The Widow
Pierre Tartaix sent word that TGO GMBH has a new machinima up - The Widow tells the tale of a woman seeking revenge against her husband's killer. No spoken dialogue - just text balloons. Comm Chatter Reopens
Woohoo - Bungie.net's back in the blog business! (Welcome back, urk!) Today's offerings include a couple of new vids:
- ChrisOfTheDead is back with Shenanigans 9 - six and a half minutes of funny situations and wtf moments.
- Urine This Together is a bizarre (but pretty funny) machinima that really shouldn't be explained.

Banished to Garry's Mod
A couple of days ago, 'Banished to Garry's Mod' was released - behave badly enough in Halo Matchmaking, and you could end up in a very unpleasant place. Nice cross-game machinima work by Ze Royal Viking!

Wednesday Afternoon Videos
Videos on display at Bungie's Comm Chatter today:
- The Talking Forklift is a machinima about stupid people.
- Anoj has released Episode 9 of his Top 10 Halo Reach Kills series - Invasion Kills. Looks like there might be some spawn issues on Boneyard...
- Axilo and friends released Magic 2, the second in a series of Reach Beta montages. Editing is heavy.
- Help Me is a Halo 3 montage from Audacity - lots of multikills.
- The Spartan I Project dudes ran through the Deja Vu Achievement in 22 and a half minutes... there's a film up on B.net. (Unrendered, so you'll need to watch it in ODST.) If you thought you didn't have the time to complete the Vidmasters... you might have thought wrong.

Grind Rider - Released
It's a little later than it was supposed to be, but harabek tells us that Grind Rider, a full-length machinima western, is now available to watch on YouTube. It's nine segments long - you can see them all in the Uploads section of ironspam's channel. All told, it's about an hour (75 minutes are what the segments add up to, but I'd guess this counts duplicated credits). If you've got the time, give it a look!

SHOTGUN!
Red vs Blue Revelation Chapter 3 (Upon Further Review) is now available on the Rooster Teeth website - and for the first time (if you didn't watch the shakeycam PAX East films or the one-night-only streaming-from-the-Alamo video), you can see why they hired Monty Oum. Jeskid talks to RT
If you're one of the people who is worried about the direction that Rooster Teeth is taking with their Red vs Blue series (moving away from purely in-game footage, adding animated CG), you might want to watch the most recent episode of Jeskid TV. Jeskid is a long-time RvB fan with a web TV show, and Episode 61 has an interview with Burnie Burns and Monty Oum about where Rooster Teeth is going. It's a fascinating interview that ranges from how RT has grown to how the internet has changed to how you monetize web content - but there are chunks that should reassure fans of the old-school machinima stuff RT does. They're definitely branching out - live action, pure cg stuff, and more - but Red vs Blue is still focused on making the most of the Halo engine, while remaining true to its original limitations. As Burnie says, "it wouldn't be honest to Red vs Blue" if the characters suddenly became "awesome Kung-Fu fighters". Part of the fun, after all, are those limitations. (Louis Wu 15:35:23 UTC)

Red vs. Blue Revelation, Chapter 1
I would like to apologize for not mentioning yesterday that Rooster Teeth planned to stream the first 3.5 episodes of the new season of Red vs Blue live to sponsors - it was a one-time-only deal. (They were doing a show at the Alamo Draft House at the same time.) Turns out, it didn't go quite as well as expected (those guys are simply too popular these days), so if you DID watch it, you might have found yourself a bit frustrated... but never fear; the same content will be released weekly, both to sponsors and the general public. In fact, Episode 1 of Red vs Blue: Revelation is now online for everyone. It continues the storyline from Recreation, and promises some serious advances in machinima as the season continues. The Gift of Mercy
Nabsuh let us know about The Gift of Mercy, a machinima project directed by Drift0r that uses Halo 3, Modern Warfare 2, and straight-up CGI to tell a story of misunderstanding and betrayal. Narration is done by bs angel. Overall, a great piece of work - go watch it!
