Showing results 176 - 200 of 4258 matches February 11, 2015 Link to this post Incoming Leviathan was commissioned to create some Halo-based artwork for Blackt1g3r, using the Spartans he and his wife used in Reach. Blackt1g3r had the piece printed on metal - and it's pretty gorgeous! (You can see his attempts to photograph it - semi-successful, because of the material - and the digital artwork he started with, from Levi, over at DBO.) Now I want one of those! January 17, 2015 Link to this post Free month of LIVE for early MCC users Did you log in to play the Master Chief Collection during its first month after launch? If so, you should receive a free month of Xbox LIVE Gold as part of your apology compensation for the early problems the game had. The messages announcing this started arriving today - log in to see yours! Thanks to Schedonnardus for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 00:24:02 UTC)
January 15, 2015 Link to this post I think we're just getting started. Are you a lore junkie who couldn't wait to read the latest installment of 'Canon Fodder' in the (old) Halo Bulletin? Are you sad that the feature disappeared when the Bulletin converted to a video format? Be sad no longer! According to GrimBrother One, over at Halo Waypoint, Canon Fodder is being spun off into its own blog! Swing by to read the plans, and see some new Universe entries. Oh, happy day! (Louis Wu 23:04:55 UTC)
January 6, 2015 Link to this post Cheesecake... or maybe Gun cake Hmm... Impact Props has fired up a Kickstarter project that's already fully funded (and then some)... are you interested in a 2015 Car Calendar featuring Master Chief? Go jump on board! (Thanks to gamerguy2002 for this one, too.)

December 31, 2014 Link to this post Goodbye to 2014 - See You Next Year! We're definitely ending this year on a slower note than we started it - not from a Halo news standpoint, but from a Halo news coverage standpoint. And for this, I'm really sorry. Fingers are crossed that time will become easier to find in the new year! In the meantime, enjoy the Halo 5 Beta, going on now, and from the crew here at HBO, best wishes for a fantastic 2015! December 15, 2014 Link to this post Drinking Games Ep 5 - Screen Watchers Once upon a time, we let you know about a group called TeamSexy (most of the posts were in 2003 and 2004, though there've been a few references to SexyJosh in the following five years) - they liked Halo, a lot. Recently, they've been hosting a series called Drinking Games, and in honor of the release of The Master Chief Collection, they devoted an episode to Halo. I found it pretty entertaining. Check it out!

December 6, 2014 Link to this post This would have been my favorite thing ever. Real life is totally in the way right now, but there were a few gems on our forum worth sharing. Let's get started with Gamecheat13, who found a way to enable Moah-riding in Halo Reach - this was built in for a Joust-like minigame which was cut before release. Wonderful! Thanks, gamerguy2002. (Louis Wu 16:18:56 UTC)
December 1, 2014 Link to this post On the other side of the invisible barrier General Vagueness stopped by with a new project - 'Breaking out of Halo 4'. He's got fileshare downloads available of all the Multiplayer maps (from the 360 version, not the MCC version of Halo 4) that you can grab and play around with. (There are a few screenshots to show you what you're in for - pretty slick!) Go play.

December 1, 2014 Link to this post How big is that thing, anyway? Stephen Loftus was messing around with 3ds Max and decided to put the interior portions of the Forward Unto Dawn (the game spaces we play in at the start of Halo 4) into a model of the ship, to see how big it actually needed to be to fit what we saw in-game. The results are... surprising. Go see! (Louis Wu 23:26:54 UTC)
November 7, 2014 Link to this post The last written Bulletin The latest Halo Bulletin went live last night on Waypoint - it's really worth reading. There's a breakdown of the Skulls available in the package (and how they affect scoring and Achievements), there's a description of the LASO playlists, and there's a summary of the ranking system in the Collection. Additionally, there a recap of the upcoming Halo Championship Series, a new installment of Canon Fodder (we love you, Grim!), and a note about how the Bulletin, in its current form, is disappearing. (It's moving to the Halo Channel, starting next week, and will be in video format from there on out.) Because of this change, the local copy of this week's Bulletin will be the last we archive in our Halo Bulletin Archive. (Sad days!) Go read - and enjoy the end of an era! (Louis Wu 21:44:27 UTC)
November 6, 2014 Link to this post Halo Championship Series Earlier today, Bravo announced the 'Halo Championship Series', which is 343i's plan to help get Halo back into the competitive and eSports scene. 343i is teaming up with ESL and Twitch to help host online and LAN tournaments that run under a unified placing system. The first Season of HCS starts shortly after the launch of The Master Chief Collection. Go read! (colindosaj 00:33:35 UTC)
November 1, 2014 Link to this post Old egg, new yolk So we all know 343 updated Halo 2 for the H2A release... did you know they updated at least some of the easter eggs, too? Metalingus627 pointed out a screenshot that shows that a cutscene-based egg has been brought forward appropriately. (Louis Wu 18:11:50 UTC)
October 31, 2014 Link to this post Remaking the Legend - Watch Now! As mentioned in the Bulletin, 'Remaking the Legend - Halo 2: Anniversary' is live now. You can watch it on Xbox Video on your Xbox One or 360 (search for 'Halo', or just click on the tile on the main screen), or on the web (thanks, Grizzlei and laird). It's a fantastic look at both the cultural phenomenon that was Halo 2, and the labor of love that updated this title for today's audience. Don't miss this. (It's free, so there's no excuse.) (Louis Wu 21:36:10 UTC)
October 31, 2014 Link to this post Getting closer and closer to MCC The Halo Bulletin that went live last night has some fun reading in it - unlockables and backgrounds in the Master Chief Collection, a reminder of the release of Remaking the Legend, the Halo 2 Anniversary documentary, rosters from the Launch Invitational taking place next weekend, more pies in the face, aids for your last-minute entry into our 343 Guilt O' Lantern contest (DO IT), and some cool screenshots. Go read! (As always, it's available in our Halo Bulletin Archive, as well.)

