After Reach Part 1

FALL OF REACH / 0747 6 SEPTEMBER 2552 (MILITARY CALENDER)/
UNSC Corner Of The Earth, UNSC Even After All PLANET THRESHOLD
AFTER REACH
CAPTAIN: (the captain is leaning on the rails looking through the glass cockpit of his ship wondering what to do after the fall of Reach, his singing an ancient track called Disney - Jungle Book - I Wanna Be Like You)
" Honey" Honey was the ship's AI and also the mascot, and recently been the sex symbol for the marines and the ships crew, due to the fact that all for an AI she seems to be just wear a bikini with the UNSC logo and a Thong, " Honey tell me what's the state of the ship is now".
HONEY: aye aye sir, (few seconds later) extensive repair are being made on all decks they should be finished within the hour sir, engineering Shaw-Fujikawa drive still being repaired but they should be operable within 30 minutes, coolant leaks in the reactor have been fully repaired, all archers missiles ready. The ship should be fully operational in two hours sir.
Captain: "ok then thank you Honey" Honey then replies anytime sir and winks at the captain before disappearing. "Hmmm lieutenant Hoshi give me sickbay report".
Lt Hoshi: well sir most of marines are still recovering from the previous encounter from the covies, but they should be fine sir, and rest of the crew we have had 20 fatalities 50 are in ICU. Most of the other marines are in funeral detail sir.
Captain: "Lt Salmons how's the sensors" Lt then says that the sensors most of the main sensors are operating and that the other sensors are being repaired a new communication and navigation dish is being installed, the captain then asked the Lt to hail Commander Martins he was the captain of the UNSC frigate Even After All, the frigate was badly damaged so Captain Khader was babysitting the ship till it's repairs was done, "so commander how's your ship doing", well the commander replied sounding pleased, " all the decks have been repaired the reactor is getting close to 100 percent operational, the archers pods are all packed the MACS are warming up, and I nearly have all my sensors up and running just got the AI running diagnostics sir", Captain Khader sounding pleased " good to hear ok then call me if you need any help I'll send some of my men to you",
" I think I'll be fine sir but thanks anyway Martins out" the commander replied. Then the captain had a good look at his bridge it's been a week since the fall of REACH, the UNSC managed to set up a new FLEETCOM HQ on one of the planets that the Covenant missed, but as for the whereabouts of the other ships is not sure but the captain was sure that they would try to regroup when it was safe, "ok then Lt Carson" he was the ops officer, "I'm off to retire to my cabin take the bridge don't call for the next two hours ok unless it's necessary".
Lt Carsons: "aye aye sir enjoy your rest Captain" and as the captain walked away and heading towards the lift, he replied "I'll try lieutenant", the Lt looked walked around the bridge everyone was pretty quiet, getting on with the job, "ok then Honey can you please play me bring me sunshine please", honey then appeared and put on his song, and the commander started singing, he started to see a few smile appear on the bridge, so he asked the other to join in slowly some of the crew started singing with him.
Back at the captain's room he loosened up his uniform and sat on his chair
by the bed looked across the blank screen on his wall, for about 5 minutes he sat there quiet,
" Activate private album, the honey moon please, oh and play Nat King Cole - Let There Be Love".
As the video played of the captain and his wife Ashley during the honeymoon, she was blonde blue eyes and had the grace of an angel; there was so much love he had for his wife, he would film her wearing her wedding dress then taking off and teasing him to come to bed, then the next clip showed them just the two being two talking, laughing, kissing, and the first thing she wanted was a baby, then he changed to another video of his wife and him at the wedding reception, slowly dancing with each other looking lovingly into each others eyes kissing slowly on the lips, then he moves to the last clip of her saying I love you to the captain and that he better come back home then blows a kiss to him, the video ends abruptly, the captain got off the chair and lied down on his bed, the captain only ever thought of three things, one the hope that he would see his wife someday again, the welfare of the UNSC and last but not least the destruction of the Covenant, then just like that the captain went to bed to dream about those precious few days he spent with the wife before he went to war.

WHAT EXLPOSION?
Back at the bridge of Captain Khaders ship, Lt Carsons been keeping himself occupied looking at reports and so forth when, Lt Hoshi got startled by something,
"Lt sir I picked up something big on my sensors sir", the Lt walked over to Lt Hoshi's to see what she was on about, " it's an explosion it's from the planet Threshold" Lt Hoshi replied, Lt Carson being slightly puzzled by this then replied " Threshold is gas planet they don't explode like that", now both the lieutenant were puzzled by the explosion, " ok Hoshi look into it a bit more I'm gonna call the commander" ordered Carsons, " commander did you get that that explosion also", to which the commander replied "yah some of the crew are puzzled we can't make out all of it the moon is covering some of the explosion, hey Carsons get the Captain, I'm gonna get crew to look into if I find anything I'll tell you ok", acknowledging what the commander
said he called the captain.
