Halo 3: The Beginning
Date: 26 May 2005, 5:13 AM

Introduction:This is the continuation of Halo 2, the opening cinematic sequence of Halo 3. I assume that all of you that are reading this have already finished Halo 2, so you have seen the end cinematic sequence. This is actually overlapping with the end of Halo 2. Enjoy my version of Halo 3

"And where, Oracle, is that?" Arbiter asked Guilty Spark. The little floating sphere of a robot turned to Johnson, then Miranda Keyes, and finally Arbiter again. Waves of light rippled from the "eye" of the Oracle.
Arbiter had just defeated Tartarus, Chieftain of the Brutes and stopped Halo from activating. Yet, the universe was still in much danger. A signal had been sent out to all the other Halos and they were ready to fire on command. Guilty Spark had revealed that from the Ark, the other Halos could be activated.
"The Ark," Guilty Spark droned, "You will not be able to get there anyway. It has already left."
"What do you mean?" Miranda Keyes asked. She brushed aside a lock of hair in front of her eyes. Suddenly, Guilty Spark flew back.
"Hey!" Arbiter shouted. He watched Guilty Spark fly towards a lumbering hulk.
"It's Mr. Mohawk!" Johnson yelled. Guilty Spark attached to Tartarus' Gravity Hammer. Tartarus' fur was stained with blood, his and the Elites' that he had killed.
"Meddling fools." He growled. "The Great Journey must begin! You have only delayed it."
"Tartarus!" Arbiter shouted angrily, flicking on an energy sword. "I will end this now!"
He rushed forward, ready to slice Tartarus in half. Tartarus removed Guilty Spark from the Gravity Hammer and swung over his head before slamming it down to the ground. A wave of energy exploded out and threw Arbiter back. Johnson raised his Particle Beam Rifle and took aim at Tartarus.
The Brute Chieftain immediately activated his Aegis Shield, a shield that made him nearly invincible. Johnson fired two times rapidly into this shield to no avail. It was too strong.
Arbiter climbed back up and ran forward once more. Tartarus ignored the Arbiter. Instead, he ran for the edge of the platform he was on. A faint humming noise could be heard in the distance. Elites leapt on the Brute from above, firing on him with their weapons.
The faint humming in the distance slowly grew into a loud buzzing. Arbiter looked behind him. A spot on the wall of the control room was glowing red-hot. The spot grew larger, like a stain spreading across cloth.
Meanwhile, Tartarus was swinging his Gravity Hammer, ending Elites' lives abruptly. The remaining Elites spread out, continuing their assault. Guilty Spark continued droning out words, but they were lost over the fighting. Arbiter looked once at Guilty Spark and leapt down to attack Tartarus. The Brute looked up and swung his Gravity Hammer at Arbiter. Another Elite jumped up to protect Arbiter and was killed as the Gravity Hammer slammed into him. Arbiter swung his blade. Tartarus backed away, but it was not Tartarus that Arbiter was after. Guilty Spark was sliced in half as the energy sword finished through its intended path.
"Arbiter!" Tartarus roared. The enraged Brute ran forward, blowing back Arbiter with his sheer size and mass. Arbiter was thrown back. As he landed, he saw the spot he had seen earlier. It was white-hot now. Tartarus leapt up, ready to crush Arbiter with his weight. Arbiter rolled out of the way and looked at the white-hot spot. A Phantom crashed through the heat-weakened wall.
"Finally!" Tartarus shouted. He ran to the edge of the platform and leapt off. The Phantom passed over him, beaming him up with the grav lift. Arbiter immediatly ran to the edge as well and leapt up. The grav lift had not deactivated yet, so Arbiter flew up. Right before he entered the Phantom, the grav lift deactivated.
Arbiter fell down, grabbed at the edge of the platform ... and missed. With a cry of anguish, he fell to his doom. The yellow light of the bottomless pit flew up at him.
"You cannot die yet." A voice moaned. Arbiter immediatly recognized this voice as the voice of Gravemind.
"There is still much to do." Gravemind moaned. Tendrils curled around Arbiter and pulled him to safety.
"What is it?" Arbiter asked Gravemind.
"The Brute." Gravemind said. "He will find where the Ark is."
       "Where is it?"
"I do not know." Gravemind growled. "But I know someone who can help you."
With a column of light, Arbiter was teleported away.

