The Probe

0700 Hours Septemer 10, 2552
Chapter 1
It has been two weeks since Cortana and the Master Chief escape the blast from Halo. They have not seen nor heard from any colony yet.
On Board the Longsword
"Cortana?" "Yes." "Anyword yet from Earth or a colony." "No." Then the master chief face looked like they world never hear from Earth again.
"Master Chief I have a distress call from...oh my God it's Earth." "What?" "Earth is under attack. The MAC cannons on Earth are barely protecting it. We have to get there before Earth is over run."
"Okay" "All we have to do is go into slipspace briefly." "Okay."
"We are entering slipspace in three....two...one. Exiting slipspace in three....two...one." Master Chief was thinking how different Earth was since he last was there.
"Master Chief there is a probe on radar. Should we intercept?"
"Yes." "Okay we have intercepted the probe and it is in the docking bay." "Okay."
"Cortana there is a video attached to the probe." "Play it." "Okay."
"Anybody who is listening to this HELP US! This is Sergeant Ky Kiami. HELP US.
we are under attack at Earth help." Then there was a big explosion. "I hope he is okay."
"We are entering UNSC space. Look to the right we might be able to see Earth." "I see it. hurry it is trouble." "Were should we land lets land on?" "Washington D.C."
Then a Covenant ship spotted the Longsword and shot the Longsword and they where going off course and landed in the middle of a Covenant invasion.
"Cortana where have we landed?" "I can't tell? Hold on I am going to access the Covenant Battle Net" Then the Master Chief heard something in a bush nearby. So he took a assault rifle, a pistol, and four fragmention granades.
"Who is there?" Then ten marines stepped out of the bush. There was three snipers, one demolition expert, and the others just had shotguns, assault rifles, and pistols.
"Who are you" One of the marines asked. "I am the Master Chief from the Pillar of Autumn, from Reach."
"Sir" "Yes" "Do you have any suplies in your ship?" "Yes you may have them." "You two marines get the supplies from the ship." "What is your name" The Master Chief asked. "I am Sargeant George Mattes"
"There is a military base called 'The Fortress' a few kilometers from here." Cortana said.
"Sargent can you take me to 'The Fortress'?" "Yes sir. Marines assemble. We are going to lead the Master Chief to 'The Fortress' so get ready." "Yes Sir." They said.
"All we need to do is follow that trail to the north." Said a marine. "Okay Master Chief you take point." Said George.
"We're here." "All I see is a storage shed?" "There is a elevater in it. Marines get in the elevater." Then he pressed the down button.
When the elevator stopped and the door oped they were met with a man. "Welcome Master Chief I am General David Bages. We never thought we would see you again. After you guys escaped Reach you dropped out of contact. What happened to you?"
"Well its a long story I will tell later." Then a marine interupted them and gave the general some papers. "Master Chief I am sorry but I need you to go on a mission. Actually it is a series of mission if you succed it may change the tide in the war."
"What are they?" "The first mission is to infiltrate a Covenant ship. Inside that ship is a encrpted file I need you to get it for me." "Okay and the other mission?" First worry about the mission you were told about. You will leave in twenty-four hours. Until then I need to see Cortana."
After the Master Chief handed over Cortana a marine came up to the Master Chief. "Sir could you please follow me to you room." Then the marine led him to a room with one bed, a frigerater, and a computer.
"You will stay here and the restrooms are down the hall." Then the Master Chief took off his armor and put on some blue jeans and a shirt. Then he went to sleep.
"Chief! Chief!" Cortrana yelled. "What?" "I have a surprise for you go to the armory." "Okay."
The Master Chief got up and went to the hallway. "Umm Sargeant do you know where the armory is?" "Yes follow me."
The Master Chief followed him to the armory and he stepped in. "Cotana what is the surprise?"
Then the room let up and a suite of armor appeared. "Put it on." The armor felt stronger and he was faster in it.
Then the ground trembled. "What was that Cortana?" "Shot the Covenant have found the base go to the control room. AND GET ME OUT OF THERE!" The Master Chief grabbed a battle rifle and a pistol and some granades.
Then a door exploded and several elite came out. "Fire in the hole!" The Master Chief yelled. And three marines ducked while one took cover and the elite flew over the marines and then they hit the Master Chief.
His armor barely took any damage. "Master Chief follow me to the control room." Then the marine took a Heavy Machine Gun off the floor.