"Captain Sir we have something to show you sir, can you make it to the bridge sir"
The Lt sounded curious on the channel, so the captain got up put on a new uniform washed his face, and left the cabin heading towards the bridge.
"Ok then Lt what you got for me Hoshi", Lt Hoshi looked at him and then said
" here sir some explosion went off near the planet Threshold, but the weird thing is that the sensors is picking up odd thing", to which the captain replied "maybe something crashed there", Lt Hoshi then informed the captain that the explosion didn't come from the moon or the planet she said " sir something exploded between the planet and the moon sir, not sure what it is captain do we like have some sort of remote sensor outpost there", this piqued the captain interest in the explosion, " well no outpost there, is there any covenant activity",
"No sir nothing but I'm picking up a lot of debris sir, what the hell happened there",
The Lt sounding slightly concerned.
The captain then stared across to the glass cockpit of the ship, " Honey put everyone on yellow alert, and have all the Longsword squadrons on stand by", then a few seconds later everyone was on battle station, " Lt Creeks push the reactors to hundred percent", to which the Lt replied "reactors running hot sir",
"Salmons make a heading towards the planet, tell the commander to follow us"
Salmons understanding the orders he quickly typed in the commands, and slowly you could hear the engine roar into life and vibrating the whole deck, the captain then asked honey what the status of the marines, to which she said in her always cheerful sexy voice "all the marines are armed and ready, and I have point defence sir", the captain smiled and said "good girl",
"Lt Hoshi what the MACS like", then sounding confident and ready for whatever is facing on the other side, she replies "MACS armed and running hot sir and all ARCHER pods ready, all 3 SHIVA warheads ready safety locks removed sir",
The captain impressed by the lieutenant forward thinking " excellent work Lt".
With the captain finally sitting on the chair makes a simple nod at the pilot and slowly moved, armed and ready go to find out what happened at Threshold.
JUST DUST AND ECHOES
It's been an hour they have finally reached the gas giant Threshold, the whole crew at the bridge was stunned, the first person to say something was the pilots of the ships,
"What the fuck happened here" to which the second pilot said "holy fuck" looking stunned by the carnage saw several covenant ships, that looked like they were blown to pieces only a very few looked intact, but way to damaged to even be a threat.
Most of the crew at the bridge couldn't believe their eyes, a whole armada annihilated by something that not even the covenant could have survived; the captain couldn't believe it, then the commander of the frigate hailed,
"Captain! Jesus what happened here, my sensors are picking up covenant debris everywhere, and some huge pieces of some sort of structure, your sensors picking them up", the captain quickly replied "yeah I do, commander keep this line open whatever you do, don't close it keep your guard up captain out",
The captain looked at Carsons "give me something Lt" the captain ordered, to which the Lt then informed, " Sir this is getting weird I'm not just picking up covenant debris our lot was here UNSC forces here, sir something happened something unimaginable" Carson started to sound little unnerved by this, the captain was now even more surprised by the fact that UNSC forces were here among this graveyard of dead covenant forces, the captain called for Salmons " give me the commander", Salmons did exactly as ordered, then the captain ordered the commander, " Martins take your ship scout the areas ahead of me keep your guard up see if you can find any UNSC forces, don't salvage anything without my permission my orders clear commander", to which the commander acknowledged his order and replied " yes sir orders clear and understood, beginning reconnaissance work Martins out". And slowly the captain looked at the camera and saw the frigate Even After All, making its journey forward into this grave yard of ships and unanswered questions.
"Ok crew everyone start with scanning for any UNSC personnel, and intact UNSC ships." He ordered his bridge, the turn his attention to honey who was waiting for his orders, "Honey deploy all the Longswords, tell them to go to recon patrol and destroy any covenant probes that might have stayed intact after the explosion",
Once her orders where given few seconds later, "sir all Longswords have been deployed and on recon patrol, is there anything else I can do for you sir", The captain looked at honey and said "yes there is Honey shut down all unnecessary systems and divert the power to yourself for the mean time I need you to give me damage report on the covenant, and do scan on the moon to see if there is any covenant forces grounded then send in a squadron clean up what the explosion missed out ok",
"Ok sir will do buh bye" and then does a girly wave back at the captain and disappears, it's been an hour since they made it to Threshold, "Lt Carsons what of the UNSC", the Lt then reports back saying that no one survived, the blast killed both UNSC and Covenant forces,
"Salmons hail the commander please", the captain stood up, "commander anything on your side", the commander then reported back " no nothing here no one alive but I did come across these massive tiles we had a look I swear to god I saw a continent on there, captain I think these tiles make up something, some of crew think these objects might be what caused the explosion, and oh yeah nearly forgot sir while we was looking for survivors we came across these robots sir they look nothing that the covenant had sir, we did scan on them they are dead sir, sir can I have your permission to salvage a few of these robots sir ", the captain thought about it for a few seconds then gave the go ahead.
