After Halo
Chapter 1
I was dreaming that night, blood everywhere… men screaming and getting blown to pieces in the process. Shrapnel was flying all over the place, but yet I was left there untouched by the chaos…
"Hey Damen wake up it's time for it's time for breakfast."
Erik opened his eyes and found Damen hovered over his bed telling him it was time for breakfast. Erik was 16 and he was 5'6 and weighed about 115. "Ok man I'm getting up."
"If you don't get changed in 2 minutes Corporal Manes will get pissed off like he does usually," Damen said. Damen held out his hand and helped Erik get out of bed. Damen was 16 also and was 5'8.
"Hey Erik I'm going to go to the mess hall without you if you don't hurry up!" Damen said. Erik walked over and got his pants on, and after he put his plain white shirt with socks and boots on. That was the regular apparel he and his comrades wore when inside the ship, which was particularly warm but outside in space you could freeze. Erik was finished getting his clothes on ran out of their barracks with Erik following. The hall was lined with barracks and with a left turn at the end of the hall was the mess hall. Erik entered with Damen.
"Hold it right there!" It was Corporal Manes who had known they both were 2 minutes late. "Where do you think you two are going to be going? To eat? Oh you both are sadly mistaken. Both of you know the rules, you late, you don't get to eat." Manes walked over to Erik and Damen.
"Sir it was my fault, Damen was--- Manes interrupted him.
"No buts or was both of you are late, now in Room 201."
Room 201 was a place for people that weren't on time to anything; they were sent there and then were marked down for their absence. In which case they didn't get special privileges, like brake time during training and later lights out. A Marine escorted Erik and Damen to Room 201.
"Hello Erik and Damen, now let's see," Sanders was looking up on his COM "Computer Online Manager" network for Erik and Damen's files on misbehavior. "Now I'm going to mark you two off for no breaks during training.
"What that's not fair, Damen had nothing to do with me getting up late!" Erik yelled.
"Well that's not my problem is it?" Sanders exclaimed in a very quite voice. The marine escorted Erik and Damen out of Room 201. Erik and Damen headed to the TEC facility. Which was Training Environmental Combat facility. It was were Marines in training were sent for environmental combat tactics. Erik swiped his card in the door and so did Daren. Both of them entered and their squad consisting of 6 were there. They were squad 385. Neither Erik nor Damen were the tactical leader. Alex she was the sniper, Ran he was the electronics expert. Win, she was medic/assistant electronics expert. Damen was the explosives man, Erik was all around anybody, Youl, and he was the leader. Erik resented Youl because he wanted to be team leader but never got in to do it. Erik wasn't liked by a lot of his squad except Alex and Damen. Erik had a bit of a crush on Alex but never admitted it to himself. Youl always was too demanding of the rest of the team. Win was a kind-of toughie but Erik still found her attractive, she wasn't a tomboy though. Ran wasn't your typical nerd either. He loved to fight with machines and wasn't a wimp.
"Ok everybody let's get to hand to hand combat right away," said their teacher Samyen. "The first bought will be Erik and Youl," Samyen said.
Erik and Youl put on their knife gauntlets which where the whole lower arm part of your suit when you became a marine. Since the last war Marines were now had the same suit as the Spartans did in the last war, so the gauntlets now look they did on the Spartans. Erik and Youl entered the EV changer, the environmental virtual reality trainer. Light consumed them and they were now fighting in a freezing cold tundra arena, with the rest of the squad watching from a screen. Samyen spoke in from a microphone:
"Ok Erik and Youl, you will both be equipped with combat knives which erect from your gauntlets. Start bought in five, four," Erik's mind was racing, I'm going to kick Youl's butt this time," he thought.
"Three, two, one, GO!" Samyen yelled.
Erik and Youl ran at each other with combat knives ready to strike!

After Halo Chapters 2 and 3

Chapter 2
Erik was running straight at Youl as fast as he could with knifepoint at ready. Youl was in the same position but a bit calmer about the situation. Erik swung his gauntlet/knife right at Youl but Youl jumped high into the air and to land right in back of Erik. Youl stuck out his knife and it barely touched Erik's neck.
"Move and I'll drive this right into your neck," Youl said.
"Samyen didn't say how to win right?" Erik asked. He was in total shock about what Youl would do to him next.
"No he-" Erik ducked and kicked his legs up right into Youl's face, Youl flew 15 feet. He got up after about 4 seconds and his nose was broken. Youl took out a syringe from his back pocket and it had some blue liquid inside of it. He injected it into his arm and the pain of his nose brake went away after about 3 seconds. Erik hid but Youl didn't know where. Youl spotted a boulder and cut it in half but Erik was nowhere to be found. Just then Erik came up out of nowhere as if he was hiding in the snow. (Which he was), he swung at Youl but Youl dogged it.