That's the beginning of Halo 3. Yes, its short, but hang tight for the first mission: Cortana.

Halo 3: Mission 1: Cortana (Pt.1 of the mission.)
Date: 29 May 2005, 5:46 AM

"Ain't a Party Till I'm There."
Mission Objective: Clear the area of Brutes.

A Brute Captain was standing guard on a huge platform. Defeating the Flood had been easy, but very tiring. There was no need to be standing here guarding anymore. The Brute yawned, oblivious to what was happening behind him.
The air was distorted, rings of golden light coming up from the ground and disappearing about 8 feet above the ground. An Elite appeared, wearing the traditional Arbiter armor. The Elite, also known as Arbiter, floated above the ground while the golden rings continued to appear. In his hand was an Energy Sword. As the golden light disappeared, he dropped down to the ground.
The Brute Captain immediately swung around, Brute Shot ready. He was too slow. Arbiter swung his Energy Sword at the Brute's neck. It connected firmly and sliced the Brute's head off cleanly. The head rolled a few feet away, while the body crumpled to its knees and fell forward.
Arbiter looked around, getting his first good look at his surroundings. Around him were crashed Pelicans, strewn across the place, as if someone had tossed a handful of them like breadcrumbs. Flood bodies, Covenant bodies, all were as plentiful as flowers in an acre-large flower field.
"Captain?" A Brute grunted, from far away. The Pelicans hid him, but Arbiter knew he was close. Arbiter immediately kicked the Brute Captain's head far away into a pile of bodies and picked up the Brute Captain's body. With much more effort, he tossed it behind a Pelican. The Brute's footsteps were getting closer. Flicking off the Energy Sword, he turned on his Active Camo.
"Captain?" the Brute grunted again, coming into view from behind a Pelican. He was holding a Brute Plasma Rifle. Almost immediately, he noticed that the Brute Captain was not there. The Brute raised his Brute Plasma Rifle, sweeping the area. Arbiter looked at his Active Camo meter. It was nearly empty. He ran behind the Brute and flicked on his Energy Sword. He reappeared and cupped the Brute's mouth. With a brutal hack, he sliced off the Brute's hand that was holding the Brute Plasma Rifle. Then drove his Energy Sword deep into the Brute. The two points of the Energy Sword stuck out of the Brute's chest. The Brute struggled, trying to break out of Arbiter's grip. Brutes had enormous strength and almost broke free from Arbiter, but he was too weakened from the blade still inside him. Arbiter pulled out the Energy Sword and skewered the Brute again.
As the Brute's struggles died down, Arbiter dropped him. The Brute tried to crawl away, but he was dying fast and wouldn't be able to do anything. Off in the distance, Arbiter could hear other Brutes grunting. They knew something was wrong when their comrade suddenly stopped talking. They stopped their chattering, straining to hear something that would tell them either it was all right or tell them to call in backup.
A violet beam slashed across the air, piercing a Brute's skull. The Brute crumpled, alerting the other Brutes someone was out to kill them. They immediately fired their weapons at the spot that they had seen the beam coming from. Arbiter continued dropping Brutes with his Particle Beam Rifle. None of the Brutes had any sense to run for backup or get closer to Arbiter. In a matter of seconds, the Brutes were all down on the ground, dead as doorknobs.
As Arbiter scanned the area, searching for other Brutes, he suddenly realized where he was. He dropped the Particle Beam Rifle and looked around again. There was no mistake. He was at High Charity.
"Why did Gravemind send me here?" Arbiter muttered. But I know someone who can help you. Gravemind had said. Who was here that could help Arbiter find the Ark? Certainly not the Brutes.
"Arbiter!" An Elite shouted through Arbiter's radio. "The Brutes are taking all Covenant structures!"
"What?" Arbiter yelled. "Where are you?"
"High Charity." The Elite replied. "Along with me are the last of the remaining Elites in High Charity. We'll be fighting to reclaim High Charity."
"Wait for me." Arbiter said. "Don't start without me."
And certainly not the Elites either.

New Mission Objective: Link up with the remaining Elites. Reclaim High Charity.

Arbiter ran to the entrance of High Charity. He needed to get in quickly. The Elites were waiting. As he passed a Carbine on the ground next to a Brute, he picked it up. Reloading it, he ran faster. As he got to the entrance, the door slid open. Arbiter ran in. He was in a long corridor. A quick look told him he was only in the section that looked like High Charity. This part would lead him straight him to the Phantom platform taking him to the real High Charity.
