And To Dust We Shall Return
Siliconmaster stopped by to give us an update of sorts on a machinima project he used to head up, called "Dust to Dust". We featured the trailer here way back in 2007. Unfortunately, the project never came to fruition, but Siliconmaster recently ran across some footage and demos of the movie, and decided to create a short compilation reel of what he found. The result is a very cool 5 minutes worth of creative talent and obviously hard work. Some of the scenes are REALLY cool. Go and check it out! (GrimBrother One 15:23:07 UTC)

HBO Movie Madness
I woke up this morning to a whole passel of videos announced on our forum - they were ALL good, so watch the lot!
- Blinding announced Firelight Studios' newest short, 'Welcome to New Mombasa'. Filmed in ODST, it's a tribute to Helljumpers everywhere.
- AlphaGamma told us about the first episode of Frostbite, by Blood Chain Productions. Interesting premise, fine cinematography; this one shows promise!
- CrazedOne1988 was discussing his recently-released Spartan Support Unit 254, a machinima based on a conversation first published at Dorkly.com. Definitely has a few smile triggers.

Super Space Gordon and the Robot Ninjas
Pierre Tartaix sent word of Super Space Gordon and the Robot-Ninjas, a pretty awesome Halo 3-based machinima created by TGO GMBH. Fantastic combination of in-game footage and special effects... and an entertaining story, to boot. This was created for a contest on Virtualflicks.net... good luck to the crew! CC Roundup, Monday Edition

Fort Team Charlie series trailer
If you've been around for a while, the name 'Fire Team Charlie' might mean something to you. (If it doesn't... you missed a great time in Halo history.) BennyFortman stopped by last night to announce that they're back - with a trailer for Fort Team Charlie, a Halo/Team Fortress 2 hybrid machinima. The trailer rocks! Go watch it.

Infecdead Type A
Back in mid-January, we'd mentioned a teaser for an upcoming zombie machinima from cellzx - he's released the first episode now. Cinematography, use of existing and new assets, and overall production is amazingly good. (Voice acting could use a little work, but he knows that.) This series has real potential. Two Vids Worth Watching
bs angel sent along a couple of great vids you might want to watch - the latest episode of Halo: Reach Mythbusters is up, from defendthehouse... and Singularity, first part of a planned four-part machinima, is up from EvilChickenLord. Mythbusters is, as always, chock-full of useful and fun bits of Reach trivia. Singularity is really well-filmed, and dialogue-free. (Action is at a minimum - this one has atmosphere, not explosions.) Go watch 'em both! (If you have trouble with Silverlight, as many of us do, the actual YouTube urls are here and here, respectively.)

Decisions

Waypoint - Chock-full of Halo Goodness
Totally spaced on the Weekly Wrap-up at Halo Waypoint - there are a few things you may not have seen:
- The Weekend Webcomic is a new episode of Master Chief's Pets, a series started last year by warrioronlydude.
- There's a new episode of Halo Reach: Headshot, covering Breakpoint.
- Death McGunz took Jonathan Coulton's "Re: Your Brains" and added Halo footage to it. (Plus a bit more.)
- Sometimes, crates are evil.
- 8-Bit Brigade hosted a holiday fundraiser for Child's Play, and there was plenty of Halo schwag for the taking. (This ended yesterday, unfortunately. Sorry.)
There are also plenty of screenshots worth seeing. And there are some exclusive bits you might have missed:
- MEGA Bloks' Assault on Squad 45 is now up - both Part 1 (which we mentioned last week) and Part 2 (which is exclusive to Waypoint) - amazing stop-motion stuff!
- The Return, a story from Halo: Evolutions, was turned into an animated comic on Xbox LIVE back this spring, and makes its web debut now. It's 20 minutes long, the art is spectacular, and if you missed it on LIVE, here's your chance to see it.
- The latest OutREACH segment is an interview with XerxdeeJ, the leader of Tied the Leader. Great discussion about how a little bit of planning can make your Halo experience much more positive!
