April 3, 2003 Link to this post Comics at Forerunners Forerunners.org has put up a Comic section - the first entry seems to be a PPR knockoff. Check it out... (Louis Wu 01:48:07 UTC)
April 1, 2003 Link to this post I feel her pain. Hehe... The Search for the Megg has consumed our forum in the past few days... and resident kibitzer Shishka has his own take on the situation. Check out his latest comic at Subnova. (Louis Wu 11:30:06 UTC)
March 28, 2003 Link to this post More Web Comics (old ones this time) Hehe - Cybrfrk found a pair of web comics from last year that everyone here seems to have missed. Check out TrueNuff for January 9, 2002, followed by January 11, 2002. Now THERES a Halo fan. :) (Louis Wu 16:35:01 UTC)
March 25, 2003 Link to this post Is THAT what they sound like? Hmm. Over at Subnova, HBO forum regular Shishka has put up a new feature - Subnova.comic. The first strip pits some Subnova personalities against... an HBO forum visitor. Ouch. (Louis Wu 15:47:12 UTC)
March 9, 2003 Link to this post Where are the snowmen? If you're like me, there are certain comics that simply made you sad when they stopped. Bloom County, The Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes... well, our very own Warbow has resurrected one of these classics and updated it for the present day. We're proud to bring you the first four strips of Calvin and Halo. As more get added, we'll let you know. (Louis Wu 22:01:45 UTC)
March 1, 2003 Link to this post Blam comics Stosh has put up a new comic at blam.moap.net - I hope this one doesn't prove to be true. (There's also another Halo-related one that I hadn't seen before...) (Louis Wu 12:30:08 UTC)
February 26, 2003 Link to this post Platform Loyalty Heh - the PS2 is defined by its processor, the Xbox by Halo. At least according to THIS comic... (thanks, Cybrfrk) (Louis Wu 15:04:57 UTC)
February 26, 2003 Link to this post So THAT'S what happened to Greg... A window into Bungie Culture... ouch. (A little more detail can be found here.) (Louis Wu 03:09:44 UTC)
February 14, 2003 Link to this post Everybody's a comic In an attempt to show up Lorraine R. McLees, Stosh has put up a Valentines-themed comic of his own. (Give it up, Stosh.) Don't forget the site itself... I think he's just bitter cause he got beat by a girl. (Two, if you count Lorraine.) Update: DOH! Wrong comic. (No wonder I had troubles with it...) Try this one. (I still give the round to Lorraine, though. This one's pretty funny... but the Halo Babies can't be beat.) (Louis Wu 00:44:58 UTC)
February 11, 2003 Link to this post Butterfly Ball? Lorraine Reyes-McLees illustrates the recent Pentathlon article as only she can... poor Jason. (Louis Wu 19:03:02 UTC)
February 4, 2003 Link to this post Sarge Rocks lol - When I saw the headline from Bungie.net ('Happy (Belated) Warthog Day!'), I thought, in my Halo-saturated mind, that Bungie was paying tribute to the one-year anniversary of Randy Glass' Warthog Jump. Silly me - I forgot there's a world outside these walls! And every year on February 2, Punxsutawney Phil goes looking for his shadow... this year, in honor of the little 'hog, Bungie has posted a warthog-related comic, starring some of our favorite Halo characters. Check it out! (Louis Wu 09:19:12 UTC)
January 31, 2003 Link to this post Bungie Comic Goodness Woohoo! New comic artwork from Lorraine Reyes-McLees, in honor of the Danger Boy interview! It's Chris Carney day! (The caricatures are astoundingly good.) (Louis Wu 19:59:26 UTC)
January 10, 2003 Link to this post Grunts in Supermarkets After another hellish flying experience, I'm back and safely ensconced in the comfort of HBO Headquarters. There's a boatload of stuff to get to... but it's going to take a little while. In the meantime, Stosh has posted a new Blam comic - I think Stosh might have some... um, issues. But you should go read it anyway. (Louis Wu 15:13:37 UTC)
December 23, 2002 Link to this post Killtacular! stosh has added another comic to his 'Blam!' series - this one looks at recent media claims about the powers of Halo. You can tell it's not real, because members of the Taliban don't eat fried chicken, peas, and mashed potatoes... but it's pretty funny anyway. :) (Louis Wu 18:47:44 UTC)
December 13, 2002 Link to this post Love those stickydooms... Skeletor found a pretty funny comic from VG Cats that's Halo-related. Someone doesn't like Nintendo fanbois... (Louis Wu 20:55:23 UTC)
November 26, 2002 Link to this post Hate that loser table... Stosh is really turning 'em out... the third 'blam' comic was sent to us recently. You'll find it in our Miscellaneous Art section. (There are some comments about it on Stosh's Blam website.) (Louis Wu 10:00:52 UTC)
November 24, 2002 Link to this post These animals do not feed Another comic from Stosh - this one should be appreciated by Matt Soell. You'll find it in our Miscellaneous Art section. (Louis Wu 18:37:33 UTC)
November 18, 2002 Link to this post Hey - he's cute! Stosh has started up a new comic series, called 'Blamed!' You'll find the first installment in our Miscellaneous Art section. (Louis Wu 17:48:43 UTC)
November 6, 2002 Link to this post I love 'em, but they're wrong. Before any of you break your keyboards in your frenzy to send us word that Penny Arcade is reporting that Halo will have Xbox Live support... they're not. Tycho mentioned a rumor he heard, but he follows it with but I haven't heard this verified anywhere else, so keep your expectations low. We couldn't agree with that last more. Bungie has said, over and over, that it's not happening. Matt said it again, just 4 days ago. Much as I enjoy Penny Arcade, if it comes down to a wild rumor mentioned by a comic writer vs. the unambiguous wording of a Bungie employee... I'm gonna have to go with the Bungie guy. (Thanks to mnemesis for the heads-up on this one.) (Louis Wu 18:34:39 UTC)
November 2, 2002 Link to this post You're with who? Skip Weasel the pegboy, Bungie intern etraordinaire (or something), returns in the latest Bungie comic. (That thing, minus the sign, really is in the building.) (Louis Wu 00:19:49 UTC)
October 17, 2002 Link to this post Penny Arcade looks at XBL Gabe and Tycho of Penny Arcade were at the Xbox Live Bootcamp (the MS event that took me out west this week), as well... and the comic that came out of it is Halo-related. (The actual writeup Tycho posted is far more interesting to read - even though I now feel I have to rewrite parts of my own impressions (written on the plane home yesterday) in order not to look like I'm just ripping off his text.) Take a look! (Louis Wu 08:21:22 UTC)
September 25, 2002 Link to this post 7he Halo Comic DarkPrimus points out the first of a series of Halo comics - take a look! (Louis Wu 01:33:10 UTC)
September 24, 2002 Link to this post We make-a you laugh Psyjnir.com has overhauled their Comics section; there are now two categories. Funnies is for any Bungie-related comic strips (there's a size requirement), submissions are accepted. Storyline will house comics telling the (twisted and sick) story of the Psyjnir Complex, every Monday Wednesday, and Friday. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 03:03:27 UTC)
September 10, 2002 Link to this post Wait for it... A new comic has been put up at Bungie.net - and it's pretty funny. According to Dave Candland, this is an 'actual embellished conversation' that took place during the creation of the Halo 2 trailer. Makes you wonder how all those guys are still alive... (Louis Wu 23:16:26 UTC)