"What the hell?" Erik said. Youl swung around and swung at Erik with his fist but Erik blocked it with his gauntlet. But Erik didn't see the next attack coming. Youl had his gauntlet knife ready and rammed it into Erik's stomach but Erik swung his foot up to get into the way. The knife went right into his foot. "Ahhhhhhh!!!" Erik screamed and jumped backward. Blood was all over the snow that he lay on.
"Samyen never said how you could win did he? This is a test to see our limits even if it means killing the opponent."
Alex yelled from into the Mike, "stop your going to kill Erik!"
Samyen responded, "your point?"
Damen sat there on the other side of this fight without saying anything. He then got up and talked into the Mike.
"Youl do what needs to be done, and Erik stop holding back you can kick this guy's ass." Erik injected the syringe into his leg and got up. While he was limping so he wouldn't break his foot totally, blood was beginning to form in a line from where Erik was walking.
"You expect to take me on with a broken foot? Come on Erik you know better than to— Erik swung his left foot around because his right one was the foot that got injured. He kicked Youl in the on the side of the head and Youl flew in the air to the right of Erik. As if by slow motion Erik ran as fast as he could to where Youl was flying and kicked Youl in the stomach in while Youl was in mid-air. Youl then flew back and landed 20 feet away from Erik. Erik's right foot was totally shattered.
Samyen waited for Youl to get back up again but he didn't. He turned the EV off. Youl was on the ground not able to get up, and Erik sat on the ground screaming holding his foot. Samyen called a medic to pick up Erik and Youl. Win examined Youl and Erik before the medics had arrived. Youl had the wind knocked out of him big time and probably was going to be like that for a couple of hours. Erik on the other had, his right foot was shattered and would need a replacement foot. Which would be made out of the strongest of metals to keep it from breaking again. Four medics arrived with two stretchers and they loaded Erik and Youl onto two separate stretchers. They were carried out of the room.
"Ok everybody just go to the gym and work out for the rest of the period, I'm going to go check on them," Samyen said. He exited and walked down to where sickbay was. He found Youl and Erik side by side on beds and both where sound asleep. Samyen exited sickbay to find Alex right outside the room.
"Are both of them alright?" Alex asked.
"They're going to be fine, you can go pay them a visit if you like," Samyen said. He walked right past Alex and headed down to his office. Alex entered the room glancing at Youl, and then she walked over to Erik's bed. Both of them were had the masks around their mouths like the ones that are put on you before the surgeon operates on you. Alex looked at Erik and pulled up the cover to see how his leg was. It hadn't been operated on yet but there was medical tape around it. Alex then bent over and kissed Erik on the forehead. She left the room. What Alex didn't know was, Erik had his eyes barely open the whole time.
Chapter 3
3:06 P.M.
The operation was over on Erik's leg and the doctors said he could start walking again in about 3 hours, so for now he needed to use a wheelchair to get around. The wheelchair hovered and was controlled remotely. Erik got into his wheelchair with the help of the doctors and went to Youl's bedside. Erik still had his hospital clothes on. Youl was still recovering from the blow that Erik served him. Erik then asked the nurse if she would help put his clothes on for him. Erik thought the nurse was hot; she was about in her twenties with long/straight hair and brown eyes. The nurse was about in her early twenties. She told him to get lost.
"What but you're supposed to help the patient!" Erik demanded. She didn't change her mind so Erik had to get his clothes on himself. During the day the uniform was different. They had to where regular military uniforms. After he got his clothes on he headed down to the mess hall to grab some lunch. Corporal Manes was walking down the hall as well. Manes headed over to Erik.
"I heard what happened, you alright?" Manes asked.
"Um…yeah I guess, but I'll need a metal right foot," Erik said.
"Yeah, us humans haven't yet made artificial bones for people," Manes said. "But I did go over the footage of the battle. Seems like you kicked the crap out of Youl. God I hope that kid alright," Manes said. Erik saluted and went past Manes to the mess hall.
"Oh and one more thing, you can't have lunch either because of this morning's incident," Manes said. Erik was mad and changed his direction to go look for Damen.
Damen was in enemy class, where they learned about different alien species and how they functioned, ext. Damen was almost falling asleep. As long as he learned how to kill the alien, he didn't need a class to teach him about how it functioned. His obvious favorite class was explosives training. After all he was the explosives expert. Erik realized it was easier to find Damen on one of the hallway COM's. He checked to see what class Damen had, it was enemy class. Erik had the same class and went down the hall to get to enemy class. After the halo incident Marines weren't trained just to kill. The Master Chief, who was John, decided to do that because his experiences as a child weren't normal and he wanted kids to have classes as if they were in school. Erik opened the door. Everybody looked forward.
"Hey Erik over here," Damen said. As Erik went to go sit by Damen some of his classmates were telling him of what a good job he did in defeating Youl. Erik sat down and tried not be bored out of his mind. Erik and Damen talked the whole time and Erik wasn't too happy about his decision to go to class after all.