The captain was reading up on Honey's damage report on the covenant, while reading through the report, a huge scream came from Lt Hoshi,
"Captain sir I have detected a UNSC ship it's a Longsword fighter, it's soon as she said, everyone on the bridge was cheering and shouting, the captain then asked Hoshi to verify what she saw, " sir while you was reading the damage report I verified a million times, I even had honey take a look at it, sir it's a Longsword fighter intact", the captain now had smile on his face "what's the status of the fighter" the captain ordered, Hoshi now very excited "sir the engines are offline and communication is down", the captain asked Honey to send a squadron to investigate this drifting Longsword, and so Honey selected the most battle hardened Longsword squadron, the legendary Space Knights. And so when the captain looked at the top camera, as he saw his most hardened squad fly past them towards the drifting Longsword.
AND THE HORSE THE KNIGHTS RODE IN ON
"This is wing commander John Warken, how you girls and boys holding" saying it in his more comic voice, the rest of squadron all said "doing fine sir", "good good" was the answer the wing commander said, "ok then how far are we from this stray", then one of the female flight lieutenant said, exactly 500 metres and counting should make contact in 3 minutes", then the wing commander saw the drifting Longsword, and tried to communicate with it,
"This is wing commander John Warken of the Longsword squadron Space Knights do you copy over", John waited for a reply but didn't get one, and then the female flight lieutenant said "sir I think the comm. System on board the Longsword is down sir".
The commander decided to hail them one more time.
Back on the drifting Longsword, the Master Chief can see a squadron of Longsword he was happy to see them for minute he thought he would just drift,
"Cortana contact them tell them to pick us up", the master chief ordered to which, Cortana replied "well chief much as I would like to reply back the explosion, has knock down the comm. System," then a few seconds later they heard the wing commander hailing them, the master chief got of his seat and looked at the cockpit window, "Cortana can you make contact with them yet", Cortana in a frustrated mood says "I can't speak back the comm. System is screwed shit!"
Back at the squadron the wing commander decided to tow the Longsword,
"Ok then people release the tow line were taking this stray back home, then from the wing commander's fighter he shot two magnetic clamps at the Master Chief Longsword.
"Cortana what was that wait the fighter is reversing Master Chief" sounding little worried, the Master Chief looked at the cockpit window and assured that it was ok, the "fighter is just towing us back", "oh ok that was nice of them anyway they missed the fireworks", to which only Master Chief made a little smile, and sat back on the seat and strapped himself. And waited with each breath, as they got closer to the Captain Khaders ship.
AS A HALO FELL AND THE COVENANT NO MORE A SPARTAN ROSE
" Commander Martins make your way back to my co-ordinates ok" ordered the captain, few seconds later Martins acknowledged the order and turned his ship around and was heading back towards captain's ship, on the way back the commander asked why, "well commander we found a drifting Longsword were taking back to my ship",
"Holy you found a survivor yes we won we won" sounding all excited, then the commander ordered his lieutenant to move the ship faster,
Back at Captain's Khader ship everyone was feeling euphoria of finding this Longsword fighter, morale was pretty high, soon everyone is asking the captain if they could go with him to see this fighter, but the captain decided that they would be more useful if they stayed on the bridge,
" Carsons take the bridge I'm going to the flight deck, to see this, ok keep me updated if anything happens, ok''
"Understood oh and can you say hi for us if there is any survivor on board" And as the captain walked towards the lift to the flight deck he told them he would say hi for them,
He is now at the flight deck waiting with baited breath to see this ship; all the techies, engineers and the medics were waiting with excitement and nervousness.
