Definitely some Bungie fans at Rockstar.
Cody Miller watched the GTA V gameplay teaser released recently... and was reminded of some SERIOUSLY old-school Bungie baddies. (RotaJota added his two cents, too.) If you don't feel like watching the video, here are screengrabs of the two moments in question (Cody | RotaJota). Nice! (Louis Wu 17:58:11 UTC)

So, Halo 3 is a pretty cool game (part 2)
Catching up on stuff from the week that we've let slide... let's start with a second installment of uberfoop's "So, Halo 3 is a pretty cool game" reminiscence. Swing by for great pics, great vids - it makes me want to dig out the disc and jump back in! (Louis Wu 17:43:58 UTC)

Halo Bulletin: 07.10.13
The Halo Waypoint Bulletin went live last night - cool info about RTX, the Halo 4 Global Championship, details about the upcoming Champions Bundle, stuff to look out for at San Diego Comic Con in a week or so, and some very cool Mark VI Spartan Armor-themed screenshots. Go look! (As always, it's up in our Halo Bulletin Archive, too.) (Louis Wu 20:25:02 UTC)

Better Late than Never: June's Last Halo Bulletin
The Halo Bulletin was a little late this week (it actually came out today, rather than yesterday) - but check it out to catch up on Halo: Spartan Assault (there's a nice Q&A), details about the Matchmaking Playlist Update coming on Monday, and some awesome Mantis screenshots. As always, if you'd rather a lighter version (both in color and in bandwidth), there's a copy in our Halo Bulletin Archive. Go read! (Louis Wu 20:25:14 UTC)

Grifball at RTX - It's so there, baby
Kal reminded us of all the Grifball coolness you'll be able to experience at RTX in less than two weeks - GrifballHub will be running a community-paid-for booth (yay Kickstarter!) with LAN Grifball stations, along with a Grifball panel and two tournaments on the RTX Center Stage. They've got over 5,000 (yes, you read that right) pieces of shwag to give away during the 3-day event. Go read all the details at GrifballHub.com! (Louis Wu 18:13:10 UTC)

Fusion
Crunch came by with a link to Fusion - a Blend of Jumping and Killing, as he puts it. Whatever you call it, it's a pretty cool vid - starts slow, but by the end, it's giving me all sorts of jumps I want to try (along the end result when you totally surprise an opponent by making one). Go watch! (Louis Wu 17:53:16 UTC)

HB 619: In Which Bravo Trashtalks BS Angel (Again)
After a one-week hiatus (the community team were all pretty busy at E3 last week), the Halo Bulletin is back, and full of fun stuff. There's some news about an upcoming tournament with half a million dollars in prizes (!!), a summary of the goodness that was E3, some matchmaking update details (both this week and next), and a screenshot spotlight on one of the most underappreciated characters in the Halo game series. As always, you can read it on Halo Waypoint or in our Halo Bulletin Archive. But read it! (Louis Wu 18:18:44 UTC)

B is for Butthead
The new Halo Bulletin is online now - and has been since last night. (Thanks, MacGyver10.) The main focus is Halo: Spartan Assault (new screens, new desktops, a bit of history in how it came about), but there's also quite a bit of info about the Matchmaking playlist updates... and some internal trash-talking. And some very blue screenshots. As always, you're welcome to read it locally, for a lighter experience, in our Halo Bulletin Archive. (Louis Wu 20:15:04 UTC)

Grain of Salt Not Included
Kotaku ran an op-ed piece this morning regarding one man's experience with contract work for a game developer, specifically with Certain Affinity on Halo 4. It's certainly a mixed bag of impressions that may leave you either a touch flustered or perhaps just scratching your head. One can never be completely sure when reading only one side of the story, but it's an interesting read nonetheless, just take it with the appropriate seasoning. If you'd like to discuss it on our forum, gamerguy2002 started a thread you can join. (GrimBrother One 23:55:00 UTC)

Video Design Tips by Rockslider
Rockslider has put together a guide to help you create videos - it doesn't contain information about the hardware you'll need, and it doesn't contain information about the software you'll need, but it DOES contain tips on how to optimize your content, how to present it to your audience, and how to ensure that your raw footage contains what you need to get from beginning to end. Give it a read! (He's started a thread on our forum, if you have comments.) (Louis Wu 19:28:17 UTC)

The Story of Perdita - coming to life with your help!
Wow, this is pretty cool. If you followed ilovebees, the ARG that was used as part of Halo 2's marketing campaign, you might remember Perdita - the character created by the AI Melissa to help her deal with the predicament she found herself in. Curt Stewart is an independent filmmaker who has decided to bring Perdita's tale to life... as an animated film. (He's posted a couple of vines - one | two - so that you can see where he's going with this.) He can't do it alone, though - so he's turned to Kickstarter to let you help make this happen. Swing by and listen to the why and the what - and if you can throw in your help, he might just be able to bring this tale to the masses! (Time is of the essence - this kickstarter has until May 23 to get funded. That's less than 3 days from now!) (Louis Wu 18:58:26 UTC)

Yes, late again - leave me alone! This week's Halo Bulletin is brought to you by the letter 'B' for Bravo - that means there's a ton of Halo 4 gameplay news to dissect, including Walshy's recent visit and playtest at the studio and details regarding weapon tuning.
