Sarkathlon 3 - Winners Announced
G4TV's X-Play announced winners of the Sarkathlon 3 obstacle course (we mentioned it a couple of weeks ago) - congrats to both contestants, who'll pull in Recon armor, on top of the 1st place finisher's new Xbox 360. Monday Comic Roundup
A quick summary of the comics we've heard about since the last update:
- Bloogyo stopped by Friday with word of Rat's Nest Episodes 12 4 and 12 5. Since then, he's posted three NEW strips.
- anthraxgoon also stopped in on Friday to announce the first new comic in 2 weeks. It's a double issue of X36, Chapter 2 - covers 13 and 14.
- The Catfish let urk know that Chaos Theory continues, even while its creator's internet connection is down; The Chaos Theory Collab is an episode created by The Catfish and Holy Junkie.
- TTL Demag0gue dropped in this morning with word of Reclaimer 184 - Indigenous Adjuvant wants to know what Viper thought they were doing.

Friday Comic Roundup
A summary of the Halo comics that have been released since Wednesday:
- The Catfish posted 2501 - Episode 47 ('The Other Side'), and told urk about it
- The Guest articles at ReclaimerComic.com continue - Yesterday saw a strip from stealth (thanks, TBB), and today has a new one from xSoB a Dooby. I hope TTL Demag0gue doesn't feel obligated to expand Reclaimer canon to incorporate these fully... things might get confusing!
- Elnea continues building suspense in the latest Halo Action Figure Theater storyline - Episode 174 ('M.I.A.') brings a year-old prophecy back around, and makes me wonder just how much of this stuff she's got mapped out ahead of time...
- Adam Susskind wrote a book over at Bungie.net, explaining how Chaos Theory Episode 21 ('No Smoking Bullets') is live, and how the series as a whole is coming to a close.
- Bloogyo stopped in to announce Rat's Nest Episode 11 6, and some upcoming improvements to the site.

Halo Chronicles - remember that one?
Jimmy Jangles sent word that (as most of us had surmised, but didn't know for sure) the 'Halo Chronicles' project from Peter Jackson, announced at X06 (almost three years ago!) is 'on hold', according to Weta Studios. Till when? Well... probably until the Halo movie comes out. (Or doesn't.)

Wednesday Comic Update
Bunch of comic links for you today:
- Hawty McBloggy noticed that a recent episode of Copper (A Bolt City comic) follows some rules she laid down last year...
- Dennis Powers let us know that Shipwrecked Episode 64 - Admiration is live - and the Search and Rescue team is learning to admire our lost marines.
- The Catfish sent news to Bungie's Blog that 2501 - Episode 43 is online.
- Adam Susskind stopped into our forum to announce that Chaos Theory Episode 20: A Kiss of Lead can be found on his website. It's a long 'un.
- Bloogyo told us that Rat's Nest Episode 10 4 is up - and that tools are important.
- TTL Demag0gue dropped in with word of Reclaimer 180 - Projectiles. Seems Reclaimer is better at interpreting Portent's intentions than his brothers...

Elite GotY Bundle finally official
It's been rumored for some time, but it looks like it's finally been announced - Microsoft is offering a 'Game of the Year' edition of its Xbox 360 Elite console. You get the console, plus Halo 3 and Fable II, all for $399. Not a bad deal! (Louis Wu 13:28:25 UTC)

- TTL Demag0gue announced the posting of Reclaimer 179 - Ripple in the Stream - and it looks like Ferial is playing a different game than everyone else.

Subject: Multi-Mythic... Conquered
Daniel 'Tyrant' Morris sent word that a new challenge has been beaten - earlier this month, he announced an attempt to beat Halo 3 in co-op Mythic difficulty, no deaths by any player. (Standard Halo 3 co-op, even with the Iron Skull on, will not make you start the level over again if someone dies - you only have to go back to the last checkpoint. So these guys have upped the difficulty past this; if they die, THEY start over.) They've posted films of all ten Campaign levels - visit the Bungie.net thread for links and discussion! Congrats, guys.

- The Catfish let Bungie.net know that 2501 Episode 41 is live - they're searching for someone special.
- anthraxgoon stopped in with word of X36 Chapter 2 Issue 11.
- Bloogyo announced the end of Episode 9 with the release of Rat's Nest Episode 9 6 - it's full of trash.
- TTL Demag0gue let us know about Reclaimer 178 - Unrest and Apostate. We're learning new names for stuff we already knew about.
- Elnea's posted Halo Action Figure Theater 170 - Now It's A Party. (And geez... it is.)

Yay! It's Wednesday, so there are a bunch of Halo Comics to tell you about!
- Fried Cookie789 told urk about 2501 Episode 37 - Not Much Luck.
- Dennis Powers sent word of Shipwrecked Episode 62 - A Drive in the Park (I'd have shot it).
- Elnea posted Halo Action Figure Theater 168 - Jinx. I'm not sure what's going on any more.
- Adam Susskind stopped in with word of Chaos Theory Ep. 18: Mysteries Exposed - and the longest monologue since Shakespearean times.
- Bloogyo reminded us that he's looking for jokes for upcoming Rat's Nest episodes - and also announced Episode 8 5.
- Hawty McBloggy sent word of ODS Steve 21: Rock, Paper, Needler. Hope that map's not made of paper.

Halo Talk at Emerald City CC
There was a Halo panel at the Emerald City Comic Convention yesterday... and Jake, from 8BitJoystick, was there to cover it. Swing by his blog to read all the details. Some of the news was announced earlier (for example, that Greg Bear is writing three new Halo novels focused on the Forerunner) but some is new, or clarified - Frank was pretty clear that the story of John and Cortana is NOT finished, something that's been hinted at before but not nailed down.
