Kyle (Hotfoot) Molloy crept through the rough fern remains. He raised both of his arms, while holding an M-11 SMG in each hand, and then thrusted them back down. Behind him, into the mist, three men silently crouched in. They were spread out like the an arrowhead, and covered every direction seprately.
Kyle rose slowly, as the others did the same. He started to walk a little faster, then stopped. He then backed up to the rest of his team. Kyle proned next to his best friend, and the heavy weapons man of the team, John (Cobra) Malcom. Kyle raised his fist to his head and then slammed it to the ground. John instantly hit the ground in the prone position. He carried a SAW heavy machinegun, four frag grenades, and an M6D pistol.
"Whisper! get over here!" Kyle calmly yelled. The man on the far right quickly scampered over. Ryan (Whisper) Wilson was the most quickest and nimblest, in the whole squad. He was the youngest but yet the most skilled of all, over his teammates. He was also the team's sniper. Probably the most important man, because if Ryan was kiled, the team would have no cover in open battlefields. The most amazing thing about Ryan is, is that he is also a medic. The only sniper/medic in the whole marine corps.
"Ryan, hand me the binocs." Kyle ordered. Ryan handed Kyle a small, but yet powerful pair of binoculars. Kyle flipped it into heat-vision and looked ahead from where he had stopped. Four small stange, orange figures showed up ahead.
"Grunts." Kyle said softly. "Nick! You know what to do." Kyle said to the remaining man in the squad. Nick (Shadow) Toledo was the team's recon unit. He was armed with an M-90 shotgun, two smoke grenades, and three BISCOL combat knives.
Nick moved ahead of the rest, into the fog, and the grunts. Nick could hear the loud voices of the aliens chatting amongst themselves. He cooked up a smoke grenade, and then threw it into the grunts's area. Luckily, the grenade hit off one of the grunts's arm and hit the ground. White smoke rose from the grenade, blinding the aliens. Shadow moved around the smoke, slung his M-90, and picked out a combat knife. He silently snuck up behind a grunt and gripped his knife firmly. Nick quickly jammed his knife into the grunt's back, spilling blood about.
[indent}The grunts ran mindlessly around in circles. Nick then flipped his knife up-right, and slashed the second grunt across the chest. The smoke grenade suddenly stopped smoking, and the remaining two grunts beared their plasma pistols. While one grunt charged-up a shot, the other one opened fire with three plasma shots. Nick acrobaticly flipped to his side, dodging the plasma shots. To Nick's left the other grunt let go his round. Shadow snapped his left arm up, revealing his plasma deflection arm-guard. The plasma decinigrated on his guard and Nick shoved his knife into the grunt's skull.
Nick then turned to the last grunt, and threw his knife. It whipped end-over-end, and then plunged into the alien's neck. Without Nick noticing, the fog had lifted, enabling him to see back to his teammates. He did the same arm motion that Kyle had done, and the team responded.

Shadow, Whisper, Cobra, and Hotfoot (Demolitions man) continued down the trail with assorted leaves, trees and grass to pass over. There was suddenly a loud explosion from up ahead. "What the hell was that?" Kyle said outloud. "Just a second, let me check." Ryan said holding the binoculars to his eyes. "Oh shit. We got five elites, three jackals, and eight grunts." Ryan observed.
"Ryan, take out those elites and jackals, I'll take out those grunts." Kyle said. Although armed with two SMG's, Kyle had more in his arsenal. He carried a JACKHAMMER rocket launcher on his back and an M6D pistol.
Ryan, on the other hand, carried a PSG-5 sniper rifle, two frag grenades, an M6D pistol, and BISCOL combat knife.
The two spread to opposite sides of the forest. Kyle got closer, and beared his rocket launcher. He then let go his rocket. There was a flash as five grunts broke down into four pieces. Kyle then layed down backwards to reload.
Ryan found a perfect spot by a tall tree with overhanging leaves. He layed down in a prone position, and pulled out the support prongs on the bottom of the rifle for best accuracy. Whisper looked through the scope. He pulled the trigger twice, and two elites fell dead with bullets in their chests. Then there was another flash, as the remaining three grunts, and one elite were blown to bits. This made Whisper's job easier. Ryan then pulled the trigger, hitting the last elite in the back of the head. He then motioned towards his right, to face the three jackals. Fortunatly, they were all faced the other way, so Whisper had a clear shot at their backs. And that was exactly what he did, as two jackals fell dead with large wounds in their backs.
The last enemy turned with with caution, unveiling it's head into the open. Ryan zoomed in to be more careful. He aimed and shot, nailing the jackal between the eyes, as it's knees hit the ground with blood spurting from it's brain. Ryan held up his binocs again for one more scan. "Were clear." he said.