Arbiter looked around. On top of the raised ledges, he saw two glowing green shields. Jackals. Arbiter switched on his Active Camo and ran over the Jackals. They never noticed the distorted air in front of them with the shape of an Elite in the dim lighting. Arbiter slammed the butt of the Carbine into the head of one of the Jackals. The shield disintegrated and crackled as the Jackal died. The other Jackal yelled, although its yell was pathetic, someone only 30 yards away would not have been able to hear it. Arbiter killed the other Jackal in the same manner, a swift powerful butt to the head.
Arbiter headed to the door at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully, there wouldn't be any more Brutes in this area. Just to be safe, he waited until his Active Camo recharged. Then, he activated it and headed to the door. The door slid open and Arbiter ran through. In the hall, were multiple Brutes. All of them were armed with Brute Shots. Arbiter immediately primed a plasma grenade and hurled it at a Brute. The grenade arced through the air and landed on the Brute. The plasma grenade identified the Brute and adhered.
With a roar, the Brute ran straight at where the grenade had come from. Straight at Arbiter. The Elite leapt up to the raised ledges, but was nonetheless caught in the explosion. He reappeared with nearly depleted shields. The remaining five Brutes immediately fired their Brute Shots at the Arbiter. Rolling out of the way again, he managed to dodge the grenades. Hiding behind a column, Arbiter watched his shields regenerate. He couldn't risk a plasma grenade again. He took one of the frag grenades that he had picked up from the Flood earlier and primed it. Throwing it out from behind the column on the left side, he leapt out from the right side. The grenade landed silently at the feet of the Brutes. The gorilla-like aliens only saw the Arbiter. Turning to fire, the frag grenade exploded. Shrapnel showered the Brutes, killing them.
Arbiter breathed a sigh of relief. The grenade, as he had planned, had killed the Brutes before they could fire. The corridor was now clear and he ran to the end. First, he grabbed a Brute Shot and loaded it. With his weapon leading the way, he headed for the door at the end of the corridor. As the door slid open, he leapt up onto one of the ledges. Then Arbiter scanned the corridor. No enemies on his motion tracker, no enemies in his peripheral vision. He leapt down from the ledge and ran down to the door at the end of the hall. Suddenly, the door began to slide open.
Arbiter shot like a spear onto one of the ledges and activated his Active Camo. As the door completed opening, a Brute came through. Arbiter immediately noticed something odd about the Brute. In his hands was no standard weapon Arbiter had ever seen. He had only seen the weapon a few times and less than 15 minutes ago. It was the Gravity Hammer.
With his zoom, he could see that the Brute was not Tartarus, not even a Brute Captain. Arbiter flicked on his Energy Sword and jumped down behind the Brute as he passed. As he did with the first Brute he had met earlier here in High Charity, Arbiter sliced off the Brute's head with ease.
Only interested in the Gravity Hammer, Arbiter ignored the dead Brute's body. He picked up the Gravity Hammer. Why had Tartarus trusted such a low-ranked Brute with what seemed to be his most precious possession? It made no sense. Arbiter didn't care. He dropped his Brute Shot, despite only having picked it up for a little while.

This part is only the first part of the first mission. In the second part, the Gravity Hammer Arbiter has will be explained, and the mission will be concluded.

My assumption on Halo 3

Level 1:Homecoming
Halo 3's opening shot is the Forerunner Ship hovering over Earth; salvos are firing all over from Covenant Battle Cruisers. Then Master chief is conversing with Lord Hood about what Chief intends to accomplish, he says that the two of three Major Prophet Hierarchs, Regret and Mercy were killed. Regret murdered in Chief's grasp, and Mercy sucked lifeless by the Flood. He says that Truth is the highest ranking Prophet and that if he killed the Prophet then it should completely end the Covenant. Lord Hood then gives Chief permission to do whatever he needs to stop him. You undergo the normal control test by using a Covenant targeting terminal nearby and then the transmission abruptly breaks and static buzzes.
