A note from 343
Bonnie Ross, Head of 343 Industries, posted a note on Halo Waypoint last night - she summarized the issues still facing the Master Chief Collection, and outlined the fixes that are in the pipeline. If you're feeling like you're not being listened to, give this a read - 343 definitely understands that things aren't working properly for fans, and are working hard to fix this. Master Chief Collection Matchmaking Update being deployed
According to Halo Waypoint, the Master Chief Collection content update scheduled for this week should be live now (or possibly in the next few hours). The blog post lists the changes being made - players frustrated by matchmaking issues should find some relief! (Louis Wu 23:42:15 UTC)

MCC Content Update Pushed Back

We've already gotten word about a couple of new easter eggs in the Master Chief Collection - one, from Road Trippin', shows off a secret that earns you an Achievement, found in Halo 2 Anniversary, while the other, from Walterrific, possibly gives away the musical tastes of a member of 343's art team. Master Chief Figure from 3A
3A has released info about their newest action figure - it's a Bambaland Exclusive Edition, purchaseable next week in Hong Kong. MCC Launch Woes Continue
343 is still working on the problems unearthed by the launch of the Master Chief Collection - the long wait times in Matchmaking are already being addressed (though not with 100% success yet), but there are plenty of other broken items. reddit has a formatted list, Kal stopped by our forum with Grifball-specific problems, and sites like Polygon are reconsidering their original scores (thanks, UnrealCh13f). MCC Launch Issues Update
If you've been Matchmaking with the Master Chief Collection, you've probably run into some issues - according to a new blog post on Halo Waypoint, they know about the problems and they're working on them. Your Halo 5 Beta Primer
Everything you need to know about the Halo 5 Beta on The Master Chief Collection's Launch Day:
- A Behind the Scenes documentary from 343 gives you some perspective on what the studio wants out of the Beta (and what they hope you'll get)
- A sizeable collection of videos from IGN give you details on the new gameplay, show you what it looks like, and takes a close look at the BTS vidoc during a new episode of Rewind Theater.
- Rooster Teeth's The Know put up a Hands-on video with gameplay and commentary (thanks, gamerguy2002).
- Team Beyond has some gameplay with no commentary - you can hear all game sounds (thanks, Gravemind).

Two more MCC Polls - Voice Off
So the fact that HBO's active staff was at the Halo Launch Invitational this week meant that some stuff fell by the wayside - time for some cleanup! First up - a pair of GameVGame polls, based on the Master Chief Collection - Sunday they asked "What is your Favorite Halo 4 Campaign Level?", and today they want to know "Which is the Best Game in Halo: The Master Chief Collection?". Halo Championship Series
Earlier today, Bravo announced the 'Halo Championship Series', which is 343i's plan to help get Halo back into the competitive and eSports scene. 343i is teaming up with ESL and Twitch to help host online and LAN tournaments that run under a unified placing system.
