Launch Party coverage everywhere

Launch Party is underway
For those who haven't checked in for a while, the Halo Launch Party got underway about 45 minutes ago at the Hotel Monaco in Chicago. I hope all that needed to be inside GOT inside... we've gotten no word from anyone there yet, but if news breaks, we'll let you know! Launch Party Coverage Page live
There's not much there yet... but in a few short hours, the Halo Launch Party will get underway in Chicago, and we've set up a page to handle the news and information. A bunch of HBO regulars will be there, and hopefully will get the chance to post their thoughts and observations as the night progresses. (The page will remain up, so that folks who don't have a chance to post from the party can add their two bits after the fact - it'll be a central repository for news and pictures from the event.) Casting Call - Launch Party Reporters
Volunteers needed: The Halo Launch Party tomorrow night in Chicago is a sold-out event (well, okay, the tickets are free, but the gap between how many can fit in the room and how many WANT to fit in the room is several hundred people)... but HBO has no official representative to cover it! If you're planning on being there, think you'll have net access during or after the event, and have reasonable writing skills, HBO wants to make YOU reporter for a day! Drop us a line at volunteers@bungie.org, and include a username/password combo you'd like to post with. We'll set you up with an account so that you can post your impressions (or upload your candid pics) right from the show floor! This is your chance for fame and glory... or at least a permanent place in the HBO pantheon. Hurry - time is short! Update: Looks like we have enough volunteers at this time - thanks, all! Remember - this is a site that saw 580,000 unique visitors last week... so if you're planning on going, and haven't yet sent your RSVP to halofest@microsoft.com... well, there are only 250 spots... The Halo Launch Party is here! Bungie.net has the details... Saturday, November 10 at the Hotel Monaco, in Chicago, for those who HAVE TO KNOW NOW... the rest of you, head over to bungie.net and read Matt's little parable. Halo Launch Party: Chicago?
We're not saying that they've decided on Chicago... just that they've decided, and Chicago is a good bet. Matt confirmed that his visit to Chicago was (in part) to scope out launch party sites... and he says he'll be making an announcement tomorrow, barring catastrophe. Dang... More info from Matt, totally different subject - while nothing has been decided yet, Matt lets readers of the R.net forum know that he's off to Chicago next week to (among other things) scope out a particular site for suitability for the Halo Launch Party... in his words:
Expect an announcement one way or another next week.
