Links to read more can be found in Grizzlei's forum post (and MacGuyver10 noticed some very cool Iceland shots in her Instagram feed that she took while on location). It's coming along! Halo 5: Guardians
Halo 4: Guardians This morning, 343's Bonnie Ross announced Halo's next main title: "Halo 5: Guardians". In it, she promised not only an impressive title coming to the Xbox One in the fall of 2015 - but she hinted at a pretty fun Halo-related year THIS year, too (with a full announcement coming on June 9, at the E3 media briefing). There's also a little more detail directed straight at fans, from Frank O'Connor, over at Halo Waypoint - along with a very interesting piece of artwork. Go give 'em both a read, then jump into our forum and discuss! (Louis Wu 16:13:45 UTC)

Halo PC Saved
Last month we learned that Gamespy was shutting down it's servers, which would result in the shut down of Halo PC's online capabilities. It seems that Bungie and a group of fans have been hard at work to make sure that Halo CE and Halo PC continue to live on(line). Roger Wilson (Bungie) along with Btcc22, Kornman00, and Technut have been secretly working on version 1.0.10 of Halo PC and Halo CE, which will include a fix for the lobby system. Last week GamesRanger announced that they would act as the hosting service. This is great news - nice work everyone! Thanks, petetheduck. (colindosaj 22:29:32 UTC)

Halo TV series - maybe behind schedule?
Running REALLY low on free time - but there's enough to slip you the info that mikimarquez shot our way: it looks like the Spielberg-helmed Halo TV project announced last year has been postponed a bit - according to Deadline, it's still in the 'deal-making phase'. No word on what that might mean for the projects that came AFTER it - like the recently-announced Ridley Scott-produced series. (Louis Wu 23:55:27 UTC)

Of all the questions, Frank...
Yeah, so remember how we mentioned yesterday that Cortana, the new digital assistant for Windows Phone 8, had been officially announced? So then this happened. I'm shaking my head... thanks, rhubarb. Me. Inside Your Phone. Now.
Revenant1988 shared an article from Engadget confirming Cortana for Windows Phone, Microsoft's answer to Siri. Arithmomaniac chimed in and pointed out that The Verge posted an in-depth article about Cortana. The most relevant information is that 343i and Jen Taylor helped work on Cortana. There is also a video walkthrough of Cortana that shows off what is possible - the synthesized voice isn't that convincing, but the dialogue Jen Taylor recorded is a nice touch. It does seem that Microsoft plans to keep working with Jen on future Cortana developments. Neat! (colindosaj 20:49:45 UTC)

Wait, what?
So we sort of skipped the whole 'potential insider shows up on NeoGAF and leaks Microsoft's next year's worth of announcements' thing a few days ago, mostly because it was more trouble than it was worth to figure out if anything was actually confirmable... but it's pretty funny that a Spanish video game seller actually put up a page for one of the leaked items. Halo 2 Anniversary, which has not been announced by anyone officially, can now be preordered from XtraLife. (The artwork they chose for the cover is fan-created, and includes a gun which didn't even appear in Halo 2.) Thanks, GameRevolution (who snagged a screenshot, in case XtraLife's page disappears). Wow - talk about proactive! (Louis Wu 20:04:33 UTC)

Hey, it's still this week, right?
We totally forgot to mention Wednesday's Halo Bulletin yesterday - sorry! It's absolutely worth reading; in addition to the information about upcoming changes in Matchmaking playlists, and beautiful screenshots with a nature theme, there's an announcement about a job opening for a Franchise Writer - a job many fans might love to have. More - a job many fans might be qualified for! Go give the whole thing a read. (It is, of course, in our local archive, as well.) Thanks to MacGyver10 for keeping up when we forgot. Project Contingency - coming back around
You may have seen some reports of leaked pictures from the next Halo recently; the 'leak' has been debunked across the board (by 343 and by the creators of the images, who are actually building a CryEngine 3-based mod we mentioned back in July). If you missed it then, swing by the Project Contingency website and read their public service announcement - and explore the work they've got on display! (Louis Wu 23:36:11 UTC)
