Reach Continues in the News
More Reach coverage - CNet has a 37-minute video podcast in which Reach is played (the Campaign footage is the same as we've seen a dozen times during E3, but the Firefight footage is worth watching - Halo footage starts around 17 minutes in), and Joystiq has a preview with... well, no new info. Autographed Halo 3 case
trigger119 (we haven't heard from him in a WHILE!) is back with a Bungie-autographed Halo 3 case (it was signed at MLG Las Vegas in 2007). Gamespot's Reach Stage Demo
Over at NeoGAF, Demoncarnotaur noticed a Gamespot Stage Demo of Halo Reach - Mike Zak and Lars Bakken take over the gameplay/discussion pairing. The Gamespot host was content to watch the play for much of the time, so you get a cleaner view of the demo than in previous releases, and a very nice view of the space combat. One new fact - Zak makes it clear that Sabre gameplay is a campaign-only experience (though this includes coop) - no multiplayer. There's also a very easy-to-read runthrough of the Firefight customization screens... awesome! Go watch. (Louis Wu 18:13:56 UTC)

Reach Firefight Customization Options
Inside Gaming did their own interview with Brian - plus grabbed footage from Lars' presentation during the Reach event last night. A good view of the customization screens in Firefight! Yes, it's true. I'm jealous.
mnemesis was actually AT the Reach event last night - and while he didn't get any video footage or screenshots, there's a writeup on our forum. Firefight details, Halo-themed drinks, celebrity spottings, a new combat dialogue actor identified... it's worth a read! (Louis Wu 12:10:53 UTC)

New Reach Screens
IGN has a new batch of screenshots online - they're not on B.net yet, so this is as good a place as any to see them. Thanks to GhaleonEB for the heads-up (and check out the Hunter shot he embedded... those guys have gotten SCARY). Update: Actually, EuroGamer has put up 1080p versions, rather than IGN's 720p ones (thanks, kapowaz), so maybe look there. (Louis Wu 12:05:00 UTC)

Firefight Trailer
TDSpiral found a Firefight trailer at GameVideos - it's recorded off the screen... but it'll still get your blood pumping. I'm guessing we'll see a high-res version of this one in the not-too-distant future... like maybe today. Video Extravaganza
Busy morning - no time to collect news. Let's see what's available at Bungie.net... looks like a boatload of videos. Here's a summary:
- d4psa1 has put together some 3D screenshots - you either need glasses or crossed eyes to see 'em. (Really, you need glasses, unless you like headaches.) They're in montage form.
- Lil Seb whipped up a 100% MLG Halo 3 montage whith the editing talents of Phobia - 7 minutes of heavy editing (lots of credit time).
- Cheap Ass Gamer put together a highlight reel for the Grifball Summer League 2010 - lots of hammers and swords. Some very nice techniques.
- Mace Windex wrote a Reach-inspired instrumental piece and used it as a screenshot soundtrack.
- PHYSCADELIX and FLASHGABE played a bunch in the Reach Beta, and compiled a 1v1ontage (that's the first time I ever saw that term, and I don't think i understand it.)
- Everything is a montage from B1z3rKeR and Alien showing off more Reach Beta goodness.

Halo Collection for Sale
Ron Dagan let us know that he's auctioning off a collection of Halo memorabilia, including all games in unopened packages, plus a bunch of statues, action figures, books, and ancillary DVDs. There's also a piece of Halo 3 Limited Edition artwork by Isaac Hannaford (only 500 were made). 15% of the final sale price will go towards the Gulf Restoration Network - a great cause at this particular time! Blame Urk
The Bungie Weekly Update went live last night - later than usual, but SketchFactor did a great job of shifting most of the blame to urk. (Slacker spent the day with his mom. Pfft.) Cool Signed Artwork - Soon to be Purchasable!
Justinian stopped in to mention that a picture he'd started a little while ago had been finished, sent off to Bungie to be signed, and is soon going to be available for purchase in an auction being organized by Laird to benefit Child's Play.
