Playing Halo (ODST Remix)
Ryan Hamilton stopped by to announce a Halo song he created - it's called 'Playing Halo (ODST Remix)', and it's available on his MySpace page. Unfortunately, the page doesn't display correctly unless you're using IE on a Windows box - which leaves a lot of users (Mac users, Firefox users, etc) out in the cold. We've grabbed a local copy of the MP3 - you can download it from our server (2.5 mb). (If Ryan has a problem with this, we'll certainly take it back down.)

New Resources for Halo 3 Comic Artists
TTL Demag0gue announced a new series of features for webcomics publishers - once or twice a week, articles containing tips and tricks will be posted on Halo3Webcomics.com. The end... of something.
KP announced last night that irc.bungie.org is closing its doors. Those doors opened almost five years ago, over at Homelan... and it's been a good run. It's time, though, to move along. For the next few days, the name will redirect to irc.adelais.net, a server run by some friends and members of the Halo community. Repoint your bookmarks... because even the redirect is going soon. Huge thanks go out to KP for his maintenance of this home for HBO-related chat (and, by the time the doors closed, for many, many other Halo sub-communities) - and thanks, too, to all who've visited and contributed. Bungie Blog Bonanza
Lots of tidbits in the Bungie Blog yesterday afternoon - here's a summary.
- A video showing a team of HaloBabies regulars taking on the Bungie Annual Challenge
- A video of funky clips from Halo 3 - old, but cool
- The webcomic Chaos Theory, Episode 6 was announced (this was also announced on our own forum - thanks, Adam)
- A video premiered during the Halo Community Live broadcast, now available for separate viewing - Last Resort in a storm (the story made no real sense to me, but the effect was cool)
- A continuation of the 'Average Joe' series, this time talking to GhaleonEB, a centerpoint of the NeoGAF Halo community (if you skip the rest, read this)

Halo Trilogy: Real Info
The Halo Trilogy - the Complete Original Sountracks has now been officially announced; you can read the press release over at Music 4 Games. It's available tomorrow, and it looks like I was wrong - it's not just a compliation of released discs up to this point. Well... not entirely. It DOES have the Halo 1 soundtrack as one of the disks, and the Halo 3 soundtrack is another pair - but only Volume Two of the Halo 2 Original Soundtrack is included - Volume One has been replaced with a Halo Wars Bonus DVD, including a behind-the-scenes look at the recording sessions. They hire people just for naming, you know.
GameCyte was thrown (as were many fans) by the name change, announced yesterday, from Halo 3: Recon to Halo 3: ODST. They responded with an 'it could have been worse' article - go read "12 Things Halo 3: ODST SHOULD Have Stood For". (I kinda like 'Old Dudes: Simpler Times' myself... but 'Obviously it Didn't Stop at Three' is pretty funny.) (Louis Wu 15:36:37 UTC)