The flight deck master clears the hangars, and decompresses the deck, 10 minutes later the Longsword squadron arrives with the drifting fighter, the captain could hear the hooting and cheering and the excitement, even he got caught by it, soon as the atmosphere was restored on the hangar the first people to arrive on the scene was the marines all surrounding the Longsword, then one of the engineers pushes a ladder towards the cockpit, and slowly the marine climbs up the ladder with his gun aimed at the cockpit window, the marine can't make out whose on the other side, he rubs the window and presses his face closer to see who it is, and the marines face goes from one of caution to one of sheer shock and delight,
"Holy fuck corporal it's its fucking Spartan sir we have a Spartan on board there is a Spartan"
The captain stood outside and immediately ordered the engineers to open the door, and as the door opened after a few minutes stood a behemoth of man he stood 8'' tall, and looked like a more like a machine, it struck that the captain that this man this legend that no one ever saw but heard of was standing right in front of him on his ship, and more amazing this was the UNSC at it's pinnacle, they were looking at a weapon, and then a burst pride flowed all over the captain, a Spartan stood in front of him, and what astounded him was that with an explosion like that, how did he survive, but then again that should be self explainable his a Spartan, they were built for war, they just survive. All the marines were stunned they all dropped their weapons and watched in awe of this warrior that the covenant feared the most, and now it was on their ship, the captain walked forward and saluted the Spartan,
" My name is Captain Foyez Khader of the UNSC destroyer Corner Of The Earth welcome aboard Spartan, it's good to see you",
The Master Chief in his usual tone then gives a crisp salute back at the captain,
"My name is Master Chief Petty Officer First Class John 117 sir"
The captain looked at the Spartan for few seconds and his suit looked all charred and dent's here and there, plasma scorches and funnily enough the suit still had it's ghostly iridescent green on the armour, the captain thought to himself must be good paint. "Well Master Chief first head towards medic, let my doctors take a look at you, I'll get the rest of the crewman to sort you out with a private quarter, I'll give you time to settle down then you can meet me back at the bridge ok." Said the captain saluting the Master Chief, the Master Chief understanding was then escorted to the medic bay by the nurses, just before the captain headed back towards the bridge, he looked at the all the crew still not over by the fact that they have Spartan on board,
"Ahem people we have a job to do so stop staring get back to duty, you can have your autograph signed later on",
Back at the bridge the whole crew were cheering and hooting, "ok people celebration time is over" ordered the captain, then Lt Hoshi asks "sir when will we get to see the Spartan sir", to which the captain answered "well right now he his being seen by the medic, then afterwards he will make his way to the bridge when he is ready, other then that Hoshi concentrate on the job, oh Hoshi leave a beacon behind, this stuff might be useful for the scientist, and Honey make an exit vector for this place, Salmons is the commander here", the Lt then said "yes the Even After All is here with us",
" ok then lets go people our job here is done" and then the captain sat down on his chair and felt the rumble of the reactors vibrating the deck, before the Shaw-Fujikawa drive ripped a hole in space, so that both the Destroyer Corner Of The Earth and the Frigate Even After All made there way towards slipstream space.
After Reach Parts 6-9

FEELING RIGHT AS RAIN
The Master Chief while being escorted by two nurses, makes his way towards the medic bay, "Master Chief reporting for medic ma am", and then everyone at the medic bay stops to look him, some of the nurses drop the equipment, even the injured marines sit to take a look at this warrior, then the head physician comes in after checking up on one of the marines, and orders everyone to get back to the duty, soon afterwards everyone back to business of helping heal others, the physician then walks forward and is startled by the size of the Master Chief, The Master Chief gives a salute to the physician, the doctor then puts her hand forward, the Master Chief looked at her hands for a few seconds, he remembered that only one other woman did that to him Dr Halsey, he shook her hands and took another look she reminded him of her, the doctor was about 35, 5'7 high, and had long wispy brown hair all tied up in a bun, " ok then Master Chief how are you feeling" enquired the physician, "well I have been fighting for a 7 days straight ma am but other wise I'm fine", the physician then ordered him to take his helmet off, and he did it was a bit of shock to think this warrior, was human underneath he was one of them, the physician looked at the Master Chief, and noticed that he was a bit fatigued by the non-stop war, so the physician recommended that the Master Chief get plentiful rest, and once his ready, to have meal so to replenish himself, the chief took the recommendation, and was escorted to a bed by the two nurses, with the physician following behind them, once the nurses helped him onto the bed, the physician looked at him and gave him a reassuring tap on the shoulder, but when she did that she felt something invisible, so she tapped him harder on the shoulder and was surprised to see it crackle across his shoulder, just before she left she told the Master Chief that captain said if he had anything that might help him, understand what happened here, the Master Chief picked up his helmet and withdrew a small credit card sized disc, and placed it on the physician's hands, the physician wondered what was it, he explained to her that this disc was the AI Cortana, she will explain what happened back there, the physician then asked one of the marine who was guarding the medic bay to come over, "ok marine take this disc to the bridge and give it to the captain personally and tell him this disc is the AI Cortana, she will explain the incident ok", he gave a salute to the physician "yes ma am", and made best speed towards the bridge, the physician then gave a smile at the Master Chief and told him to sleep like a mother would tell her kids, and went back to see the rest of the sick on medic bay, the Master Chief then straight away went to sleep.
As the Master Chief went to sleep, the two nurses watched over this still Spartan, and it wasn't long before, lust started to set in, the two nurses were looking at him intently, licking there lips. Nurse Kim is 25 5'6 blond hair and looked slim but curvy, she took good care of herself, her other friend Nurse Norah, was 27 5'7 brunette she too had a fine figure,
Nurse Kim: Oh my god he is so nice in the most primal way, I can't believe this guy Is human! (Laughter)
Nurse Norah: I know how you feel, there something about that sooo, god I can't even put my finger on it.