Master Chief then tries to connect the transference and the stagnant noise sustains. Then Chief gets up and walks out of the circular tunnel and jumps out into a spectacular corridor. The hallways has Forerunner pillars placed throughout the wing, everything is covered in artifacts all originating from Halo. There is a batch of purple Covenant crates with any kind of weapons, there is also a cluster of pods that contain several UNSC weaponry. You then enter first person and pick a firearm and travel through the hallways, there are some translucent windows and you can see Covenant ships chasing UNSC ships around the atmosphere, you can then see the Cairo Station floating with the MAC-Gun completely tore away. You then keep walking and you see a troop of Jackals and they seem very vile. You dispatch them and then all of a sudden you hear Truth on the COM, he realizes you are on the ship and he threatens to execute all the Marine prisoners if you do not abandon your position, he then says that the rings are activated and once he obliterates Earth he will light the Halos and use them to create a mass assault on the rest of Humanity's planets.
You ignore it as Truth encourages his army telling them to slay you on perception. You then keep winning battles and meet with Brutes. Then after a while of walking you approach a enormous portal and a movie begins, Master Chief walks in the door and a Brute suddenly jumps out of the corner and the Spartan's reflexes react, he punches the Brute with whatever weapon you are operating. The Brute falls, revealing a vast, prison hindrance; the cell has an energy field binding its captives, it contains Elite Councilors and the rest of its kin, Grunt soldiers sit helplessly, Hunters crying out battle cries to the Brutes, and Marines are beside the old Covenant to Master Chief's astonishment they are together and entirety in amity and peace. Master Chief then walks the Forerunner panel and hits the button on the hologram computer. Then the field dissolves in the air and the Marines and Covenant filter out. Then a Zealot, Gold Elite approaches Master Chief and the Spartan clasps at your revolver stiffly. The Elite says that he is a Captain and that he and the Covenant mean him no infliction and that they need to assist him to stop Truth.
Then Master Chief asks the Elite where Truth would be and he said that there is a bridge and that they should continue onward. The movie then concludes and you now have a green reticule over your old enemies and you can command them with new controls, like telling them to cover fire or eliminate hostels and secure or defend. They then follow you out to an even bigger corridor big enough to fit a Scorpion; fires burst through vents and you see immense, forces of Brutes, Jackals, Drones, and Prophets. There are Minor Prophets around the Brutes and you kill them quickly. You hear the Councilors Elites calling the Prophet, "Traitors of the Forerunners" and you reside back to killing Brutes then you see an extension around the wing, then the Elites say that there are holes blew off the ship beyond the next room. And he says that the Humans should either stay behind so they can live or get some oxygen tanks from the arsenal. They then collect tanks and put on astronaut suits, as you repel Brutes. Then you walk to the air lock door and it opens and all of your allies jump in, steam empties the room and it opens. You then see another connection to the wide halls, this time there are holes blew of, there are Covenant Crates flying toward you and you dodge them while taking out Covenant troops.
Forerunner Artifacts that the Covenant confiscated from Halo zoom around the corridor as explosions ricochet off the glistening perimeter. You dodge these and make your way perpendicular of the air lock through the auxiliary hall. Then the Zealot Captain says that this will take too long if they linger on foot and the ship will have planted hundreds of ships now destroying the planet, so he suggests getting vehicles, which will help you flank the Brutes. He then says to his comrades to follow him and you follow the Elite, other Councilor Elites say that they are edified to begin the doubtful "Great Journey" and they say that Heresy is should have been incepted from the beginning of the Covenant. Other Grunts and Marines mutter their occasional catch phrases as you take out Brutes and Drones patrolling the corridor. After a while you start to see an opening in the way, then a huge door appears, the hanger is bolted with Covenant locks and a Marine suggests hitting it. And the door opens when you apply force, when you open the door you can see tons of vehicles, Ghosts, Spectres, Wraiths, Shadows, and the new covenant transport, Rampant, which is a smaller quicker version of the Wraith. There are stolen UNSC convoys in the bay also including, Warthogs, the new ATV's ASP's, the smaller tank, Scorpions and a few Panthers and Sables, the Panther is like the Warthog and the Sables are small hovercrafts resembling Ghosts, most likely made by the UNSC from stolen Gravity Propulsion Drives from Ghosts. And there are Brutes seeking to slay you and you kill them. Then you choose a vehicle and the rest of the Elites take their originated crafts, The Grunts hitch a ride on Scorpions driven by Marines or they take Ghosts or just ride shotgun on a Shadow. The Hunters then are transported with Shadows. As you take your vehicles you lead an army of Marines, Elites, Grunts, and Hunters to the bridge, you can hear Marines, Grunts, and Elites talking through the transmission and one of them says that the Bridge is just ahead, you keep evading flying objects flowing through the ship. And then you start to see a broad doorway as you murder Brutes. The hatch is bound in beams of luminous purple.