Alex was in lunch with Win and were both talking about regular girl talk.
"I saw what you did in sick bay Alex," Win said.
"What did she do?" Jessica, another Marine in training asked.
"Yeah what'd she do?" asked Liz.
"She kissed Erik on the forehead," Win said. All the girls started laughing.
"Why do you like Erik?" Jessica asked. "He's not even hot, and he's such a dork. Youl is my type of man."
"Actually I wouldn't mind going with Damen, he's kind-of cute," Liz said.
"Guys I just like Erik ok?" Alex said.
"Whatever," Win said. All of them continued talking and eating lunch. Then they all went back to their quarters and showered. Alex's roommate was Win. After both of them got out of the showers they put on their towels and started talking.
"So what do you see in Erik?" Win asked. "He' s total dork."
"Well how can he be a dork when your crush, Youl, tried to kill him?" Alex asked. "If Youl did become your boyfriend, would you even feel safe with him?
"I really don't know but if I were his girlfriend he wouldn't try to kill me, trust me," Win said.
After Halo Chapter 4

Chapter 4
January 14, 2562
12:03 P.M.
Erik had had his operation the day before and was up and walking. Youl had woken up on the 12th during the evening and was doing fine as well. Erik sat propped up reading a book. Dame and everybody else in his quarters were fast asleep. Erik decided to go for a stroll down to Youl's quarters where Ran was as well. Erik got up from his bed and put some boots on. He walked down the hall and went down to the 2nd level of Winter Rock. He found Youl's quarters and entered.
"You know you have a lot of attitude showing your face in here?" Youl sat up propped up against the side of his bed.
"Yeah sure, whatever. I just want to say I'm sorry for what happened during training. I really thought you were going to kill me," Erik said.
"I wasn't if that's what you were thinking, I just felt like confusing you," Youl said. " I wouldn't have actually killed you. Besides I need you in our squad, plus if I killed you then I'd probably been thrown into prison myself. I'm sorry for threatening you."
"My foot is good so you don't have to worry about it," Erik said.
Back at commanding part of Winter Rock General Walks was sitting down on a chair, slap dab in the middle of the room.
The Private saluted, "Sir we have received on radar, unidentified forces headed our way. I think you should come take a look at this." General Walks got up at from his chair and was escorted out of the room and headed to the navigation room. General Walks was 57 and had brown hair and blue eyes. General Walks arrived and was immediately summoned to the radar screen.
"We don't know who it is sir, they're about 10 miles away from us, we don't have much time. Can you give an order sir?" Asked Officer Hanes.
"Try coming into contact with them, and if that fails, expect the worse," General Walks ordered.
"Yes sir," Officer Hanes said, and gave the orders to his men.
12:46 P.M.
Erik was fast asleep in bed when he heard sirens go off. He jumped out of bed and woke Damen up.
"What the hell is going on?" Damen asked.
"The alarms are going off like crazy," Erik said.
"Wait holy-shit, get everybody up!!" Damen said. "It's a code red alarm." Erik and Damen got everybody up out of bed, and just then Corporal Manes ran into pass the hall yelling, "Covenant are here get to your MJOLNIR armor right away! Everyone in the rooms ran for the armory where their armor and weapons were. Erik was running where the rest of the crew was and two grunts popped out of nowhere in front of them, holding plasma pistols. Everybody stopped in their tracks and ran the other way. They shot the pistols and plasma came right at the crowd of teens piercing somebody's head in back of Erik. The other grunt shot his plasma pistol a couple of times, and killed some more of the scared teens. Corporal Manes had his MJOLNIR armor and emerged from the crowd. He had his MD6 pistol at hand. He ran toward the grunts in anger.
"You won't hurt these kids you grunt bastards!" Manes yelled. He shot at the grunt on the right twice in the head but the grunt wasn't dead yet. It seemed like the Covenant had better armor this time. He shot his duel pistols twice again at the grunt and it fell to the ground blood over the wall. The other grunt shot at Manes with his pistol but his energy shield blocked it. Manes shot at the other grunt and was killed. Manes ordered everybody to fallow him to the armory. Two men picked up the plasma pistols the grunts carried for protection. Manes ran down the hall and tried to avoid any battles whatsoever. They finally got to the armory and he rushed everybody in. Erik couldn't see Alex, Youl, Win, or Ran in the armory. It was only Damen and himself. Manes locked the door to the armory.
"What the hell are you doing Manes?" Erik asked. "Get back in here!"
