Pirate ship versus Scarab? Oh yeah.
If you've ever wanted to sail the high seas and fight the Covenant along the way, the new Halo 3 mod from InfernoPlus may be the ticket to your dreams. With Captain Johnson at the helm, Pimps at Sea takes you to multiple tropical islands and features such novelties as boat-hogs, amphibious Ghosts, and a boss battle between a pirate ship and a Scarab. Whether a work of inspired imagination or the result of someone going way too heavy on the rum, it's surely worth a look. And above all, it provides an excellent excuse for grown men to wear pirate hats while videogaming. So what are you waiting for? Swash your buckles and cast off the anchor! Thanks, Hyokin.

The bottom of Keyes, finally reached!
Apologies for the tardy mention, but it's worth playing catch-up on this one. Just recently, Spasmodic achieved one of the holy grails of Halo 1 tricking, namely reaching the bottom of Keyes (as was mentioned in the forum). All you need to do is… a whole lot of tricky stuff (duh!), and hey presto, there you are in your own purple paradise. He lays out the development story in the video description too, so be sure to have a read of that.

Check out the next dev map coming to Infinite
Infinite's CU29 update drops at the end of this month, bringing with it a new map, "Illusion". This looks like it'll be a fun, CE-inspired trip to an ONI research site. In addition to screenshots, there's an interview with the developers. Check it out on Waypoint. (fuchsdh 15:08:45 UTC)

Play the alternate universe Halo 2 we never got, thanks to mods

Witness the power of this fully operational Forge mode
Season 5 hasn't been out that long, but we're already seeing some pretty incredible Forge creations using the new tools.
RiskiestSole has gone so far as to mock up a reasonable facsimile of the opening mission of Halo 3. Here's hoping these creations inspire further Forge capabilities.

Infinite Season 5 drops October 17
A new season of Halo Infinite is coming, and this is a meaty one. New maps, a Forge toolkit, new cosmetics (ed. note: a Mark V that looks good!), a return of the beloved (well, to me anyway) Extraction game mode, and more. Husky Raid rides again with more maps (and map puns)
The linear CTF mode Husky Raid gets 8 new maps in Halo Infinite, and 343 put out a promo video yesterday showing them off (Smallhala is an A+ map naming joke.) I continue to be impressed by the quality of Forged maps these days.

A few years back, we highlighted InfernoPlus' "Cursed Halo" mod, which adds nonsense like D20 grenades and extra-long Warthogs to Halo CE. Now, there's a new version of the mod, which... must be watched to be believed.

Listen to some symphonic Halo goodness from the Danish Symphony
On our forum the other day, SNIPE 316 highlighted a Halo music medley performed by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra back in 2018. I'd never seen this performance before, and it's pretty great, including a performance of "On a Pale Horse", in my opinion one of the series' great underrated tracks. Give it a listen!

Hard to believe it's coming up on a year since Infinite released. The Winter Update is scheduled to bring campaign network co-op, the Forge beta, and some multiplayer updates to your consoles and PCs. 343i has released a video giving an overview of what to expect.
