Campaign Trailer - now a TV ad
A shortened version of the Campaign Trailer Bungie released this week has been seen on TV; it contains an added scene at the end that isn't in the original. Letters linked to a YouTubed version of the ad, along with a great animated gif he made of the extra scene. (As always, skip if you're going campaign-dark.)

IGN Rewind Theater: Battle Begins Trailer
IGN has put together a 'Rewind Theater' feature analyzing the new Reach Campaign trailer; there are a couple of missteps, and you'd get more info from folks who knew a bit more Halo lore, but in general, it's a good recap that might show off bits you missed the first (or tenth) time through. Reach Comparison Shot

The Battle Begins
A one-minute campaign trailer for Halo Reach has been released by Bungie - it does an amazing job of showing off the beauty of the game. A picture is worth a thousand words... and a minute's worth of pictures can be priceless. Go grab a copy at Bungie.net. (If you're looking to avoid EVERY SCRAP of campaign footage before you play, don't watch this. There are no spoilers - but there ARE areas we've never seen before.) Update: It's on YouTube now, too. Update 2: I was wrong; upon closer examination of the video, there IS, at least, one (indirect) story spoiler included. (You have to make some inferences - but it's definitely stuff that folks who want to remain campaign-dark would want to stay away from.)

What's New in Reach, Summarized

Halo CE3

Halo Reach Fan Trailer
ElzarTheBam pointed out a new Reach Fan Trailer from pieisgood123456, on YouTube - nice aggregation of content from a number of different sources to create a 3 and a half minute trailer for Reach! There's an interesting breakdown of the visual effects used to create the 'Birth of a Spartan' trailer for Halo Reach over at fxguide - discussion includes choice of environment, how the external shots were done, what was modeled and what was real, how the medical stuff was handled. More Reach Space Combat from GT

Arby 'n' The Chief, and more
We took yesterday off, to spend the day with family... but there wasn't a huge amount of Halo news anyway. One thing I ran across was a trailer for Arby 'n' The Chief, Season 4 - the first episode isn't actually out yet, but the trailer gives you the idea that it will be using Reach. Firefight 2.0
Man... you answer the phone, and the time just slips away. We knew the Firefight trailer was coming at 6 am PDT... but unfortunately, I wasn't around to point it out when it went live. Firefight Trailer
TDSpiral found a Firefight trailer at GameVideos - it's recorded off the screen... but it'll still get your blood pumping. I'm guessing we'll see a high-res version of this one in the not-too-distant future... like maybe today. Reach Footage in Controller Montage
If you live in Great Britain (or possibly all of Europe), you have access to a video called 'Controller Montage Trailer' on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. According to 2900d4u,
[It] shows a few seconds of reach footage at the end of the video. Grunts dropping out of a phantom, a brute chieftain and a new futuristic city level can be seen.
