Halo comic? We need your help! Have you got the March 2000 edition of the UK Mac magazine Macformat? Check the front cover. Here's a low resolution shot from Macformat's web site. Notice the red symbol on the right shoulder of the marine character? Compare it with the Covenant logo in this shot. At this low resolution they look remarkably similar. But are they? Let us know. In a similar vein, Matt is FAR more forthcoming about the actual state of development in another post. Here's a snippet:
The physics are pretty much done at this point; there will certainly be tweaking done here and there but the bulk of it is ready to go. The bare bones of the story have been etched out for a while but a lot of the intensely detailed bits are still in Jason and Rob's heads. We're still concentrating on building the net game; there are nightly games here at the office. When that's solid, we start serious work on the solo game (certain preparatory work is being done now, but there aren't any complete missions you can play from start to finish).

Okay, first at the Core, Matt says "Anyway, this footage I can't just hand out because it's already promised to someone else." Then, on our forum, he says (in response to "When?") "I can't give you an exact date, because it's not technically in our hands anymore. But you shouldn't have to wait too long. There's new footage coming which better represents Halo because it shows battle, not just a lone guy running around. For that reason it's a more accurate representation than the old footage, which was more of a technology demo.

PC Gamer says they have new screens, but are waiting to publish... and InciteGames says Bungie has asked them to remove the Incite movie because "development direction on the game has changed and our movie (evidently) no longer accurately represents the game." A small mystery cleared up! Back in January, we reported that a small player nametag ("Husk") had been identified on a screenshot. Well, this one's a bit weird... but an interesting read nonetheless. Kristian Attfield spent an hour and a half tonight watching the Bungie West Webcam... at the beginning, someone was playing Halo. (Currently (which is roughly 12:30 Kristian's time, or 11:30 at Bungie West), there's something blocking the camera, so nothing's visible.)
