(Louis Wu 02:09:07 UTC) December 17, 1999
The thread started here. (Louis Wu 07:40:14 UTC) December 16, 1999 Alex Dillard writes to ask if anyone's noticed the smiilarities between the Covenant aliens and the Drej in the upcoming animated movie Titan AE. You can download the trailer and see for yourself... or you can check out a few screenshots of the Drej. He has a point... Thanks, Alex! (Louis Wu 01:55:35 UTC) December 5, 1999 Kudos to Bravehamster for posting 16 screenshots from the Incite Halo movie. Read the details in his post on our Forums. (Wirehead 12:08:55 UTC) December 4, 1999 The Incite Halo movie described on our forums. Check here and here. Anyone got screenshots? (Wirehead 20:51:05 UTC) December 1, 1999 Wow... scooped by the Core from our own forum! We must be asleep at the switch. Congratulations to Nathan Bitner, who announced his engagement, new screenshots, and a new job (in that order). Now all we need are the screens! Pax. (Crux Fidelis 17:07:41 UTC) December 1, 1999 New Halo screenshots in the German Game Magazine PC-Player! Kudos to Lars for this Halo report:
Grab the scans Lars! Grab the scans! WooHaa!!! (Wirehead 12:09:36 UTC) November 26, 1999 Major kudos to Simon Brownlee for sending us the scans of the German PC Action (Dec '99) Oni/Halo preview article (2 pages). This is the magazine that has the controversial Halo movie. There are two flavors:
Pax. (Crux Fidelis 17:29:11 UTC) November 26, 1999 We've added a bunch of Halo shots from around the web to our Screenshots page. More to come... watch this space. (Wirehead 11:17:12 UTC) November 23, 1999 wondercrank reminded us that the inset picture on the front page of the Next Generation Halo article is a new screenshot, of sorts. And while we were looking at it... we noticed these guys. Run, boys, run! (Louis Wu 15:04:12 UTC) November 21, 1999 "Bungie's forthcoming Halo boasts graphics so awesome you won't believe it's only a computer game... the closest thing yet to being there." say MacFormat (UK) magazine (Dec '99 issue) in their Mac 2000 feature. It's only a small mention with two screenshots but here's the scan (99K). Don't forget to go out and buy the dead tree edition. (Wirehead 11:27:31 UTC) November 19, 1999 In all the uproar surrounding the latest German screenshots, we failed to archive the first two, which were official. These can be found on our screenshots page. Sorry about the oversight. (Louis Wu 13:53:59 UTC) November 18, 1999 Joseph Haake points out that gXp hasn't actually pulled the screens yet... the direct links still work (see yesterday's news for any of them), they've simply pulled the news items referring to them. Wonder how long that's going to last? (Louis Wu 04:44:41 UTC) November 18, 1999 Wow... someone's working fast. All six screens have been pulled from gXp's site. More info if we get it. (Louis Wu 02:32:57 UTC) November 18, 1999 Bungie's Yeroen says the new movie (and gXp's screens) aren't kosher. Oh, well. I was looking forward to a whole lot more. (Louis Wu 02:25:51 UTC) November 17, 1999 From Synox, posted at the Core: The movie on the PC Action disc has a fun Marine handstand. Look quick... he posted a bit earlier that PC Action has a copyright on the movie that prohibits its upload anywhere for 6 weeks, so he may have to pull it. (Louis Wu 15:36:19 UTC) November 17, 1999 Thanks again to Harry Al-Shakarchi, who sends in the translation of the gXp blurb from the third set of screenshots:
Thanks, Harry! (Louis Wu 04:10:39 UTC) November 17, 1999 In response to all the analysis done on the Flamethrower pic that gXp has released (also here, locally), we've compiled a Camera Types page. Take a look, and if you've got something new, feel free to submit it. Pax. (Crux Fidelis 03:57:09 UTC) November 17, 1999 They just keep cranking them out... Two more screenshots from gXp... HALO5.JPG and HALO6.JPG. Kudos to MacDrugal, who reported them on our forum less than 20 minutes after we received word from MacDoerk at gXp. Halo5, especially, is a pretty interesting shot... reflecting surfaces showing nicely. (Louis Wu 00:46:42 UTC) November 16, 1999 Sanctorum sends us this graphic showing what he can make out from the text in HALO4.JPG (here, locally). Thanks, Sanctorum! (Louis Wu 17:53:42 UTC) November 16, 1999 Thanks to Petri for pointing out on our forums that GXP has posted two new Halo screenshots. Yesterday Louis Wu hinted that there would be more. if you can't load the pics from the main page try these direct links HALO3.JPG and HALO4.JPG. (Wirehead 07:48:52 UTC) November 14, 1999 "Halo-Net has jumped back to life and started up the promised clan" says Alan Stott. (Wirehead 00:00:01 UTC) November 9, 1999 First, I took the two scans of the Next Gen article (thank you Ferrex) and combined them into one screenshot. Second, I translated the hard to read text from the article so it is much easier to read now. And last but not least, I made a new Halo wallpaper available in multiple resolutions. All of this is available at Halo Network says SonicStorm. Pax. (Crux Fidelis 00:00:01 UTC)