The Elites say that beyond this gateway there will be Truth, being defended by hundreds of Brute Honor Guards, Jackal and Drone Vanguards. Then Chief says that he intends to take Truth down and the Elites plot a diversion then you take out a squad of Brutes on Wraiths and Scorpions when you kill them a movie begins, a Hunter blasts his way into a wall and a party of Grunts with Fuel Rods come out then Master Chief tackles a wall and remnants fall down as Elites and Hunters and Marines encircle a defensive block. Then there are Brutes everywhere, there are hologram devices in every corner, and you see a huge map glazed in the projector it shows Earth and there are red blips surrounding the planet and the moon. There are platforms spiraling upwards there is also a vast screen that shows the front of the ship. Then the movie stops and you enter first person you kill all the Brutes, it takes a while because these Brutes have shields similar to Tartarus's. Next another movie begins and the Elites look around the deserted bridge. Then a dying Brute coughs up blood, as it is drenched with its own maw. A nearby Elite with an Energy Sword extends his blade to the Brute's throat. Then Master Chief crouches and places his weapon on the floor. Master Chief questions the Brute where Truth is, and the Brute raises his firearm and shoots a nearby Grunt, killing him. Then the Elite lifts his Sword and hits the Brute and after that Master Chief punches the Brute in the skull. The Zealot then comes near him and says that there is another bridge that would be extremely difficult to get to considering that the UNSC blew the way off. And that the only way there is through space and Master Chief says they need to get there by any means necessary. And the Elite agrees and tells them to follow him. You then follow killing swarms of Drones and clusters of Brutes. When you enter the hallway there are still objects floating around hitting you. You no longer have any vehicles because the halls are almost in space and if you use them you would float away.
As you keep killing Brutes, you see a large puncture in the ship and you see the other side but barely. You see battles taking place, Banshees and Hornets, the new UNSC jet, fly shooting salvos of Plasma and Fire at each other. Seraphs and Longswords chase one another around space. You can see the moon, it has a bunch of UNSC dome organized around craters and you can see a Covenant vessel bombing the domes. Then the Elite comes near and says that they can't make it across without transportation. Then you hear a jetpack and the Astronaut Marines tell you take the jetpack over to the opposite side. Then a few Ranger Elites say that they will escort the Elites and the Marines across. The Hunters and Grunts then back away and the Elites tell them to reside here. The Marine with the jetpack tells you to hold still as he places it on your back, then you see handles that appear and you grip the duel sticks. You then begin to hover, you can only go so far if you do not stay in range you will either drift away or get shot down. So you venture across space as the Ranger Elites transfer Marines, they have some sort of weapon and they cover you as Seraphs and Banshees try to flank you. As you resist the space battles you continue through space to the other side, you look around and see the Cairo Station's lighting failing and explosions smash into the walls. Then when you see the other side debris is piling up, and then you land on the surface. Then you see a broad hallway through the ruins and Brutes file out of the hallway. You kill them as you wait for the Elites and the Marines, after a while they start to come; some are injured and bleeding from the ride across. You then begin to proceed down the corridor as you continue to hear fire sounding off the wall then after many battles with the Covenant you see another large portal this is guarded by several Brute Honor Guards with the complex shielding.
When you dispatch them a movie plays and the Zealot Elite says that they cannot continue. He says that there is no way a few Elites, Humans and a Spartan can penetrate Truth's defenses. He says that without the Hunter's fuel rods they could not do anything resourceful to stop him. He says the prudent thing to do would be to slay the rest of the Brutes without startling Truth. Just then an eruption of plasma fills the room and the lighting goes out as sparks fly. The screen goes outside and the chunk of the ship that contains Master Chief the Elites and the Marines blows off the Forerunner ship. And it soars down space. Then it starts to drift towards the moon and it slams into its surface into a large gorge. You then enter first person, as your vision is somber; you leap off the wreckage as fire and plasma stream the stars. The Zealot, a few Elites and a couple of severely wounded Marines stand on the surface with you. Then you start to hear static, a voice is on the transmission and Chief tries to hear the frequency better. Then you hear clearly as static intrudes here and there, the voice says that he is Fleet Admiral Harper and he recognizes Chief's approach. Master Chief then asks what is happening and the Admiral says that the Covenant is bombarding the domes, he says that the atmospheres around the domes are failing. Then Chief says that he is on his way and that they will assist them. Then Master Chief then tells the Zealot that they need to support them and the Elite agrees. Then you proceed down the moon.
