January 20, 2004 Link to this post That's gonna leave a mark. Eep - we forgot about our Comic updates today! FIrst up is Calvin and Halo - this time it's the Warbow half of the tag team... and I gotta say, I was just IN that situation yesterday. Ouch. (Louis Wu 18:05:41 UTC)
January 20, 2004 Link to this post Keeping Healthy Evilburger has released the second of his 'Subzero Rivalries' comics; I'm a little worried about the mental health of at least one of the characters. He should be releasing one or two comics every other week - so we've added a link to the bottom of our Comics page, for easy access. Thanks to MarkHawk for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 10:07:53 UTC)
January 18, 2004 Link to this post Miniature Halo A few days ago, SEspider popped on to our forum to mention a comic he's been creating for a couple of months now, using Halo action figures. I thought they were great, but I was afraid of posting the link on the front page; they were being hosted on a Geocities site. I wrote to him, offering him space here; he accepted. The Geocities site will continue to be updated, because it has other links and information - but the images will be housed here, because... well, because we can provide more bandwidth than Geocities. It was simple enough to port his images into one of our existing comic pages; We've added the link to our Comics page, and as new strips come in, we'll point 'em out. All that said, go and read the first 11 episodes of Miniature Halo! (Louis Wu 15:35:30 UTC)
January 17, 2004 Link to this post The Second Coming Hehe - Bachus pointed out that the latest d+pad (a web comic) has a Halo 2 theme to it. Got a chuckle out of me... (Louis Wu 02:19:14 UTC)
January 16, 2004 Link to this post The Name Of The Game There's a new Halo comic, called Subzero Rivalries, created by Evilburger; there's something familiar about it. Thanks to MarkHawk for pointing it out. (Louis Wu 02:10:15 UTC)

January 11, 2004 Link to this post Gird Your Loins Gah! I click the wrong link and find that I've inadvertently updated the Comics section with Warbow's latest Calvin and Halo. Obviously, Calvin hasn't found CafePress yet. Update: Ooops. This wasn't supposed to go live before Tuesday, and it was supposed to be accompanied by a big welcome to Blackstar, who's joined Warbow on the Calvin and Halo team. (There's a new banner at the top of the page, making this clear.) Warbow and Blackstar want to make it very clear that they're not accepting ANY guest strips for this comic; Warbow, in fact, was forced to add Blackstar to the crew BECAUSE he needed the strips being submitted, but couldn't accept them since they were guest strips. (They're not adding anyone new to the team, either, so don't even try.) Strips without attribution are submitted by Warbow, while Blackstar's creations will be signed by him. He's done a great job of maintaining the high standards Warbow set - enjoy! (mnemesis 05:23:42 UTC)
January 7, 2004 Link to this post Making your life easier, one link at a time By popular demand, a new link has been added to the left navbar here; one that contains all the comics we host, plus the two biggies we don't. (I'm sure there are others out there - I remember one that Stosh used to do, for example, and Bungie does some awesome ones - but they're not very coherent; the former is defunct, as far as I know, and the latter set doesn't really have a theme.) Hopefully, this will make your life easier, as you only need one hand to navigate to your daily sketched fix. (Louis Wu 00:03:08 UTC)
January 6, 2004 Link to this post Identity Theft - Subnova Style It was just a matter of time... Boxer points out that the latest Subnova.comic totally rips off - um, pays homage to Stuntmutt's One One Se7en. Wow. It could even BE a One One Se7en... except it's not here. Check it out. (Louis Wu 18:55:32 UTC)
January 6, 2004 Link to this post Never sleep with a tiger. Warbow continues to send in inspired Calvin and Halo comics; there's a new one live today. Ooh... I just wouldn't want to be there. (Louis Wu 09:52:14 UTC)
January 3, 2004 Link to this post I AM the I in AI... er, not. And another comic gets an update, this time it's Halo Babies. Go take a look, and, if you're not a member, sign up so you can check out Gruntsbane's cool new wallpaper. Apologies to mrsmiley, who sent in this info... a while ago. See, there's a reason why Louis does this stuff. ;-) (mnemesis 22:45:56 UTC)