"I'm going to go find everybody else and make sure they're alright. All of you get suited up and ready, these Covenant have evolved from the halo incident. They're smarter, they have sturdier armor and stronger weapons so everybody watch out." A Covenant Elite ran right towards Manes with his energy sword, and Manes fired continuously at the Elite but it was too late. The Elite stuck the sword right through Manes's chest. Blood splattered against the see door in which everybody could see. Erik and was shocked out of his mind but he had to get his armor on. He was getting it on and then his bones began to strain and was scared that the armor would break his bones. Some of his other comrades in the room were dead already because of the sheer force of the armor. Erik got on his helmet and equipped four grenades onto his belt. He then put two MD^ pistols on his sides. He then grabbed a MA5B Assault Rifle with extra magazines for all three of his guns. Erik had trained enough that he could carry it all without a problem. Damen couldn't set off explosives in close quarters, so he grabbed a MA5B Assault Rifle and 8 grenades. Everybody counted down and the Elite crowded the door. A marine opened the door and all them fired their guns and the Elite was mutilated. Erik and Damen decided to stick together and then try to find the rest of their squad. Ethan a marine followed them. Four Jackals were shooting at them from in front with energy rifles. Damen ordered Erik and Ethan to duck for cover. Erik found a pillar to hide behind with Ethan. Damen chucked 4 grenades at the Jackals. Damen dove behind the pillar and was blown back by the impact in a second. The blood of the Jackals was all over the place. Erik ran over to Damen and helped him get up. They ran towards the girls' quarters where Alex and Win might be. They got there and the walls were covered in human blood. Erik and company tried found no bodies that were from Win or Alex. They went into the shower room where they found more blood. Erik ran down the hall and found some female Marines their.
"Alex, Win is that you?" Erik asked though his head set.
"Yeah it's me Alex" said. Alex ran up to Erik and both of them hugged each other.
"I'm sorry to break this up guys but we need to get going," Win said. She had extra med packs and a MD6 pistol with her. Alex grabbed a sniper rifle and a MD6 pistol. She had the MD6 pistol drawn. Damen grabbed his MA5B Assault Rifle out from his back.
"Watch out!" Damen yelled. He shot at four grunts that where behind them armed with Needle Guns. Damen fired vigorously at them and hit one and it's arm was blown off and then his head. Ethan got out his duel pistols and shot another but the third Grunt fired his Needle Gun at him. 12 needles went penetrated his MJOLNIR armor and blood spewed from where he was shot. Erik got out his duel MD6 pistols and killed the remaining grunts. Win ran over to Ethan and crouched down. She took off his helmet where he was his hit five times and his whole face was bloody. Win almost threw up.
"He's dead," Win said. She got back up and the four of them advanced forward to find Youl and Ran.
After Halo Chapter 5

Chapter 5
Part 1
1:45 A.M.
Samyen had his MJOLNIR armor on and had a MA5B Assault Rifle with him. He had just gotten to the command center of the ship where most of the men were dead. He was now on the second floor of the ship looking to see who was still alive. Samyen put his light on. Two grunts and a Jackal popped out of nowhere equipped with Plasma Rifles.
"Oh shit," Samyen yelled, as the Covenant forces fired upon him. He hid behind a wall, and checked his suit for some grenades. He didn't feel anything. "Damn, he muttered. The Covenant kept firing at him and chipping off more of the wall. Samyen turned around the corner and fired his rifle at the coming Jackal. He blew his head off but with only 10 rounds fired. He then decided to go right at them, figuring that his armor would take care of the damage. Samyen waited for the right moment and ran straight at his enemies. He kept firing at them as they were at him. He was shooting at one of the grunts and blew his hand off, so his weapon was inactive. He was shot in the left arm but it didn't get damaged. He ejected his knife from his gauntlet and lunged forward. His knife went right through the grunt's head. Blood seeped on his knife, and right before the rest of them could kill him, he shot them point blank with his rifle. Covenant blood was all over his armor. Right then a Hunter had emerged from one of the sleeping quarters. It had been waiting for him.
Erik and company pushed forward and got to sick bay. Some grunts were in the doorway, so Alex eliminated them right away.
"Ok everybody get as much medical supplies as possible, we might need it in the long run," Win said. Everybody took medical tape, painkillers, and everything that was going to be important when in combat. Damen stepped outside and saw two hunters coming their way.
Damen whispered, "Guys two hunters are coming in our direction, hurry the hell up or hide."
"Ok," Erik responded. Alex looked at the hunters through her sniper rifle.
"Guys they have a lot more armor, we probably won't be able to take them alone. They're almost here." Alex was scared out of her mind and she was sweating all over the place.
"Guys all of you start throwing grenades, Damen's plan is useless, they'll be able to detect or presence and find us," Erik said. "Ok on my count Damen, throw the 4 remaining grenades you have. The rest of you fire at will. Three, two, one, go!" Everybody ran to out of sick bay and fired upon the hunters right when they saw them. Damen threw his four remaining grenades at the hunters. Erik yelled at everyone to get back. A fairly big explosion burst out from the hall, and everybody was thrown back on the other side of the wall. Erik looked back and the hunters were barely walking.