Nurse Kim: you know what Norah, I need to tell you something when I first heard about the Spartans, I found them so alluring mysterious and dangerous, I mean I couldn't believe that I was having these (whispering it in Norah's ears) sexy dreams about me having sex with these Spartans, and now we have one on board this ship, and I want him I want to ravage that Spartan. Oh my god when we was escorting him, back here you know how much I had to restrain myself, I wanted to rip that damn suit, and just fuck him I'm feeling so horny around him.
Nurse Norah: (lol) oh my god you dirty girl, anyway what makes you think he wants to sleep with you, I think I could give him all the love he wants, to be honest I'm kinda thinking what he must look like underneath that suit, he must have a the most perfect body ever, god he would be so yummy. Anyway it's not like we can have sex with the guy, he is like 8'' high we'd be like kids to him with the height his got.
Nurse Kim: you know what when he wakes up I'm gonna see if I can make him take his suit off, and show him the quarters and the shower and the bed especially (she is stroking her chest), and whenever he goes to the shower, I'm gonna be there and then I'll invite myself to his bed, and let him screw me all night. I so want to be his girlfriend badly (looking at the Master Chief lovingly).
Nurse Norah: well Kim bad news first UNSC regulation has it that you cannot have sexual relationship with a Spartan, and even if you wanted to have sex with him, you will probably never walk again, you know how strong he is he can go for hours.
Nurse Kim: (getting all giddy and jumpy) I know and you know what, I don't care about the UNSC regulation, I will sleep with him and he will love me (sounding a little desperate and psychotic).
Nurse Norah: well I want him too you know Kim we both can't have him, and anyway I'm older than you I can teach him stuff. And I'm stronger I can survive him fucking me, whereas you he will fuck you so hard he'll probably snap your pelvis.
Nurse Kim: whatever Norah, we'll see who he likes the most, and as for the pelvis thing fuck you, I'm strong as you, and anyway his a disciplined guy, if I tell him to slow down, he'll slow down, and just because your older doesn't mean he wants you, I'm younger and sexier, and I'll give him everything he wants, I'll do whatever he wants.
They both looked at each other, and at exactly the same time they looked at him and said "HIS MINE!" loudly, the physician then went to check what the commotion was all about, "ahem ladies the Master Chief is supposed to be asleep, not here to hear your chatter, and nurses try to be a bit more professional not act like teen girls with huge crushes", both the nurses apologised then, they asked who was gonna show him his quarters and what about the suit will it come off, the doctor then looked at them with a non plussed look and said "you both can show him his quarters, and as for the suit to come off I have some of the engineers to look at him later on maybe Cortana can tell us how to take it off, other than that ladies please keep your urges for him down to a minimum, need I remind you what you say, might get you in trouble.", both the nurses apologised and the doctor went back to work, the chatter again discussing who is gonna show what, and not too long they both started bitching about whose having him.
CAUGHT IN A BEAR TRAP
The marine arrived on the bridge " Captain sir I have something to give you sir", the captain looked from his "what is it marine", the marine then walked forward and handed him a disc, and explained to him that this disc is carrying the AI Cortana, and that she will be able to explain what happened in Threshold's vicinity. The captain then looked at marine, "thank you marine, ok then go back to your duties", the marine then dutifully saluted him "yes sir", and headed back towards his guarding post, at the medic bay. The captain looked at the disc for a few seconds, then told one of the technicians, to put this disc in the control panel, few seconds later a hologram of Cortana appeared, "oooh my wow I'm in a ship, this feels different bit more spacious than that tin can suit, oh sorry so you must be the captain of this fine ship"
The captain smile and said, "yes I' am so how are you, and I was just wondering what the hell happened here", then Cortana looked at him and started to explain about the events of halo, about how it was called a fortress world, that former race called the Forerunners who built this world, how Keyes released the flood a mutant race, and the amazing architecture, and that there is a possibility that they may be more than one Halo. And also that in the end they had to blow up the whole Halo. After listening to all of the events that happened, he looked at Cortana,
"I guess the end justify the means, well Cortana you did what needed to be done, thank you for telling me what happened, I was wondering the ship's doctor has been asking me how to take the suit off so to give him a thorough medical check can you tell us how."
Cortana replied "well captain sir the suit cant be taken due to the fact that, you don't have the necessary equipment, and even if you did sir, this will compromise the shields on the MJOLNIR armour, but rest assured sir, while we was on the Longsword I did look up on his health status, he is fine sir,"
"Ok then thank you Cortana, Honey where is the Master Chief." Then a hologram of honey appeared "sir the Master Chief is in his quarters would you like me to send him to you."
"No that's fine, Cortana if you want you may keep your Spartan company." The captain said, Cortana glad of hearing that then disappeared and headed towards the Master Chief's quarter.