Then the Master Chief followed her to a door and three Hunters blew open a door. "I will take them on go though that door!" The marine shot directly at the center hunter but hit all off them and they fell quick. "Go!"
He quickly ran to the elevator it went straight up. The door opened and it turned out they already have control of the control room. He ducked behind a computer desk.
"Fire in the hole!" He yelled. The granade took out three Elites there were three left. He finished them off with his battle rifle. He found Cortana and the General. "General! Are you okay?" "Yeah."
"Go to the surface there will be a longsword and I have activated the self destruct. Take the elevator there."
He got in the longsword and went to the nearest covenant ship and watched the base explode.

0900 Hours September 14, 2552
Chapter 2
"Cortana?" The Master Chief asked.
"Yes." she replied
"What is the name of the ship we are going to?"
"The 'Armageddon'."
"Nice name."
"Yup."
"So what do we do when we get in there?"
"Just sneak by 1,000 different covent." She said sarcastically.
"Master Chief were here."
"How do we get in?"
"The ship has a big hole in it from an earlier battle. Oh and we are gonna need to borrow a banshee."
"I know I am going to regret this but why do we need to borrow a banshee?"
"Because in order to get in the ship we need them to lower their shields. To do that they need to fire...at the longsword."
Then the Master Chief jumped out of longsword and went to the hole in the ship. "Jump!" Cortana yelled.
As the Master Chief got through just as the force field went down. Then the longsword blew up.
"Where do I go now?"
"Take a left then the elevatorat the end of the hall." The Master Chief took a left and saw three jackels. He shot the light and took care of them on at a time.
"Hold on there is way to much activity around the corner. Place a remote grenade where the three jackels were. Now go to the room next to the elevator door and blow it."
Then the grenade blew and the Covenant went to check it out while the Master Chief sneaked by them to the elevator.While going up in the elevator he notice that it seems that they left all of the vents open.
Just as the elevator stopped he jumped into the vent under the floor. Then he went over to where a elite was guarding a door.
Then one grunt approched the elite.
"I need to talk to the prophet." The grunt yelled.
"Why?" The Elite yelled back.
"Because we have a intruder in the ship and he might be in the ventilation so I need him to approve something."
"Fine but hurry he is in a bad mood."
Then the Grunt entered the room and so did the Master Chief.
"Prophet?"
"Yes?"
"There is an intruder in the ship so I was wondering ifn I should send out the Brutes?"
"Do you know anything about this intruder?"
"He seems to be the one from 'The Fortress' and Halo."
"Yes send them out now get out."
Then the Grunt left.
"I know you can probaly here me so you are the last surviver of Halo, The Pillar of Autumn and of your home planet." he said with a sinister smile.
That struck a nerve with the Chief. He was just about to come out of the vent to kill him when he got an order to stand down.
"Who is this?" he yelled
"This is Corneal Ky Kiami. I said stand down. I am coming to your level."
Then the Master Chief went to check on the prophet whenhe noticed he was gone and the room was filled with this unknown Covenent.
"That must be the brutes." Cortana said.
Then a slamming noise through the vent.
And then he saw that the whole room was sealed off including the vents.
"What do we do now?" Asked the Chief.
"Get out the vent and fight them. NOW! Becaus they might have a gun that can blast through the door!" said Cortana.
Then the Master chief got out of the vent and shot at them with a pistol and it had no effect at all.
"Shot at them with the Heavy Machine Gun it is much more effective." said Corneal Ky.
It toke him five minutes but he finally killed them.
"Go to the control room I will meet you there." said the Corneal
The Master Chief got halfway there when he noticed that there was no Covenant.
"Corneal are you there?" The Master Chief said over the radio.
"Cortana where was he when he last radioed us."
"He was in a lauch bay a floor below."
Then a Grunt came a round the corner.
"There he is!" said the grunt and five hunters came out and shot at him and made hole in the floor.
He took care of them with three fragmention granades and four well placed bullets.
Then he heard marines shouting from the floor below.
"Hey look there is a spartan on the floor above." said a marine.
The Master Chief help them up and took care of five elites.
"Master Chief lets hurry and take control of the ship. The prophet has already left so it should be easy." Ky said.
The Master Chief got to the Control room with little resistance.
Then the Corneal radioed into his 'superiors'.
Then the Master Chief got the file and took care of the rest of the Covenant on the ship.
"Master Chief someone needs to talk to you follow me." Said a marine.
