Winter Wonderland Wonderfulosity
The Bungie Weekly Update is up early this week (thanks, mendicantbias00) - and in honor of the holidays, it contains some goodies for you. Halo Wars Media Blitz
Lots of Halo Wars news recently: there are some new screenshots (mixed in with older ones) at TeamXbox (thanks, Planet Halo), G4TV's X-Play interviewed Graeme Devine (thanks, Exanubisleader), and Edge also talked to Devine (thanks, LoneRanger 2.5). It's a surprising blast of information, given that the game isn't going to be out for more than two months...

Monthly Mythic Challenge - January 2009
Daniel "Tyrant" Morris let us know that the next Monthly Mythic Challenge is being kicked off a little early - it starts on December 26, and finishes on January 1. You have those seven days to complete Halo 3 on Mythic difficulty - if you're the first to do so, you'll win 4000 MS points. Remember, you can use his Halo 3 Mythic Walkthrough to help you out. Changes this time around: folks who've already beaten Halo 3 on Mythic difficulty can compete, as long as they also acquire the Mythic Medals along the way (check the Mythic Ranks page for classifications of Mythic conquerers, and the bottom of the challenge page for which medals need to be finished for each class.) There are even rules for Multi-Mythic - folks completing Mythic with friends. Get to preparing - the January challenge begins in just 11 days!

Happy Halodays Round 2 - you've got good chances
mrsmiley is pretty unhappy that the second round of Halo Babies' Happy Halodays art contest has exactly ONE submission so far - the deadline is tomorrow night at midnight, and all you need to do to win 1600 MS Points is turn in the coolest Traffic Cone screenshot! Festive Cheer from a German Halo Site
This came in a couple of days ago, but I somehow missed it. Halo Base's Legend let us know that they've kicked off an Advent Calendar, documenting the history of Halo: Combat Evolved, with new magazine scans appearing every new day until Christmas. It's all in German, but if you read German, there's a lot of info! They're also sponsoring a few contests, with prizes including action figures and a high-quality photo canvas, with the winning screenshot printed on it. Swing by Halo Base and read all the details!