October 31, 2014 Link to this post Armor Unlocks for Halo 5 - in MCC IGN has the lowdown on some Halo 5: Guardians armor that will unlock in the Beta with gameplay from the Master Chief Collection. (To get all four unlocks, you'll need to beat all four games on Legendary, and watch all five segments of Nightfall... all before the Beta starts in December.) Thanks, munky-058. (Louis Wu 21:25:20 UTC)
October 31, 2014 Link to this post L-058: A Halo Fan Film Cool - laird noticed a new Kickstarter for a Halo fan film... they're looking for a little over $20,000, and they've got about four weeks to collect it. Watch the trailer, read the details, and if you've got the scratch, jump on board! (Louis Wu 21:13:41 UTC)
October 29, 2014 Link to this post Halo Wars Uncaged kornman00 grabbed some pretty cool Halo Wars screenshots for someone, but the project never went anywhere. Their loss is your gain - go check these out! (He calls them 'Halo Wars Uncaged', because he's removed a number of limits that blocked this sort of shot before.) Enjoy 'em! (Louis Wu 21:55:39 UTC)
October 23, 2014 Link to this post The Elite Eight The newest Halo Bulletin, published last night, discusses the MCC Launch Invitational (a pro tournament taking place in LA just before launch), reminds you to watch the Nightfall trailer (and lets you do so right from the page), previews Halo: Escalation #11, continues the new tradition of Canon Fodder, whereby Grim tells us all about the Halo storyline, and shows off screenshots of Exile. Whew! You can read it on Halo Waypoint, or you can read it in our Halo Bulletin Archive. Thanks to Grizzlei for the heads-up this week. (Louis Wu 22:43:23 UTC)
October 17, 2014 Link to this post This week in Halo This week's Halo Bulletin, released yesterday, contains some fun stuff: controller settings for The Master Chief Collection, an update for Halo 4 matchmaking, an update on our own Guilt o' Lantern contest (have you submitted your carving yet? WHY NOT?) and more story goodies from GrimBrother One. (And some nice screenshots.) Go read it - either at the newly revamped Halo Waypoint, or right here in our own Halo Bulletin Archive. (Apologies for the formatting - it'll get better over time.) (Louis Wu 22:27:35 UTC)
October 12, 2014 Link to this post Eye Candy while you wait Halo Waypoint has updated their media library for the Master Chief Collection - lots of new screens! Gorgeous stuff in there - I'm loving that tree on Warlord! (Louis Wu 20:57:12 UTC)
October 9, 2014 Link to this post A pun, on the forum? Oh, yeah, Grim's back. GrimBrother One returned to our forum to announce the latest Halo Bulletin - good to see him around! It contains info about next week's reboot of Halo Waypoint, pics of the upcoming Halo-themed ASTRO A50s, details about the Halo-related content available at New York Comic-Con this week, and the continuation of his very own series - "Canon Fodder". This in-depth look at events in the Halo universe is a fantastic resource, both for newcomers to the extended universe and for folks already immersed - there's so much out there it's easy to forget details. (We're also making one small deviation from the original Bulletin in our local version, for the first time: it seems that the screenshots are no longer presented in both full and thumbnail versions in the Bulletin, you have to follow the Fileshare link and download if you want the big version now. For the time being, we're going to continue supplying both, to save you a bunch of extra clicking.) (Louis Wu 16:12:43 UTC)
October 6, 2014 Link to this post A noble Bloodline Wondering what the Blood Gulch remake is going to look like? A screenshot has made its way out into the interwebs... and Joe Duplessie (SNIPE 316) has embedded it in our forum for your viewing pleasure. So go pleasure yourself. (Louis Wu 21:01:52 UTC)
October 3, 2014 Link to this post It's fall in Halo-land This week's Halo Bulletin contains some nice tidbits: there's a Twitter giveaway, some great story background from (what used to be our own) GrimBrother One, a small FAQ focused on the copy of Halo CE that will appear in the Master Chief Collection next month, and some cool Autumn-themed screenshots. Go read! (As always, there's a copy in our Halo Bulletin Archive. Ours even has large versions of the screenshots.) On our forum, Grizzlei had some comments about this week's content - join the conversation! (Louis Wu 22:56:45 UTC)