"Hello Master Chief I am Captian Samantha Lensley. Thanks for helping to get control of the ship I was sent here to pilot the ship and get the encrypted file." The Captian said.
"Master Chief I read the file and it is all about their tatical data, ship scamatics, and the coordinates to another Halo." Cortana said.
"What!"
"Excuse me but as you probaly know from Cortana they have found a second halo. We are sending you there and another ship simalar to the Pillar of Autumn it is called the Arcnine you will leave tommarow."

Chapter 3
1300 Hours September 15, 2552
"Master Chief we're here at Arcnine."said the pilot in the longsword.
Then the Master Chief stepped off the longsword and took a glace at the ship.
It had the frame of the Pillar of Autumn, but it had five MAC cannons. They also said it is ten times as fast and it had a plasma shield.
"Cortana would like to be the ships A.I. I am Captian Ryan Sprowl" he said.
" Yes sure but---"
Then he interupted before Cortana could finish.
"You will still go with the Master Chief on missions."
"Ya sure!" she said with enthusiam.
"I need to install you into the mainframe right now."
"Okay Chief yank me."
"You seem to be in a little in a rush."
"I know but I being in here in a little small."
Then the Master Chief gave Cortana to the Captian.
"Master Chief please follow me to your room." said a marine that was trying to tie his boots.
"My name is Sergeant Kyle Elder. I will probaly be with you in most of your missions. Okay we're here. We are sharing this room."
Then he stopped talking like he was expexting something or someone.
"Sergeant Kyle Elder please report to the bridge immediatly." blasted the intercom.
"I better see ya at the meeting at 0700 at the briefing room Sir." Kyle said.
Then the Master Chief went over and found a labtop and research what has happened while he was gone. It turns out that while he was gone major weapon improvements have been made like the pistol it can shot farther. Then he fell asleep.
Meanwhile on the bridge
"Hey Captian should I tell the Chief about project SPARTAN III." said the Sergeant.
"Tell him when he wakes up. That includes you Cortana." the captian said.
"Who me I wouldn't dare of telling him yet." she replied.
"Be careful Sergeant."
"Be careful why?"
"Because you are telling him and you will be battle ready when you tell him."
"Master Chief wake up. Wait keep your eyes closed."said Kyle.
"Why?"
"Go to the armory."
"Then when he opened his eyes he was gone."
Then he walked into the hallway and asked a marine to give him directions to the armory and saw something he thought he would never see again another spartan. It looked exactly like him but his suit was black.
"Sergeant?"
"Yup."
"Your a spartan?"
"Ya I wanted to tell you but the captian stopped me.
He was able to stop Cotana." he said jokingly
"Master Chief we sould get to the briefing room."
Then he left.
He left the armory and went to the briefing room. He rushed in and saw the Captian, Cortana's image, and Sergeant.
"Master Chief please sit down. I know you probaly have alot of questions I will tell everything. Well it started when you went missing after the fall of Reach we started project SPARTAN III. The only thing different from you and him is just alittle bit more powerful. You will leave on a longsword to Halo right now so you three get prepared in the launch bay. Oh ya here is cortana."
He gave Cortana to the Master Chief and then they went to the longsword.
"Hello Master Chief welcome aboard." said the pilot with a russian accent.
"Nice to see ya again Sergeant." the co-pilot said.
"So Sergeant do you know where we are going?" said the Chief.
"We are going directly to the Control room ."
"Look you two remeber this is still called a fortress world so be careful just in case they have those flood." Cortana said.
"Master Chief we're here." the pilot said.
"Ready Sergeat." the Master Chief asked.
"Ready as I will ever be."
"Be careful it is going to be heavely guarded. I will pick you up at 2300 hours NO LATER." she warned them.
Then the spartans jumped off the longsword and went to the entrance of the structure. It looked very different from the one on the other Halo. It had a statue blocking the door. It had strange writing on it and it looked very similar to the brute.
"Cortana can you decipher the writing?" The Sergeant asked.
"It will take me a while before I can make a rough translation." she responded.
"It looks like we don't have much time." the Master Chief said while watching five Banshees appear behind the hills a hundred meters behind them followed by fifty dropships.
"Hurry hide!" the Chief said.
Then both of them jumped behind the trees to the left. Suddenly the banshees fired at the statue continuesly until it crumbled into sand. The Sergeant took a peek into the stucture when the banshees went to escort the dropships. He came back in a rush.
