with SMG's and Battle Rifles. "Die!" The Marines said and the grunts fell on by one. A Marine Cried out "The Western Flanking is falling!" I said with caution "Dont let your gaurd down! They might just regroup." "Communication!" The Lutenant said with caution. "Yes Sir?" the communications officier said ready to send the message. "Tell the Eastern Flank to move out and....." The Lutenant was stopped short of his words. "Sir! Important and Urgent!" Another communications officier said with a choked throat and pale face. "The Covenant.... Bringing in... Heavy Support! The two divisions are going to be able to finish the paper thin 1st Covenant wave, but this new Heavy Support with screw them over over! Again and Again and Again..." "Tell 2nd Division to continue on with Plans and tell the Weatern division to move on with Plans also I think I have a plan... And tell both divisions that theres Heavy Covenant boogies and ground forces coming up also!" The Lutenant said with fear of his decision. He said in his mind "Today many Marines and covenant will die and no one can stop it..." It fell silent....
Chapter 7
The Secret Build Up
Its night time the entire Covenant Force controlling the 10% of the city have fallen. The Master Chief took very little damage and he is now currently out looking for the 2nd Covenant Army. Some people are doubting that they will ever come since its been over 9 hours since we recieved the call that there was to be another invasion force... I am just eating my "dinner" and then my shift is up to be on the Guard for the 2nd Covenant Army. Right now me and others from my shift are just hanging out.
"So Whats up Pvt. Phil?" I asked a Marine of my division.. "Well if it ain't the Mjr. Ackerman.. I just perfect looking at photos that my brother is sending me from Hati in the Carribean he says 'its much warmer here then it is there I bet?' I wish I was there instead of here in these cold temps. I still wonder..... How can anyone including those Elities and Jackals live out here without being frozen?" He sounded like that was heavan but I reminded him of how much problems there are. "There are more problems there then there are here." I told him. "Oh I sure fighting in the nice cool water on the beach....." I stopped the private right there... "Covered in Blood from the grunts and blood of humans. Everyday more humans die from the Grunts because they think tha they are harmless stupid things.... Well they are but in a group there stupid harmful things!" I told like I wanted to slap him over his head for the stupidity. "MAJOR!" A communications officer Screamed out to me... "Master Cheif... Found.. Covenant 2nd Army!... Huge... Massive...." The Communications officier was in disarray. "Okay well lets set the table get everyone ready for war!" I told him... "The Battle has begun...." I was uncertain of our Fate......