"Damn it! Everybody fire!" Erik yelled. Win was up and fired her duel M6D pistols at the hunters. Erik chucked a grenade and the hunters were eliminated. Blood covered the walls. Erik helped Alex and Damen back up while Win checked to see if anybody was hurt. They went down their hall to the left and were greeted by six grunts, two Jackals, and a Covenant Elite.

Erik fired first as he was shooting at the Elite that was running right towards them with an Energy sword. Win had her duel pistols out shooting at the grunts. Alex fired upon the Jackals with Damen, both holding their MA5B Assault Rifles. Win managed to take out two of the grunts but the other four fired upon them. The grunts were armed with Plasma Rifles and they shot Win multiple times. She went down. Alex was able to kill both the Jackals with the help of Damen.
"I'll help her fire at the damn Elite!" Alex yelled.
Damen did as she said and fired. Alex had run out of the room, carrying Win on her back.
The Elite had stroked at Erik before he could be killed.
"Die human scum!" The Elite roared. Dumped on the Elite and was stabbing it in the head with his knife. The Elite knocked Damen off and he flew ten feet. Erik lay on the floor helpless to the Elite's fury. This is my demise, Erik thought. The Elite picked Erik up by his neck and was about to rip his head off with his other hand when a shot went right through the Elite's head. The blood of the Elite splashed against Erik's visor and he could barely see. The Elite fell to the ground and Erik lay on the floor unable to catch his breath. Youl stood in the back door way with a M6D Pistol steaming off smoke in his right hand.
After Halo Chapter 6 & 7

Chapter 6
2:16 A.M.
Samyen was running all through the second level of the ship with the hunter trailing right behind him. Samyen hadn't gone up to the 1st level because first of all the hunter that never gave up chasing him was constantly chasing him, and second, he didn't want the hunter to kill anybody on the 1st level. He knew he was going to run into a dead end. Samyen found a room to hide in. It was one of the shower rooms. He entered the room and turned on all the showers. He had set them on hot, hoping to burn the hunter. The hunter entered, and Samyen braced himself. The hunter couldn't see Samyen very well amidst all the water. Samyen's plan to burn the hunter didn't succeed but the water bought him some time. He shot at the hunters head several times, and then moved to another side of the shower room. He then got a plasma grenade from out that he had gotten from one of the grunts when he killed it. Samyen put the grenade on his hunter, and rushed out of the room, the hunter blew to pieces. Samyen ran for the stairs to get to the 2nd level but it was blocked by two grunts, he shot both of them. Samyen ran up the stairs but a hunter and two Jackals were guarding it. Samyen chucked all his grenades he had at them, which consisted of 7. They died and blood was all over the stairs and wall. Samyen almost gagged but got to the 1st floor without doing so. He ran to the command center and three Covenant Elite were holding their energy swords looking all over the room, and then they spotted Samyen. He fired his Assault Rifle at them and blew one pf their hands off. He grabbed the energy sword that had fallen to the ground. Samyen blocked a swing from one of the Covenant Elite's swords. He then counter attacked had sent the sword right through it's stomach. The other Elite took a swing but he tilted his head back and dodged it. He then kicked the Elite in the stomach and ejected his knife from his gauntlet. He stuck his knife right through the Elite's chest and killed him. The Elite that was unarmed cam eat Samyen but he pulled his energy sword out and cut the Elite's head off. Samyen had blood all over is armor, and then closed the door to the command center. All of the controls were destroyed except a cluster of them, which kept the lights on the ship. Samyen opened the door back up and he saw Erik, Damen, Youl, Ran, Alex, and injured Win at the other end of the hall.
"Samyen watch out!" Alex yelled. An energy sword went right through Samyen's chest. It was pulled out, an injured Covenant Elite stepped out of the room, with sword ready.
"You bastard!" Erik yelled. The Elite ran at Erik, and he pulled out his duel M6D pistols. He fired multiple times at the head until the Elite died. "You bastard!" Erik knew the Elite was already dead. He ejected his combat knife and slashed at the Elite's body with it. Blood was going everywhere, and he put the M6D to the Elite's head, it blew up. Blood was all over his visor and armor.
"Erik stop, and get up," Damen said in a very calm voice.
"Shut up! Shut up!" Erik yelled. He ran off to find the rest of the Covenant, and kill them.
"Damnit, he's consumed by rage," Youl said. "Everybody come on let's go talk some sense into him before this ship blows." Youl grabbed Samyen's dog tags, and put them in a spare pocket.
"What about Win?" Youl looked at Win on Alex's back. She didn't look she was doing too well. Alex put Win down and laid her on the ground carefully.
"She's still breathing," Alex said. "I did head to her wounds a little, I didn't have a lot of time to take care of her."
"Ok carry her like you were doing before," Youl said. "We need to find Erik, and get the hell off the ship. Everybody followed Youl to where he thought that Erik went. They turned a corner and right before their eyes, Erik stood there with Covenant blood all over his armor, a lot more blood. Ran saw at least 12 Covenant dead on the ground.