A large Covenant transport is over the domes and it is beaming toward the surface. Then a swarm of Drones fly over you and then they realize you are there and turn around. There are constant waves of them and they keep firing you then Brutes come near you and try to overwhelm you these Brutes have breathers running down tubes around their body. They are hard to kill because their sensitive parts are hidden. When you kill them all a Marine says they must continue if they want to breach the Domes. After a bunch of Battles with Brutes, and Drones you see a colossal collection of domes confine the moon. Up the spherical domes, amputated are under the Covenant Ship. The purple beam is descending down on top of the dome. There are also boarding crafts clasping onto the glass. You then walk on a steel path entering a series of trenches dividing the domes. You then see bodies ripped in half, Marines, Brutes, and Drones remains are bleeding. You see a grand postern but it does not open when you near it. Then a Marine says that the Covenant is aware of your presence and has bolted the door. The Marine suggests placing a charge on it, then all of a sudden Brutes hump off the dome and try to overwhelm you, the Marine then demands cover and you have to protect him while he places a explosive device on the entry and you get back as it explodes. Then you enter it and you see an immense fountain separating overpasses, there is foliage running down the dome and there are lakes spewing vapor and steam. You run down the walkway as you see Brutes tackling Helljumpers.
The Marines tell you that the primary chamber is ahead. Then you hear a weak Admiral Harper saying that they need to bring the turrets online. He says that when they have them, he can use it to destroy the Covenant Ship over the domes. Then a NAV point is marked as Brutes keep firing on your position. The Admiral says your illation is to secure the computer in the primary chamber, and he will do the rest, he says he is trying to fend off the Covenant from overriding the turrets. When you get to the room you see him trying to kill the Brutes with a combat knife, then you assassinate the Brutes and then the Admiral greets you, he says he is most grateful he showed up and the Chief agrees. Master Chief then asks if he had any contact with Lord Hood and then the Admiral says that the Cairo Station was blown to smithereens. He says that Lord Hood evacuated everyone, but he doesn't know if Lord Hood made it in time. Then suddenly a boarding craft claws onto the glass and drills a hole, the Brutes then issue out and attack then you go back into first person and kill them. The Admiral requests cover as he breaks into the computer interface. All you need to do is defend him and then you look outside and see huge turrets coming out of the abode of the dome. Then it starts blasting upwards and the next thing you see is the Covenant Vessel going out of control it then crashes on a crater and a massive explosion sustains.
Then the Covenant suddenly retreat and you've taken back the moon. The Admiral then thanks you and he says he will get you a transport to Earth. The screen then goes to space and a Longsword rises from the dome hanger, then the Elites say that they need to pick up the remaining Grunts and the Hunters. So the Longsword descends down to the wrecked Forerunner ship and the ramp falls as the Grunts and the Hunters board. Then the Longsword slowly dips down to New Mombasa on Earth. The UNSC headquarters are in the city. The base is concealed behind the cityscapes and the Longsword plunges to the base. You then see Master Chief walk out of the Longsword, followed by dozens of Elites, Hunters, Grunts, and Marines. Then Marine guards point their guns at the Heretics and then Master Chief says to ease up and the Marine withdraws. Then you see Lord Hood standing by a radar screen, he made it out of the Cairo Station alright he then he asks if they can ally with the old Covenant and the Zealot says that all they want to do is stop Truth from activating the rings, and hopefully stop them from annihilating the planet. Lord Hood agrees and turns to Master Chief he says that Chief needs to stop the Covenant from destroying Earth it is that simple. Which is your next mission…
Level 2: Apocalypse
Master Chief is standing next to a Major Red Elite as the Marines are panicking by the massive assault on Earth, Grunts are installing fresh Methane tanks in their backs, Hunters are strolling up and down the base, and the rest of the Elites are adjusting their armor for combat. The Master Chief is talking to an Elite, and they are looking at a diagram of Earth on the risk detector, the Elite says that the Covenant is attacking every dominant city on the planet. Chief states that they need to scare Truth and the Covenant to make them retreat while they are fortifying their army. And Master Chief says that while they are doing this they could try to take back the main spire in New Mombasa back from the Covenant, the spire is a Mac-Gun and the Covenant are safeguarding it to make sure the UNSC do not use it against them. And the Elite consents it. Then Lord Hood says that Master Chief is to take a squad of ODST's through the desert and up the spire to retrieve the Mac-Gun. Then the Zealot says that they will help him by sending a party of Grunts and a group of Elite Warriors with him to help gain the spire.