"Well well Master Chief it seems like you have company, can't even leave you alone and already you have a harem of girls", the Master Chief had a little smile,
"Don't worry Cortana they are just showing me around."
"Well that's not the point Master Chief I could've done that you didn't need two nurses for that." Cortana sounding a little jealous, nurse Kim and Norah whilst stumbling and doing all things that women do to get attention of man, much to the chagrin of the Cortana, after the nurses showed the Master Chief around Kim bravely asks Master Chief about his suit.
"So Master Chief I was wondering will you take your suit off, it's just that when you sleep it might be more comfortable for you." The master chief then thought about the question, " well Nurse Kim I don't think I can take the suit as you do not have the necessary facilities or equipment, but I' am sure I will be able to sleep ma am." the nurse looked like as if all her dreams of having a intimate contact with the Spartan dashed,
"Ok Master Chief do you like have a girlfriend?" then Nurse Kim's cheeks then went red like a rose, the Master Chief was slightly surprised by the blushing.
"Well can you tell me what is a girlfriend I' am not familiar with the word."
Then Nurse Kim beamed a smile, she walked a little closer to him and said,
" It's sort of like a relationship, which is intimate and personal between a man and a woman, like for instant I can be your girlfriend, and as my job I have to support you and keep you happy take care of you, and when we have time share a special intimate bond in a room like this." The Master Chief thought about it, and said nothing of it, as he wasn't trained for situation like this, then Cortana stepped sounding very annoyed by the advances made by the young nurse, then replies "nurse Kim thank you for showing the Master Chief the quarters, and may I remind you that he is a Spartan, and you don't know him like I do, he is under my care not yours, so stay away from him Kim." Kim realising that she is jealous, then sharply replied "listen I'll do what I want your just an AI, I'll give him things you can't", nurse Kim then looked at him "Master Chief if you ever want some female company in this room all you have to do is call for me, ok and I'll be here before you know it." And then just before the two nurses left, nurse Norah quickly gave the room number, to the Master Chief and told him to come in whenever he wanted.
The Master Chief looked around and sat on his bed, Cortana looked at him and wanted to say something to him, but decided not to, back at the bridge. Captain Khader once again felt silent, all he could hear was the bridge humming and everyone silently doing there work, "honey announce the crews to make there way to cryo-sleep, except the master chief please." honey looked around and within seconds everyone started moving towards the cryo chambers,
"honey plot a course for the Alpha Omega Lazarus system"
"Yes sir"
"Oh and call the master chief to the bridge I need to talk to him", few minutes later the master chief appeared on the bridge, "ahh master chief sit down need to talk",
The master chief sat down and listened to what the captain had to said.
" well master chief right now your wondering why we are heading towards another system knowing that the covenant destroyed nearly all of them, well there's one system they forgot, it's called Alpha Omega Lazarus system., well to be honest it's nowhere in UNSC controlled space, it literally sits right outside of that fence, you see before the covies decided to wipe us out, ONI had decided that a new launch pad would be needed to further expand the UNSC Controlled space, and I was one of the few who was doing the work for the new planet, and when we found out about the covies, ONI had it wiped out from all records, so officially it doesn't exist, but we know, it does during the war, ONI was moving hundred of personnel including young Spartans like yourself" the captain smiled.
"Master Chief we will be docking at that planet, ONI wanted to call it NEW REACH, but during the war, they decided to call it REPRISE, hopefully by the time we get there, we might have made some advances in understanding those fucks."
The captain stood looked at him and told him to make his way to cryo-chamber, and gave him a salute, the master chief gave one back and headed towards the cryo chamber. The captain then sat down on his chair, and looked towards the empty black ness of slipstream space,
"sir would you like me to get your cryo-chamber ready sir, this is a long journey"
Honey informed, the captain looked at the hologram, and declined telling her that he'll stay on board, and then reclined himself in silence has his ship made it's way to REPRISE.
TITANIUM-A BELLS AND LETHAL WHISTLES
"Captain Sir wake up", honey said, Captain Foyez wakes up from his sleep on the bridge, "all the crew have woken up sir and making their way towards their stations, and we will be approaching REPRISE in 40 mins sir" honey informed.
The captain rubbing his eyes asked honey what the status of Master Chief is, honey informed him that he is fine and is currently going through the armoury, the captain then told her, that he was making his way back to the cabin to freshen up and tell the crew to start dock when they get to REPRISE.
After 40mins the both the destroyer and the frigate, docked at REPRISE. The captain then headed towards the hangar and saw the master chief, the captain walked up to him, "well master chief it has been an honour to have you onboard my ship but, now that we are here you will need to meet the spooks at ONI and they will, sort you out with new equipment and if you want to know anything ask them they'll probably know." The captain informed he looked at him and gave a salute to him and the master chief returned one and left him to his own devices as the captain went to head towards the shuttle pod Tucker. When he heard Lt Carsons on the intercom
"sir we just got given a order by Admiral Anderson he wants you to go the repair station now", the captain acknowledging the order, left the hangar and made his way to the station".
