New Arena Season for Ranked Halo 5 Playlists Starts Today
Looks like the winter season is over, and the new one has started in Halo 5's Arena mode! If you played ten games in a ranked playlist during its duration, your emblem should be there. In the meantime, here's the preview of this new season's emblem!

Halo Community Update - 04/22/16 ('Control Freak')

'Spartans Never Walk Alone', New True Light Emblem In Honor of thecrzedspartan's Family
Along with the 'Hammer Storm' update, every player of Halo 5 will be receiving a REQ pack with the 'True Light' animated emblem in honor of community member, Adam (aka thecrzedspartan), who along with his wife Rebecca, lost his two daughters in an electrical fire at their family home. His daughter's names are also written in the stars on the new map Torque! Pretty awesome gesture by 343! (MacGyver10 19:21:50 UTC)

Halo Community Update - 02/12/16 ('Hammer Storm Preview')
The latest Community Update went live last week, showcasing the upcoming February update now title 'Hammer Storm'. There are new REQs, new armor, new weapons, a new map and new game modes coming our way as just a portion of the love month's update. Additionally, changes are coming to the color-picker for armor and emblems, with not only more color options on the way (I get my orange and Hyokin gets his purple finally!), but more choice in how they display! RUL Shows Off the Halo 5 Menus and Some Warzone Gameplay
Bounce-A-Gon linked us to some cool Warzone and Menu displaying videos from RUL. You can see here his complete walkthrough of the Menu system for controls and REQ items showing off the names of every helmet, armor, visor, stance, emblem and assassination. There's also a video of some gameplay on Raid On Apex 7 with more use of the REQ system (and the new mongoose with a reverse seat instead of standing platform) than I've seen yet. Halo 5: Guardians LE Console and Controllers Pre-Order
The Halo 5: Guardians pre-order page has been updated with the newly announced LE console and a pair of sweet new XBO controllers. The LE console includes the LE version of the game and FOTUS-class armor and multiplayer emblem along with it's metallic accents and custom sound effects. The new Spartan Locke and Master Chief-inspired controllers include a bonus REQ pack with in-game visors mimicking those of their respective homages. HALOween in Waypoint Land
The Halo BOOletin (geddit? It's Halloween!) was posted last night - it's chock-full of entertaining tidbits. There are design sketches of the Halo 4 Global Championship stage (pretty nice!), details on the upcoming XBL version of Spartan Assault, Halloween-related playlist details, a new emblem unlock that will be available to Halo 4 players next week, your option to vote on multi-team gametypes, and pumpkin-related pics. Spartan Assault Codes Deciphered
GunRunner48 let us know that Section 3 has solved another pair of codes tied to Halo: Spartan Assault. If you complete the 'Prodigy' Achievement, you can unlock some XP with this code, and if you complete the 'Powered By Mjolnir' achievement, the related code will give you XP, Spartan Assault concept art and the Flying Colors emblem. Now Halo Should Have a Defiant Map Pack... Wait...
We here at HBO love video games of all different sorts. One of the games that has a few of us very intrigued is the upcoming open world shooter from Trion Worlds, Defiance. If you follow us over at our sister site, DBO, you might remember us mentioning the project citing an interview with the Executive Producer of the game, as he referenced thoughts on Bungie's upcoming Destiny title (small open world, huh?). Earlier today, as I was inputting codes online to level up my "Ark Hunter", I noticed a peculiar emblem for the level I had just attained. Shoulda been Level 7, but still, full circle indeed! Goodies from Waypoint
I wasn't around yesterday afternoon, but Halo Waypoint put up a couple of great tidbits - there's a video from a Halo 4 tourney held in Afghanistan at a Forward Operating Base, to blow off steam, and there's a Halo 4 emblem generator put together by Furiousn00b (so you can experiment with a mouse and keyboard before you use the controller interface to finalize your choice online). A new glyph code - LASO earns you 50k
A new glyph code was unveiled yesterday - and less than an hour later, it was solved. (Thanks to jay mee, who brought the news to our forum.) If you can beat the Halo 4 campaign on Legendary, with all skulls on... you can use this code to earn 50,000 XP (and a special LASO emblem). Awesome! (Louis Wu 18:09:00 UTC)