"Erik come one we need to get off the ship," Youl said.
"I can't, those Covenant bastards killed my friends, and they're going pay!" Erik said.
"They will, but in order to do that, you need to stay alive," Youl said.
"Come on Erik," Alex said. Erik turned around.
"You promise Youl?" Erik said.
"Yeah," Youl said. Both of them shook hands.
"Ok let's move out!" Youl said. Everybody once again followed. They were all heading towards the escape pods.
"Help!" They heard a scream. Damen ran to where the scream was and two men were cornered by a Covenant Elite. Damen jumped up and before the Elite could realize anything, it was dead with its head cut off. Come on, let's go. Damen ran back to where the rest of his squad was.
"Ok let's go!" Youl said. Everybody crammed in the escape pod. Ran went to the controls.
"I'm going to launching it. Everybody buckled in?" Everybody responded. "In five, four, three, two, one!" The pod launched.

Everybody had unbuckled his or her seatbelts after the launch. "So what are your names?" Damen asked.
"I'm Rob, and this is Chris," Rob said.
"Ok, I'm Damen, that's Erik, Win, Alex, Youl, and Ran," Damen said while pointing to each of them.
"What are our coordinates Ran?" Youl asked.
"They're B-0223 to Sector 56REA," Ran said.
"In English?" Youl asked.
We're headed towards plant Duken," Ran said. "What the hell is that?" Everybody looked.
"It's a halo," Erik said.
"But we destroyed all of them," Alex said.
"Must be new," Ran said.
"Then who the hell made it?" Erik asked.
"I don't know but we might be crashing into that thing," Ran said.
"What about Win?" Alex said. "She's not doing so well, and we need a medic incase we run into anything unwanted."
"She doesn't look like she's going to make it," Rob said.
"How do you know?" Alex asked.
"I took some medic courses," Rob said. "But she doesn't look so great, she has plasma wounds all over her torso and arms. She's lucky she even survived after that." Rob whispered to Alex, "There's not much more I can do for her. Your best bet is to take her out of her misery. It would save her pain. I'm sorry but that's what it will come down to."
"You have to know something else, I mean she has to live!" Alex said. Alex took out her M6D pistol and stuck it put it up to Rob's face. "You help her damnit!"
"Put the gun down Alex, we don't want anymore deaths," Erik said.
"No!" Alex said. She started to cry, and dropped her gun. Erik hugged her.
"It's alright Alex, Rob can't do anything else to help her," Erik said.
"Alex, I don't want to be in this pain any longer, just put me out of my pain now," Win said. Damen picked up the M6D and aimed it at Win. "Do it. She closed her eyes and was shot. Youl stared at Win's dead body.
"God…she loved me…." Youl said. He closed his eyes too.
"Ok we're approaching the halo," Ran said. "Everybody buckle their seatbelts." Everybody did and they even buckled Win's body in too.
"Hang on everyone," Ran said.
Chapter 7
Halo 4
6:37 A.M.
The squad had crashed into the ground near a chain of mountains. The terrain was much like the terrain on Halo 1. It was partly dark out, but you could still see. It was early morning on Halo 4.
"Everybody alright?" Youl asked. He looked around and only saw Win's dead body. Everybody unbuckled their belts and got up. Youl told everybody to keep their guns on them.
"Ok I'm going to open the hatch, if you see anything that doesn't look human, shoot it," Youl said. He opened it and nothing was there. Youl stepped out with M6D pistol armed. He scanned the perimeter of the crash sight but nothing was there. Alex grabbed Win's dead body. All of the teens started to dig a grave for her. They dug at and laid he body in it, then covered it. There were no flowers around, so they put some rocks that they found, on the grave.
"Does anybody have anything to say?" Youl asked. Nobody answered. "Ok then gather the medical equipment and spare ammo from the escape pod. We're going to head toward those mountains."
"Youl just wait a damn second!" Erik yelled.
"What? Nobody has anything so say, we need to head out," Youl said.
"That still doesn't mean everybody's ready," Erik said.
"I really don't care, if something's out there then it will kill us unless we get to higher ground. Damen, Ran, Rob, and Chris followed Youl.
"You really don't care do you Damen?" Erik said. "Seems like you've been on Youl's side this whole time."
Damen didn't say anything.
" So now you're avoiding me? Erik asked. "One of our friends are dead here Damen, don't you care? Don't any of you care?"
"We need to get on with our lives," Damen said. "I care, but what Win would want you and Alex to do is to follow Youl to safety. She's dead no matter what you do but you will always remember her in here." Damen pointed to his heart. "Come on Youl let's move out." They walked away leaving Erik and Alex at Win's grave.
"Let's go Erik, we can't stay here forever," Alex said. She ran off to catch the group.