Captain Khader docked at the repair station Nylund, when he got of the pod Admiral Anderson was there waiting,
"hello son how are ya"
The captain smiled and replied "I'm doing fine sir I told the master chief that he should report to ONI, so tell me the bad news"
The admiral had a little chuckle, "I like your sarcasm captain in terms of bad news the covenant is still looking for her (earth), and the really bad news son is that, A your gonna get yourself some of the most dangerous bells and whistles so far and, B once done with that make your way towards earth, we need to shore up her defences and I sure as hell will die protecting her." The captain understanding, gave a salute to the admiral and just as he left the admiral had one more thing to say,
"Captain since you found the master chief once we have upgraded him, I want you take him to earth he'll do the rest on his own." Captain Khaders understood and made his way towards the shuttle back when he heard on the tannoy, that he needed to report to Dr Hisel, about his ship.
"What wrong with her doc" the captain demanded, the doctor looked at him and laughed,
"oh calm down sir nothing wrong with actually she should be more or a better state than she is now, I've tinkered with your ship and my oh my I really need to tell you this might give you more strategic option to fight the covenant."
The captain gave the doc a weird look and cautiously told him to proceed,
"ok then first lets get on the shuttle pod I need to show you, what sort of bells and whistle I have added." Informed the doctor, the captain and the Dr then went on board the shuttle pod and started to explain the upgrades to him.
Dr: captain do you notice anything sir?
Capt: yeah they are fitting battle plates, and I see a lot of blinking lights being added, and wait! What the hell are they doing with my MACS?"
Dr: oh calm down captain, don't worry were upgrading your MAC's to brand new A-MAC's, you see we have made some significant improvements on it, for instant were replacing the loading mechanism with something entirely new this time round, you know before you guys were only able to fire one at a time, well this time built it so that it can fire up to eight rounds in one go, and reload just as quick, and captain since you sport two MAC's, that means awful lot of firepower, good huh?
Capt: god, I mean wow, ok tell me, are we still using the same rounds on the MAC's?
Dr: oh here comes the real McCoy on this, we recently been developing brand new MAC rounds, and one of the pride and joy being the Penetrator round, oh boy you know essentially it's a standard round with a Havok Type2 in the centre, and also we managed to fit a special shield system on it, similar to the one that the Spartans use.
Capt: wow a MAC round with shields, god this is fantastic I mean I was wondering, the covenants have shields would it be able to penetrate the shields.
Dr: totally you see when you fire these special rounds what happens is that, as it travels to the intended ship it works work what the shield harmonics frequencies are, and then matches it, so when it comes in contact with the shield it passes through the shield, buries it self inside the ship and BOOM!, those covenant will get fried inside their own shield. Oh but I have to tell you FLEETCOM said that your only gonna be issued with a few of them the rest are being diverted so that can be used on they, orbitals on earth and here. Also we have improved the damage capability of the standard MAC round. Oh yeah we have built brand new Archer Type 3 missiles, they travel much more faster, counter jamming systems courtesy of the covenant, and now recognise incoming shot, so they can at least have chance of dodging them, and now they pack more in terms of damage.
Capt: well doc looks like this is more than I was expecting, oh I was just wondering, these blinking light that are being fitted on the ship, are they trying to light my ship up like a Christmas tree, or there's some madness to the method.
Dr: (lol) well captain Christmas trees don't have shields.
Capt: holy fuck! My ship got shields, holy I thought you guys gave up reverse engineering covenant shield technology.
Dr: (lol) well you see Capt Keyes left us a disabled covenant ship on a asteroid, and as Reach fell, we manage to salvage the ship and, while tinkering and throwing much mud at the wall, we finally cracked the shield system and now we have it on mass production, and FLEETCOM has decided that all ships are to be now fitted.
Capt: ok I have one worry though is the shield being powered by the main reactor, and what about when I do a jump, will the shields go down or something.
Dr: don't worry Capt when we were building the shields we decided that, it would be wise if they had there own power source, but if you want you can divert more from the main reactor, and increase the shields strengths, also we made significant improvements on like for instant when the shields start taking hits unlike the covenant, whose shields would flicker and then die, ours are like the Spartans, in that it would eventually recharge it self, though it will depend on how hard a hit it takes.
Capt: (lol) god this fantastic, I can see so many horizons opening up now, ok what else have you cooked up?
