mechdesigns - amazing models
Over at NeoGAF, JuanGGZ pointed out a guy who modifies model kits; some of his creations are Halo/Mecha hybrids. There's a page showing off his GM Halo MkV, a page with some work-in-progress shots of that project, and an older project he's labeled Master Chief Zaku. Incredible stuff! Zipline

Worlds Colliding
Leading off today is something is something very cool that Sl'askia found while perusing DeviantArt. It's a collection of artwork showing some very well-known video-gaming heroes and heroines working together against some pretty big odds. Our own Master Chief makes a strong appearance, and really stands out when you compare him against the others. Overall, some VERY cool art. Halo Speed Art
nillapuddin is on the hunt for Halo speed art - he found one showing off the Master Chief from Halo 4 (2 hours of painting, posted yesterday - I love this), and then some concept art done for 'Halo Galaxy of Combat' (not sure what that is), showing off some ODSTs near a glassed city. Halo Waypoint gave us a special announcement this morning by revealing the launch date of Halo 4! November 6, 2012 will be the call to sickness for Halo fans, as we start a new fight with the Master Chief. Farewell to a Legend - Winner Announced
We heard from Kontrol Freek that the winner of their Farewell to a Legend contest has been announced - go see who's going to be playing on his new Reach Xbox 360 with a Master Chief vs the Flood statue in the background (and a pair of Freek Legendarys on his controller!) In the near future! In addition, Kontrol Freek is sending along a Steve-Downes-signed pic of Master Chief to us (one of these); we'll figure out a suitable giveaway in the near future! In Like a Lion
The Halo Bulletin is online for this week - and it's a doozy. The appetizer is Tweets of how folks would wake up the Master Chief, but the entree is the March Matchmaking Playlist Update. There are a bunch of changes, but the two biggies are that there will be two 4v4 Slayer lists, one WITH the TU gametypes, one WITHOUT... and that Bleedthrough is removed from TU gametypes. A Broken Warrior or a Heroic Return?
MaxRealflugel has reopened The Secrets Within with a new article that speculates about the psychological states of the Master Chief and Cortana in the upcoming Halo 4. I'm not sure I buy some of his assumptions... but it's an interesting read. (He warns that output will be slower than it was before the recent closure - so savor this.)

Powering Up a Fighter Jet
Halo Waypoint put up their latest Halo Bulletin last night, which features some further information on some of the Halo toys shown off at the NY Toy Fair, as well as some thoughts on Master Chief's new look. Expanding on that thought was the latest "OHI" feature written by Kenneth Scott, Senior Art Director of Halo 4. Definitely some information worth chewing on, so go and check it out! Nothing To Love About This Deal
OXM UK recently added another proposal to their "Fair Trade" featurettes, where they muse about trading an iconic XBOX character away to another console in return for one of their own exclusives. On the block today is trading the Master Chief to Nintendo for Mario.
