September 7, 2011 Link to this post What a Night!
Pierre Tartaix sent word that TGO GMBH has released What a Night! - a Halo 3-based machinima that goes for the 50's Film Noir vibe. Things get a little... odd near the end. Interesting piece of work! (Louis Wu 14:18:53 UTC)
September 4, 2011 Link to this post Real Men of Halo (and a bonus) One thing that's really cool about live performances from favorite artists is that fans sometimes jump right on the new content. Daemon Productions (the folks behind the recent Legends: Cielo Negro machinima series) grabbed the Pete Stacker/Tim Dadabo "Real Men of Halo" performance from the Halo Universe panel (if you haven't seen it, jump to 48:30 in this video), and added Reach footage - the result is pretty enjoyable! (And while you're checking out fan/voice-actor blends, Podtacular's Dust Storm pointed out conpett's Halo Corpseman, which was created a couple of years ago, but which used one of the outtakes Marty played at that same panel and added funny footage to it.)

September 2, 2011 Link to this post Movie Movie Movie INTERVIEW
Lots of cool vids are available over at Halo Waypoint. First up - Assault on Squad 45, Part 3 went up a few days ago. This amazing stop-motion Mega Bloks-based series has been fun from the start, and this episode is the best yet. I want more toys! (The Hunter doing a Nixon impression is priceless.) When you're done with that one, check out the Halo Fest Machinima finalists - and the overall winner (HBO's own Bryan Newman!). Finally, a new Grifball Highlight vid from GrifballHub is live - these guys are amazing. If movies aren't your thing, Waypoint's STILL got you covered - The Halo Book Club just published a Q&A with Tobias Buckell, who wrote both the novel Halo: The Cole Protocol and the Halo short story Dirt. Great read! Go spend some time over there. (Louis Wu 14:23:04 UTC)

August 9, 2011 Link to this post Video Cornucopia from FulRoro
FulRoro stopped in yesterday with a whole passel of videos - some are longer, some are shorter, try the ones that appeal!
- Loco Roco is 3 minutes of surreal action with an appropriate soundtrack. Several moments made me laugh out loud.
- 3,2,1... or not is a failure that might make you smile.
- Run run ru... SPLAT! is pretty much exactly what it sounds like.
- La mort vient des hommes is a Halo 3 machinima with no dialogue - I'm not sure I understood it at all, but some of the camera angles are great.
Go watch!

Paul Shelley let us know that the Halo Legacy project is off an running - in fact, since we last mentioned it, in early May, two full series have been released. The idea behind this project is to use multiple directors to create "create serious halo story based machinima content along the lines of the animated Halo: Legends series." (Paul's words.) Halo: Legacy Angerona has a Trailer, plus a three-part main body (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3). Likewise, Halo: Legacy Quinn has a Trailer, plus three parts (Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3). Go watch!
