Top 10 Halo 3 Moments, Season 3
Bungie's Blog notes that the latest episode of the Halo 3 Top 10 series is now online - it's another recap episode. (That is, it's the top 10 clips from 5 recent episodes.) The Core – Halo 3 Machinima Series
FireDragon04 told us about The Core, a new machinima series he's kicked off. The first episode (available at YouTube in HD) follows a pair of UNSC Spartans as they reactivate a deserted base. According to FireDragon04, "the rest of the series depends on what people think to this episode and what input I get from the community, as it is the pilot episode." Let him know if you like it!

Friction

FireDragon04 let us know that he's got a new Halo 3 machinima short up on YouTube. His description to me suggested that the video "follows a very confusing un-linear story and doesn't explain anything but lets everyone take away their own conclusion to the video" - pretty accurate. UT3 vs Halo Dance Off
geekinabox was the first of many to point out to us a pretty amazing piece of machinima - swing by YouTube for Reilly311's 'UT3 vs Halo Dance Off'. You can probably figure out how it ends, given geekinabox's post title, and the fact that the machinima was created in the UT3 engine (described as 'the greatest game ever' in the credits)... but it's still a spectacular piece of work. Breakaway: A Rock Opera Machinima

Break: Halo 3
I stumbled across a blog entry from someone named Ryan Fitzgibbon, who highlighted a short video created by Nicholas Werner called 'Break: Halo 3'. It's a short Halo machinima, no voice acting at all... but he's done a fantastic job of tying together the multiplayer maps in a way that feels right. I enjoyed the chase. (Louis Wu 13:47:05 UTC)

AvatarAang mentioned a couple of machinima links you might be interested in - if you're a Rooster Teeth subscriber, you've got access to a pair of clips that were cut from the Reconstruction DVD, and the Running Gun crew has whipped up a project called 'Paint the Line', as part of a 48 Hour Machinima challenge. Halo Zapping
zukan pointed out a video on YouTube - 'Le Zapatabadou' is a French machinima version of Adult Swim's 'Robot Chicken'. Pyrosmile Updates
We haven't heard from Pyrosmile in a little bit - but they've been busy. We got three separate alerts yesterday: Master Chief Theater 3000: Episode 209 is now online, covering the Gravemind cutscene from Halo 2. They were interviewed recently by Machinima.com - you can get some information about the interview (and links) on Pyrosmile.org. And they've posted Episode 3 of Smiley's PAX adventure, which includes a meetup with Halobabies' Gruntsbane. (Minimal Halo content, but we were covering the rest of the stuff anyway...) 2008 Mackies
This weekend, the Machinima Filmfest 2008 was held in New York City, and the Mackies were awarded to the best films. Although a number of Halo works were nominated (we mentioned them last month), only one came home with an award - congrats to This Spartan Life, winner of Best Series! (Louis Wu 16:09:14 UTC)