Dr: well ok first of all your reactors have been given a overhaul in that, they are now fitted with Pillar of Autumn's supercharger, and the speed of the ship has now increased by some 30%, and also recently UNSC Navigational engineers, recently said that they are making breakthrough in how the covenant do those wonderful Intrasystem jumps, and well since they are getting close the research they did gather have improved the navigation systems that exist already and the shaw-fujikawa generator been through some makeovers, your jumping accuracy has shot up by 40%, and if you really have to do pinpoint jumps I must remind you will leave yourself vulnerable, since it requires a large amount energy.
Capt: wow pinpoint jumps, more accurate slipstreaming, god I just hope this development isn't too little too late. Well anymore surprises or that's all of it.
Dr: nearly done, you know the battle plates that are being installed, well they have been treated so to speak.
Capt: treated?
Dr: yeah you see what we have done with the Titanium-A is that we managed to polarize the plates, and boy you would be surprised by what they can handle this time.
Capt: how did you polarize the plates?
Dr: oh it was an accident you see when the shield system comes online, it causes the battle plates on the ship to get polarized, we tried to look into the causes but we haven't quite pinned it down, but the interesting thing it does though is that, when ever plasma hits the plates, instead of doing what it did before which was take the shot and leaving behind a big hole, this time it spreads the damage across the plates, but I must warn you I'm not sure how many shots, it can take before it buckles.
Dr: oh I recently read your specification, for the ships but what the hell you want to do with a battering ram, and two long streaks of crimson war paint on the, on the port and starboard side. Well captain usually you wouldn't getting the luxury of getting those, but I have done some things and voila.
The captain looked at his new ship and was mightily proud to see his ship, now all ready and more than capable of handling the covenant, the captain for once allowed himself the luxury of having a smirk, he took the shuttle pod back to the repair station and thanked the doctor for upgrades, just as the captain was heading back towards his ship, the doctor wanted to know why he wanted the battering ram,
The captain smiled and said, "Well I want the covenant to know that, I ain't scared of them, and if they think they can beat me let me see if they dodge my ship, I'll take one down before they kill me." And then laughed the Dr gave a hesitant laugh and bid farewell to the captain.
MY WIFES ON THAT PLANET AND IT'S THE ALAMO OVER THERE
"Welcome back sir" announced Honey, the captain now feeling cheerful look at her gave a wink at her, he saw everyone on the bridge and he was proud to see all the crew, fully recuperated and ready for duty once again,
"Honey where's the master chief" the captain asked, honey then informed the captain that he was at medical bay, the nurses are checking him over.
The master chief walks in with the brand new mark VI, and then sees Nurse Kim.
"Oh hi master chief I- didn't think you come back onboard" feeling very blushed
"how can I help you?", the master chief then said that he was here so that she can run diagnostic on him, she tells him to take his helmet off, and then starts with checking his eyes, she stared at them for a long time, slowly being taken in she starts stroking his cheeks so soft and cold, the master chief wasn't sure what she was doing but didn't give it a second thought, she quickly tore away from his eyes, and then told him to sit down on the bed, he sat down and then, "why don't you ever take your suit off mater chief" the nurse wanted to know, "well Nurse Kim it's ok I have been check by the nurses already, and they gave me the all clear" informed the Master chief, "well they may have checked you up but I still wanted to do that" Nurse Kim sounding a little annoyed. She looked at him and said "Master Chief let me be your girlfriend please?" she pleaded quietly, the Master Chief then said that he couldn't and it was against Spartan code of conduct, he cannot form any sort of emotional or physical relationship, outside of his unit and anyway he said, "anyway this might compromise your ability as a nurse and it will get you into trouble."
The nurse quickly got on his lap facing him, the master chief was somewhat startled by it, he has never been this close to a woman, he wanted to do something but couldn't, and in the end she quickly gave the Master Chief a long kiss on lips, the master chief couldn't quite comprehend what had happened, she then let go her grip of him and said, "we can keep this a secret, no one needs to know master chief I promise you.", she got of him put her hands on his chest, " master chief come back alive ok, I really need to talk to you, you can leave now JOHN." The master chief got up put his helmet on, looked at nurse and all the details about her came up on his HUD, he kept the details of her and went off.
Back at the bridge Captain Khader looked at the camera and saw several other UNSC ships and saw the entire shield lighting up and then turning invisible, he smiled and asked honey what the status of the ship is,
"Well sir the new A-MACS are now fully operational and hot sir, all the SHIVA warheads safety locks removed and the new ARCHERS armed and ready." The captain then asked honey if they were ready to go.
"Sir approaching saturation velocity", she told the captain. "Shaw-Fujikawa Translight generator online, new course available." The captain got up looked at the photo of his wife, "honey make a heading towards earth". And slowly all the UNSC ships made their way towards earth, armed with a renewed hope the captain looked at the plaque that was on the bridge, he smiled at the motto and gave a small gesture to it, he knew should the covenant ever ask for anything, this is what he will say,
Molon Labe or in English, "COME AND GET THEM".