"We're going to survive Win, we will. But it was your job in order for us to do that," Erik said. "We'll be able to go on and keep living. Damen is such an idiot." Tears came out of his eyes, and then ran to catch up with his squad.
They were walking and were headed up the hill when they heard some noises coming from behind some trees.
"Everybody get down," Youl said quietly. Everybody lay flat on his or her stomachs. Alex got out her sniper rifle and zoomed in on the trees. It was two grunts talking to one another.
"Take a look," Alex whispered. Youl looked into the scope.
"Yep, it's two grunts," Youl said. "Alex take them out."
"Wait we can follow them to where they're hiding," Erik said.
"That's stupid, we'll all die," Youl said. All of them still remained on their stomachs.
"He has a point," Rob said.
"Nobody asked you," Erik said.
"We're taking them out silently, there's no telling what reinforcements they might call for," Youl said. "Take the shot Alex." Alex aimed for the first grunt and pierced its head, and right before the other could react it was already dead.
"Damnit Alex, now they know somebody's here," Erik said.
"Well Youl calls the shots here not me, he's doing what's best for all of us," Alex said. Erik was speechless.
"Ok everybody get back up and let's head up," Youl said.

They were all up into the mountains at least 30 minutes later. It was lighter outside, but everybody was exhausted from the battle on Winter Rock. Chris spotted a cave, so they all decided to stay in there and get some shut-eye.
"Ok I'll be look out," Youl said. "Erik you're going to be at look out with me." Erik was disappointed that he wouldn't get to sleep first.
"Why do I have to?" Erik said. "Chris hasn't done anything since we got here."
"Well I need the best fighter in the squad, and that's you Erik, aside from me," Youl said. "Everybody else make yourselves comfortable and get some sleep. There's a big day ahead of us." Everybody went to sleep.
"Why do you hate me so much?" Youl asked. Erik said nothing.
"Why do you----
"I don't hate you, it's just that I envy you," Erik said. "Every since Samyen said that somebody was going to have to be leader of our squad, my heart just jumped. I was sure I would become leader after working so hard."
"Well you didn't make it, its just tough luck," Youl said. "I'm not trying to be mean, but you're going to have live through your life failing at a goal that you worked so hard to try to accomplish. The same thing goes for me to."
"Whatever," Erik said.
After Halo Chapter 8

Chapter 8
Halo 4, West Mountain Valley
7:02 A.M.
"Youl I got something on radar," Erik said.
"What is it?" Youl asked.
"It looks to me like there are at least ten of these guys on my screen," Erik said. Erik ran over to Alex and woke her up.
"What is it?" Alex asked.
"I have some guys on radar, I want you to check out what they are," Erik said. Alex picked up her sniper rifle and headed over to where Youl was. She looked into her scope and there she saw four Grunts, five Jackals carrying energy shields, and a Hunter. The Jackals were up in the front and the Grunts were taking the sides and back, the Hunter on the other hand was just walking with them.
"There are four Grunts, five Jackals, and a Hunter
"It must be a scouting party," Youl said. "I don't think we'll be able to take them in the condition we're in right now."
"I'll take Alex with me," Erik said. "She'll snipe them."
"No too risky," Youl said.
Erik replied in an annoyed tone, "But they'll find us."
"Not unless we move now," Youl said. "Wake everybody up, we're going now." Erik rushed over to get everybody up.
"What is it?" Damen asked.
"Covenant, four Jackals, five Grunts, and a Hunter, we need to ditch the cave," replied Erik.
"Ok then I'll grab my stuff," Damen said. He grabbed his equipment and got up.
"I'll go make sure everybody's ready, go by Youl," Erik said. Damen walked over by Youl while Erik made sure Chris, Rob, and Ran had all their gear on and were ready to move out.
"Ok everyone we're going to go move to higher ground, let's get a move on," Youl commanded. Everyone followed behind him, in order from front to back. Erik, Chris, Damen, Rob, Ran, and Alex. Alex looked into her scope again.
"Oh shit, the Jackal spotted us," Alex said to the others through her COM channel. The Jackal notified the other and they started a long run up the mountains. Two of the Jackals remained waiting for Ghosts to me transported to their position.
"They're sending in reinforcements," Ran said. He could translate Covenant language to some extent.
"We need to keep going, everybody double time come on!" Youl yelled. Everybody ran behind him while the Covenant forces were getting closer to their position.
"They got their Ghosts," Alex told the others as they ran up the mountain. The Ghosts zoomed up the mountain and pass the other Covenant. The two remaining Jackals were on them.
"Let's go!" Youl yelled. The Ghosts fired upon them and one of them hit Youl in the stomach. He fell to the ground, his shield was all the way down and his armor took the hit.
"Leave me," Youl told them. "Get out of here." Damen picked Youl up.
"We aren't leaving you here to die," Damen said. Everybody kept on running, but the Covenant on foot were getting closer and the Ghosts were barraging them with their plasma weapons.