December 31, 2003 Link to this post We wants it! Ack! Bungie Comics has been updated with a new strip! Also, check out the small article with a few tidbits of info about Frankie (who wrote the strip), and elusive artist Zo. Next week? Hmmm... (mnemesis 04:31:46 UTC)
December 29, 2003 Link to this post Down On Your Luck Apparently, "comics," inspired by Halo, are all the rage right now. Here's a new Halo: Resolution to start your day off with a smile. A tiny, pixelated smile. I think. (mnemesis 06:53:15 UTC)
December 26, 2003 Link to this post The Ghost Of Halo Yet To Come. Rounding out the comic strip updates (for HBO, at least), One One Se7en finishes up the Tale begun on Monday... it's a good thing lawyers in Dickens' day aren't like today's sharks. (Louis Wu 02:10:56 UTC)
December 23, 2003 Link to this post Ooh... that's messy. It's not going to be as regular as our other comics, but Warbow shows no sign of slowing down... yet. Calvin and Halo, episode 12, has been posted - and it definitely got a laugh out of me! (Louis Wu 17:19:27 UTC)
December 22, 2003 Link to this post Ramming Speed Rams, over at Battleground: Halo, has put up another edition of the Rams Report; this one looks at the handling of Halo PC since its release. I actually disagree with most of his conclusions, though he does raise some very valid points. (He also looks at the Halo comic scene, but I hesitate to comment at all, because I'm afraid that ANYTHING I say will be misinterpreted by someone; go read it, and if you're angry at the end, read it again. If you're still angry... you might just have a stick that needs removing.) (Louis Wu 17:59:13 UTC)
December 17, 2003 Link to this post One Hundred Astounding as it may seem, Stuntmutt's One One Se7en comic has made it to 100. That is - not including Sunday strips, Holiday strips, Archive strips, or Guest strips, there have now been 100 strips presented to you, the public, since April of this year. Wonga. To celebrate, MC gets a cake. (Be sure your computer's not muted.) (Louis Wu 16:30:44 UTC)
December 12, 2003 Link to this post The World's WHAT? Halo gets a mention in today's Ctrl+Alt+Del comic - pretty funny. Thanks to rendar for noticing. (Louis Wu 22:06:46 UTC)
December 12, 2003 Link to this post Amnesia Strikes There's a new EchoFourNineteen comic over at 343GS.com (downloads section) - I'd tell you about it, but I forgot. Thanks to Zergling_minor for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 15:45:52 UTC)
December 9, 2003 Link to this post Cunning Creatures Indeed Eep - for the first time in a very long time, I forgot about the comic updates yesterday. First up - Halo: Resolution, which continues to have n00b problems. (Louis Wu 01:57:09 UTC)
December 5, 2003 Link to this post Hide and Seek Another Friday, another Halo Babies comic - and what a great use for the Active Camo! (There are also some Halo Babies avatars for use on forums that allow them - check out the Cool Crap section!) (Louis Wu 10:39:46 UTC)
December 3, 2003 Link to this post Artwork, by the bushel. A monster collection of Miscellaneous Artwork for you today (17 pieces), due to the fact that the last update was about 2 weeks ago. Everything from misplaced comics, to pencil sketches, to animated mini-movies... a real grab-bag. Go check it out. (Louis Wu 15:37:28 UTC)
November 30, 2003 Link to this post Halo: First Base Not long ago, it became clear that the submissions for One One Se7en were quickly outstripping our chance of hosting them in a reasonable timeframe, and the Archive was born. (Next week's Archive update already has nearly 30 strips in it.) It took much of the pressure off the Guest queue... but Stuntmutt hasn't been allowing that queue to shrink; he's added a Holiday category (Thursday's Guest strip was postponed for a Thanksgiving strip) and he's been pretty consistent with the Sunday strips (there's one today, in fact), bumping the Guest strips patiently waiting for that Sunday slot. Yes, his commentary is right on the money. Yes, he's more consistent at making you laugh than the guest strips are. Yes, yes, yes, it's true that many Guest strip creators simply cut and paste from Stuntmutt's artwork. But what is One One Se7en all about, anyway? Isn't it about empowering average joes to create a piece of a highly successful comic? Shouldn't Stuntmutt realize that it's not about him? Should there be a vote to remove the regular strip altogether, replacing it with Guest strips, to give joe sixpack a fighting chance? Well, while you're thinking about the answers to these questions, go read today's Sunday strip. And please, please, PLEASE... don't try these lines yourselves in a bar. (Louis Wu 14:56:56 UTC)
