Unexpected Chapter 1

High Charity - Emerald Part 1 of 4

Mid-Day Movies
A few new movies for your enjoyment, courtesy of the BungLog™:
- Community Funtage 6, from the Funtage Crew, shows off fun/cool/entertaining clips compiled from the community at large
- The Halo 3 Ban remixes Eminem's 'The Way I Am' - pretty well done, and some very nice social gameplay.
- WaffleBrains whipped up Goose on the Loose, a Goosetage - nearly 9 minutes of splatters and brokeback kills.
- CMNeir released 'New Ride', a Halo machinima that anyone with bragging friends can relate to. Well... except for the time travel stuff.

This Spartan Community Podcast

Trinity Requiem
It's been a while since we've heard from PraetoriaGuard... but they were a pretty loud community voice, back in the day. And at one point, they were building Trinity, a pretty ambitious machinima project. Well, Trinity never saw the light of day... but Eisen Feuer has released Trinity Requiem - a look back at what it was, and maybe what it could have been. 87 hours of footage will fly by in 6 minutes - don't blink. This works surprisingly well, actually; as I watched, I found myself being washed with waves of nostalgia. Go grab a copy - it weighs in at 113 mb, and it's being co-hosted by PG and us. The Death of Fantasy
Halopen Films has released 'The Death of Fantasy' - a very long (33 minutes) silent, black and white Halo 3 machinima, done in the style of early silent movies. Ambitious! Movies at Bungie - bring your own popcorn
A couple of new machinima pieces, courtesy of your friends at Bungie.net: 'Forever War', from Dispatch Films, is a short and pessimistic piece about the human race, while 'Budget Cuts', from Amateur Entertainment, shows what happens when governments run out of money. Nathan Walters sent word that Machinicast is kicking off their First Annual Machinima Award Show - there's a link on their front page. (You can't view the contest details without signing up on their forum, so I have no idea what the rules are - but the general work flow will include nominating machinima creators and voting for the top nominees. Bungie.net - Opening the Content Floodgates
There's a MONSTER FLOOD of content at Bungie.net - let's see if I can delineate it all before the HBO day ends:
- Black Water Ops released a 40-second machinima short showing Spartan cruelty to... pets
- Halo 3 Mythbusters is giving away 1600 points to the person who can get the highest Campaign score on Floodgate (read the full post for details)
- Bungie has posted another podcast - an hour of riffin' and joshin' and discussin' ODST, you should listen
- Ascendant Justice has pulled together an obscene amount of information on ODST, and reviewed it in the context of the new info released yesterday - those guys aren't human.
- Meet the Squad is a Bungie.net article detailing the Rookie and his squadmates - know who you're playing with before you drop!
- Brian Jarrard talked on camera to Gametrailers about Halo 3: ODST - tasty!

Halo vs Mortal Kombat: The Hidden Skull #2
A couple of weeks ago, we mentioned 'Master Chief vs Mortal Kombat: The Hidden Skull', a machinima mashup of Halo and (duh) Mortal Kombat. It was hilarious.
