June 23, 2004 Link to this post Trautmann is moving on Eric Trautmann has updated his blog with the information that he won't be involved in any future Halo projects for Microsoft. As he says, "...it feels reaaaaaally weird to know that things like hypothetical novels or comics or whatnot will happen on someone else's watch." Trautmann has been a guiding force on Halo novels and the like from the beginning; for the fans, too, there will be a shift. We'll miss you, Eric! (Thanks to Narcogen, at Rampancy.net, for finding this.) (Louis Wu 09:02:56 UTC)
June 18, 2004 Link to this post Halo Babies Update Bunch of new stuff over at Halo Babies - it IS Friday, after all. There's a new strip, of course (pretty funny, I'd say), a bunch of new artwork, and, in an attempt to clean up their comments section, some pretty stiff rules about abuse. (Given the abuse our Fanfic comments section sees, I can sympathize completely.) Go check it all out! (Louis Wu 12:16:46 UTC)

June 14, 2004 Link to this post Behind the Mask Well, nobody found the Chief and Sarge after that nasty explosion on Friday... but I guess they're like the cat, they just couldn't stay away. MC, at least, is back in today's One One Se7en, and he's met up with a new friend (the Xbox Gamer magazine scans that this guy came from will be posted in a couple of weeks, when that issue is off the shelves). And that wraps up our Comic trilogy for the day. I hope. (Louis Wu 09:23:12 UTC)

May 20, 2004 Link to this post Halo, How Are You? Halo 2 was the subject of today's Dork Tower cartoon at Gamespy. IRC consensus is that it's not funny. What do they know? Make up your own mind. Thanks, Brad. (Louis Wu 16:36:36 UTC)

May 16, 2004 Link to this post Comics... a little late Okay... I'm not home yet (Still in LA for another 24 hours), but I'm finally getting a few minutes on a computer; time to say a HUGE thank you to 3of9 for his amazing coverage as all the rest of us abandoned the site for E3. I'll try to post a few things over the next few hours - I thought I'd start with Friday's comics, which I neglected to post (or let 3 know how to post). Halo: Resolution introduces a new character... and One One Se7en does too. (Different characters.) Go check 'em out! (Louis Wu 03:42:25 UTC)
May 13, 2004 Link to this post His family is perfectly safe. There is a great interview with One One Se7en's creator, Stuntmutt, over at Battleground: Halo. Get to know one of the funniest comic authors better... or you could read Stuntmutt's interview instead. (3of9 13:14:37 UTC)

May 7, 2004 Link to this post Worst. Line. Ever. And rounding out the day's comics, Tina Leyk takes a shot at what is probably Cortana's stupidest piece of dialogue in the entire game, in a new Fur-Lo comic. (If it's hard to find on the page, here's a direct link, maybe it'll get me to finish coding the search stuff.) (Louis Wu 10:49:17 UTC)

May 1, 2004 Link to this post Halo: Ice Fields, re-release Hawk Entertainment has released new versions of Ice Fields: Episode One Part 1. (This was originally released a week ago - but some folks had trouble with the DivX version, Hawk had trouble with bandwidth, and the movie itself was smaller than they wanted. You now have three new options: A 640x480, 40 mb DivX version (hosted by evilburger.net), a 480x360, 35.8 mb QuickTime version (hosted by us), or a 320x240, 21.4 mb Quicktime version (also hosted by us). The old options are still there. Hopefully, there is now something for everyone! (Louis Wu 11:52:36 UTC)

April 23, 2004 Link to this post Old art and new at Halobabies Halo Babies has a couple of new items - there's another strip, of course, since it's Friday, and it's a direct tribute to Red vs Blue, but there's also a very cool desktop in a few sizes. (This has been in our artwork queue for a while now; apologies to Gruntsbane for taking so long to get it out. I'm glad there's another venue for its posting - it deserves to be seen.) Absolutely worth a look. (Louis Wu 14:52:03 UTC)

April 16, 2004 Link to this post The Bungie.net Update Parade Continues Once again, being out all day during the inaugural week of the new Bungie.net's unveiling means a bunch of news went unreported. Let's see... there's a new outtake from David Scully, voice of Sargeant Johnson, and man, it's just a little bit out there. Okay, a LOT out there. (Absolutely worth the 1.2 mb download.) There's a brand new batch of Letters to the Webmaster (lengthy, but missing the usual bite; he must be out of Jack Daniels again), and finally, there's a new Bungie Comic... except the link doesn't work and you can't see it. (I'm sure that'll be changed very soon, so if it works, you don't need to write to us.) Update: The comic works now. Of course. (Louis Wu 00:05:31 UTC)