"I see a cave up ahead," Damen said. "Everybody move get in that cave," he yelled. He dragged Youl in the cave.
"I'm going to get that Ghost, don't worry about me," Erik said.
"No Erik---!" Alex yelled but it was too late, Erik was already running off the mountain. The Ghost sped right toward him, and then he jumped into thin air. He caught the hood of the Ghost and the Jackal tried to get him off. Erik erected his knife from his gauntlet and stuck it in the Jackals head. He quickly knocked the Jackal off and took control of the Ghost. In the meantime the other Ghost was trying to shoot him down. Erik fired his plasma weapons at the other Ghost. The other Ghost swerved and dodged the attack. The other Covenant were almost to where his team was due to their speed.
"Damn," he said to himself. He thought of something. Erik was started to shoot at the Covenant that were advancing up the mountain. The other Ghost went to guard its comrades and got right in front of them.
"See you guys later," Erik said. He ran his Ghost right toward the other Ghost and jumped for a ledge he had seen sticking out of the mountain. The Ghost ran right into the other Ghost and they both blew up, taking the other Covenant with them. Erik landed on the ledge and so the fire works display above him.
"Erik come in," Alex said on her COM link too him.
"I'm here," Erik said. "I'm coming backup.
"Freeze!" a plasma pistol was aimed right at Erik's head, and he could do nothing about it.
After Halo Chapter 9
Date: 27 December 2005, 8:13 pm
Chapter 9
Halo 4, West Mountain Valley
7:30 A.M.
"Freeze!" the scared Marine yelled from behind Erik.
"I'm a Spartan, I'm not going to hurt you," Erik said as he turned around to face the Marine. The Marine was shivering furiously. The Marine was about to fire his plasma pistol when Erik grabbed his arm and broke it. The Marine yelled in pain and fell to the ground holding his broken hand tight. Erik turned around only to see seven more Marines.
"He gets a little nervous sometimes," what looked like to be the Commander said. "I can't believe they sent a Spartan to look for us." Erik broke the Commander's and his squad's hopes.
"I'm not the rescue squad they sent. I don't even know if there is a rescue squad coming." Erik said and put his head down.
"Well we still got a Spartan, so that's good," the Commander joyfully.
"Actually we have four more Spartans and two Marines waiting for me up more on the mountain," Erik said. The Marines were really happy; they got a really good defense, Spartans, even though it wasn't a rescue squad.
"I'm Commander Preston," he said. "Glad to meet you?"
"Erik," he said. "I'm going to get you guys to my crew."
"It would be nice if we could stay ground level," Commander Preston said. "I mean the mountain just goes up, and there's really no point to that. We should get some shelter on the ground so we can move from place to place."
"Erik come in!!!" Alex yelled through her COM link.
"Oh sorry Alex, I'm here." Erik said through his COM link.
"What happened, who's there?" Alex asked nervously through the link.
"I'm fine, come down on my position with everybody" Erik said through his link. Alex went over to tell Youl the situation and all of them showed up about five minutes later because they need rope and such for coming down on the ledge. Alex ran over to Erik as soon as she got down. Erik was practically squeezed to death because Alex hugged him so hard.
"I'm fine Alex," Erik said calmly as he hugged her.
[indent}"Ok everyone, I'll call the shots from here on out," Youl said. "If your Commander has a problem with that, I suggest he speak now!"
"I don't have anything against it," Commander Preston said. "But come on in." There was a hole right in back of them going into the mountain and it came out the other side. "We need to go over there and stay on the ground."
"Then everybody lets move out!" Youl yelled and ordered everybody to the other side of the hole. "Spartans turn your light on now," Youl commanded and everybody did as ordered. The space in the mountain was dark and small. Erik was a little claustrophobic and started to panic a little. Alex held his hand as they walked through the area. They walked across which took all of two minutes.
"Now we need to slowly make our way down," Youl said. "Does your squad have any rope?"
Commander Preston thought, "Actually we do." "Gonzales get the rope out." Gonzales did as commanded, got the rope out and handed it to Youl.
"Everybody down the mountain one at a time," Youl commanded. One of Commander Preston's Marines rappelled down the mountainside first just incase anything was down there. It took the Marine all of about twenty seconds to get down.
The Marine yelled up to them, "All clear sir."
"Ok, thanks Limbreck," Preston said. The rest of the crew rappelled down one at a time.
"This whole area is nothing but woodland," Erik exclaimed. "How the hell are we going to find the Covenant's base?"
"That's not our objective Erik," Youl said. "We need to keep the men we have here safe, and then get the hell off this planet."
"How the hell do you suppose we fight the Covenant?" Erik asked in anger. "We don't," Youl said. "Now lets move out to a safe area." Youl started walking ahead of everybody else, the woodland was quiet and the trees stood still. Erik looked ahead and shots rang out, he saw Youl fall to the ground.