Then you get on a Pelican or a Phantom, your choice and the dropship takes you, a squad of ready Helljumpers, a party of Grunts, and a group of skilled Elites to the desert, behind the spire. Then you see a barren wasteland, you see fire whipping the dusk sky, and battles are already taking place between Marines and Covenant then you jump off the dropship and land on the desert, with two weapons. You then rush into the war; your allies follow you. You then see a band of Brutes and Jackals walking toward you. You then engage on the frontline and fire. As you proceed there is a sandstorm-taking place and it is difficult to see. The sand whips at your armor as you duck behind rocks. The Brutes keep coming they have Rampants and Wraiths to help them flank you. You can choose to board one and assist your troops across the wasteland. The desert brigade keeps following you as the battle abides. Then as you keep fighting the sky gets steadily darker and you can see the stars. You then can see the Forerunner Ship and it is hovering over Earth while releasing a purple beam descending down the spire. Then you see the ocean and a bridge extending to the city and connecting to the desert. You then see a highway and you get on it. There are Warthogs and Spectres there that you can take, the transit is a tunnel and you intrude the bridge as Brutes fire on you. Then as you get to the center of the bridge a loud explosion is fired and the bridge is split in half.
You look up to the night sky and see a large Covenant Vessel that has just fired. Then you hear Lord Hood talking to you through the transmission he says they cannot make it across so you need to travel down the transit residence under the bridge and he says there is a fleet of boats that you can take across the interval. So you make yourself down the bridge through a series of stairs while Brutes and Jackals try to mangle you. You then see a bunch of boats they are called Tridents they each have individual weapons and you pick one. Then the Elites, Helljumpers, and Grunts each board them and you lead them through the ocean. You then see Banshees and Seraphs and they try to overwhelm you. As you continue to drive, the passengers of the Tridents shoot the Seraphs and the Banshees down. When you reach the beach there is a harbor and there are clusters of Covenant troops waiting for you. The haven is shielded by a blockade of intricate troops of Brutes. You get out of the Tridents and slaughter them. You then get on a highway, while a flock of Drones fire on you. Then after you kill them one of the Elites requests a couple of Shadows and Ghosts and the Helljumpers ask for Warthogs and Sables. Then a few trips of Phantoms and Pelicans give you the convoys. Then you see a large tunnel with a highway that looks like it leads up to the spire so you go through it. The lighting is failing so you either use your vehicle lights, or if you chose to go on foot you can use Master Chief's new addition on his suit, you can now use Night Vision. So you proceed up the highway, then you enter a bare courtyard that holds several hovering Banshees that you obliterate.
Then you hear Lord Hood again and he says you are right near the spire he says the closest way up the spire is through a building by taking an elevator, when you reach the crown of the skyscraper you will take a transfer up to the spire, it is a davit that takes you up the spire to the dwelling of the tower. So after you rid the courtyard of hostile enemies you go to the NAV point marked on your HUD and enter the skyscraper, inside are wildfires, and you see Brutes and Jackals patrolling the offices. The faculty's cubicles contain Jackals and Drones that hiss and buzz at you viscously. As you slay them you see an immense door that you take, it is bigger than the elevators you took in the past you can see the city through the window, as Drones fly upwards and try to break the glass with their claws. When you reach the top you see Jackals waiting for you. These are unique Jackals, they have bigger shields than usual they are covering their bodies and they are more vile than other Jackals. After you take them out you see the arch davit and then you and your brigade enter it and you press the button, you then start to drift up the transit. You look down and see many battles taking place there are gaps in the davit so you can snipe some enemies and help your allies. When you see the spire Drones lynch your position.
