New Blood
Halo Waypoint has news of a new Halo fiction release - Matt Forbeck has written 'Halo: New Blood', coming in early March. This book will tell the story of Gunnery Sergeant Edward Buck (the star of Halo 3: ODST and a bit player in Halo: Reach). Halo Championship Series
Earlier today, Bravo announced the 'Halo Championship Series', which is 343i's plan to help get Halo back into the competitive and eSports scene. 343i is teaming up with ESL and Twitch to help host online and LAN tournaments that run under a unified placing system. GrimBrother One returned to our forum to announce the latest Halo Bulletin - good to see him around! It contains info about next week's reboot of Halo Waypoint, pics of the upcoming Halo-themed ASTRO A50s, details about the Halo-related content available at New York Comic-Con this week, and the continuation of his very own series - "Canon Fodder". This in-depth look at events in the Halo universe is a fantastic resource, both for newcomers to the extended universe and for folks already immersed - there's so much out there it's easy to forget details. (We're also making one small deviation from the original Bulletin in our local version, for the first time: it seems that the screenshots are no longer presented in both full and thumbnail versions in the Bulletin, you have to follow the Fileshare link and download if you want the big version now. Frank O'Connor discusses Nightfall
Back in August, when the upcoming movie Nightfall was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Shacknews interviewed Frank O'Connor about the details surrounding the project. They released a 2-minute clip at the time. (That clip focused on Frank's thoughts about Comic-Con itself, didn't really mention Nightfall at all.) A couple of days ago, they released a 4-minute piece of the interview that did, indeed, focus on Nightfall - a lot of it is recap, at this point (not surprising, when a month and a couple of other large press events have happened since), but it's a pretty nice summary of the project, and contains tidbits you might not know yet. The Halo Channel
During the Xbox Briefing at Gamescom, 343i announced that they would be bringing the Halo Channel to Xbox One. The Halo Channel acts as a centralized hub for all your Halo content, and allows you to access live game broadcasts, community content, manage your Halo career, and more. MacGyver10 pointed out that the trailer for the Halo Channel provides some more info on Agent Locke's character and shows a possible new skull included in the Master Chief Collection - interesting. CMT SPv3 Release Date Trailer and Analysis