"Master Chief we need to get out of here!" he said in a scared voice.
"Why?"
"The structure is filled with Brutes!"
"We have to go in there is now where else to go."
"Okay but lets hurry before they hear the covenant ships, they are asleep."
They sneaked into the sturucture and slowly rushed to the door to the left. Then one of the brutes slowly got up and saw the two and woke the others they barely got through the door alive.
"Master Chief I have finally deciphered the insciption. The brutes are not Covenant they are forerunner." Cortana said.

Earth Under Fire
Date: 6 October 2003, 8:18 PM
1523 hours September 15, 2552/ Control room
"Master Chief behind you!" Kyle said.
He quickly turned and saw a prophet with six black elites with battle scars behind the prophet.
"Hello you must be the infamous Master Chief." Said the prophet. "My name is Joloner Akin. I have been following you since you destroyed HALO. This HALO isn't like the one you destroyed. We Covenant built this Halo to . . . well . . . distract you. Right now Earths defenses are completely gone. We have a full scale invasion in play. You and this person are gonna die here. Because this Halo is going to explode. Remember when you the brutes. They are forerunner. The forerunner were a little bit more advanced than you. They were easily destroyed because they were less in numbers."
The Chief and the Sergeant shot at them but it went straight through them. They were holograms.
They quickly ran outside and saw yellow brute blood everywhere and no one was around to stop them. They quickly saw the Longsword and jumped in.
"Where the hell where you?" the pilot asked.
"We were busy." The Sergeant said.
They barely escaped when the Halo detonated and a huge chunk of it came very close to hitting them. Then the UNSC ship, Arcnine, appeared in front of them.
"Captain there is something on the radar!" a tech said to him.
"It must be the Spartans let them in." The Captain said. Then he went to the launch bay and saw the Spartans leap out of the ship covered in yellowish blood.
"Chief, Sergeant get some rest and meet me at 0700 hours tomorrow. Then the captain took Cortana's disk and implanted it into the bridge's computer.
"Cortana enter hyperspace heading for Earth."
"Yes Captain." The A.I. said.
The Master Chief walked slowly into the briefing room without his armor. He looked pale like a ghost. In the briefing
room was the captain, Sergeant, an admiral, and a general.
"Hello Master Chief please sit down so we can begin." Said the General. Then the Master Chief sat at the end of the table facing directly towards the general.
"I have got some very bad news people. Earth is under a very big full scale invasion. We are heading there. In fact when this meeting is over we will most likely be there so lets get down to business. When we drop out of hyperspace All of us will immediately start to attack a covenant ship that is trying to blow up the moon to destroy all life on Earth. All of us except you master chief you will help kill those bastards who have made it to Earth. So Master Chief get ready we will be there soon." The general said.
So the Master Chief went to his room and put the armor back on. And he went to the bridge to get Cortana and saw the captain there.
"Hello Master Chief." Said the Captain. Then the whole ship tilted to the left flinging many people out of their seat.
"Cortana what was that?" the captain asked.
"The launch bay it was hit. 15 Longsword were destroyed." She replied.
"Damn. I guess your going alone we need all the rest of the ships for the mission. Here take Cortana and get out of the ship."
The Master Chief took the A.I. disk and rushed to the launch bay. He had never flown a Longsword and looking at the controls gave him a headache.
"Just put me into the controls I will fly." Cortana said.
"Good." The Master Chief said.
He put the disk into the controls and looked outside and saw Arcnine shooting at the covenant ships. He slowly turned and looked in front of him as he slowly turn he saw a black dark cloud covering the ground and the air was filled with ash and smoke.
"Okay take me out the ship is set to automatically land." Cortana said.
"Where are we going?" The Chief said.
"The base 942 Alpha K."
The Longsword landed and he jumped out and was met by a marine. He looked like he was of sergeant rank.
"I am Private Allison Crossed. Follow me." He said.
They went down into the base while two pilots went and jumped into the Longsword. Each time a bomb hit the ground it felt like the building was going to fall in.
"Oh we are going to need to borrow the Longsword."
Then suddenly a General interrupted them. She had a helmet covering most of her head. She had green eyes and red hair.
"I am Jeuleat O'Niel. I have a favor to ask you. An admiral is located 2 clicks away in the city. We need you to go there and extract him or get his neurochip. He has the location to a very important ship. It was lost during a battle all we know is that it has a certain item that could turn the tide of the war.