The span is filled with Drone hostiles; they try to cut the cable holding the davit. So you have to kill them or you will fall to your immanent doom. When you reach the other side there is a ramp that drops the davit on a port. Then you jump off the davit and you are on one of the spiral annexes surrounding the spire. You then see a staircase running down the annex and you go down it, you have to go around the annex to get to the spire. So you proceed, the Jackals with the new shields try to kill you as Sniper Brutes hide and try to assassinate you. As you go around the annex you look outside through windows and see more enemies falling down the beam from the Forerunner Ship they enter the spire and try to kill you. When you get to a certain point of the wings surrounding the spire a movie begins and the screen goes to the control room of the spire, there is a minor Prophet in there and he is talking to a hologram, the hologram is Truth. The Minor is saying that the humans are evading and trying to take back the planet and Truth says that there is nothing that can stop them then all of a sudden the Master Chief bursts through the door and he points his weapon at the minor. Then Brutes close in on you… Your job now is to kill the minor, Honor Guards swell on your position and you kill them then the minor bugs out and try to run away. You then catch him by killing him. Then as it dies you fire whatever weapon you have into its skull and it dies slowly. You then tell Lord Hood that you are on the spire and he says to secure the room and then you need to slice the computer. Then you take the MAC-Gun back from the Covenant, when you kill the remaining Honor Guards you go to the computer and press several buttons then a movie starts and you see a huge turret emerge from the top. The Magnetic Accelerator Cannon upgrades to a bigger tower; parts are put into place near the basis. Then a huge grip slaps the MAC-Gun down like a Shotgun and you see bleak, fire shoot to the sky the fire hits the Covenant Ship over New Mombasa, it steers out of control and lands into the Indian Ocean. Then you see Lord Hood on a screen in the Control Room and he thanks you, he says that every major city in the world has spires similar to the one in New Mombasa to secure Earth from the Covenant. Lord Hood explains that New Mombasa is Earth's capital city, and this spire Control Room is the Center of the thousands of cities internationally.
So they can use this Control Room to infract through the other spires to gain the MAC-Guns back and utilize it against the Covenant. The Master Chief asks if there is anything else he can do and Lord Hood says that there are Banshees and Seraphs surrounding the Spire trying to find the Master Chief, Lord Hood says that he needs to disable them and return to the base for next missions briefings. Then you step outside by taking a ladder, and look to the twilight sky, there are Seraphs and Banshees hovering over you and as soon as you are visible they open fire. There are a lot of them so you have to take your time. The only lighting you have are blinking lights from the city, fire and plasma grazing the night, and the Moon. So it is very difficult to see them. There are AP Turrets, Shade Turrets, Plasma Cannons and Mobile M68 Gauss Turrets to shoot them with there is also a nearby armory with Rocket Launchers and you can home in on them. The Seraphs armor is a reconnoiter class, and is more complex to destroy but with precise technique you can bring these down. You then get word from an Elite that they should steal a Seraph or a Banshee and of back to base. The Marines then say that they will stay behind to breach the other Spires across the world. Then more Seraphs and Banshees fall from space and you commandeer one as they try to swoop down and run you over. When you get in one there is NAV point marked on your Heads Up Display, you have to land it on the UNSC base across the desert, but wait it gets worse as you fly over the metropolis and enter the outskirts there are swarm after swarm of impending Drones, these Drones try to knock you out.
There are Brutes on Jetpacks that try to pierce your Banshee or Seraph there are clouds of plasma being fired from gun placements planted on buildings and guarded parts of expanses in the cityscapes. The gun placements are the same, from the beaches of Outskirts. They shoot plasma at you and these Brutes have direct accuracy, so you have to do a few tricks to outmaneuver them. You then can choose to take out these gun placements all located on different portions of the city. The Seraph has unique turrets that fire from the front of the aircraft. Their fire is similar to the Wraiths that fire in repeated plasma salvos. You then can choose the other option to fly through the clash and glide over the desert as Phantoms and Old Covenant Dropships drop convoys around. Then another movie initiates and you see Master Chief land on a pad in a large hanger beyond the desert and by the ocean. Then he steps off whatever vehicle you chose and you see Marines and Elites greeting you, a Marine says that Civilian casualties were maximized since the Covenant ambushed Earth, and Chief asks what they are doing about it and they say that they are keeping them in diverse shelters including here. Then you can see children crying and innocent people lying in mats around the base. You then see Grunts playing tag with the kids and other parents looked distraught. Then Master Chief says do whatever they can do to comfort them. And then you enter the inner base and Lord Hood says that all the major cities are being taken back from the Covenant, then he says that the Covenant have ordered a full retreat and are now fortifying their troops.
