Luke McKay Update

Exclusive Elite for Comic-Con visitors
There's a bit of totally non-Halo-3-related news, as well, today - for example, Toynews International reports on an upcoming exclusive action figure - a Halo 2 White Multiplayer Elite; only 3000 will be made. You can only buy this, though, if you show up at the San Diego Comic-Con in July (though if there are any left after the show, Toyrocket.com will be selling them on their website.) The Halo-Related Art of Luke McKay
Well, I haven't gotten EXPLICIT approval, but he's linked to it from his Red vs Blue profile... so I guess he's okay with it. If you visit Red vs Blue for anything other than the videos themselves (that is - if you avail yourself of the community tools provided by the website), you've almost certainly run across Luke McKay, a regular there who creates a lot of very cool avatars and images for people. I asked him about the possiblity of consolidating his Halo-related work in one place... and he said sure... so swing by his gallery page here at HBO, and check out some of his work! Del Toro - in? Or out?
Saturday morning, Tempus Fugit pointed out a news item at Ain't It Cool News, in which Mike Mignola (the artist behind the Hellboy comics) suggested that Guillermo Del Toro was never really considering the Halo movie project, and that Hellboy 2 was next on his plate after all. This is not confirmation that Del Toro has taken himself out of the running for the position of Director - in fact, if you wanna get technical, he's never actually been confirmed (by Microsoft, Bungie, Universal, or Peter Jackson - the only entities/groups officially involved at this point) as being IN the running... but Mike M. seems like someone who might know some stuff. Warthog in Concerned
On Wednesday, we got a note from Pak about the inclusion of a Halo Warthog in this episode of Concerned (a Half-Life 2 webcomic). It seemed pretty trivial to me, and I was busy... so I passed on mentioning it. This morning, however, we got email from RedRaptor, who explained the significance I missed - it shows that there's a downloadable Warthog for Half-Life 2.
