Remember Reach and Wars with some Canon Fodder
Haruspis dropped a new Cannon Fodder today, focusing on the Halo Reach-themed event recently featured in Infinite, as well as the recent sixth (ed. note: time has no meaning!) anniversary of Halo Wars 2. Halo Community Update 04/12/18 - 'Worlds Renown'
Rightfully so, but a very Halo World Championship-themed Community Update this week from our prodigal, GrimBrotherOne. There is the obvious and heavy amount of content for our version of the Super Bowl, but some cool stuff in particular are the free stuff you can get for watching on Mixer this weekend, your last chance to get the Arena-themed Legendary Crate and some recaps of other HCS events. Gorgeous Halo-Themed Wooden Wall Art Hand Cut and Painted
Revenant1988 showed off a really cool collection of minimalist Halo-themed wood art he found on imgur. The artist apparently hand cuts these out of wood and colors them with acrylic paint. Halo Community Update - 04/20/17 'Fog of War'
This week's Halo Community Update went live last night (Thanks for the heads up, munky-058!) on Waypoint. Grim reminds of Halo Wars: DE's standalong release, the next Reach-themed LootCrate, some new Halo 5 playlist changes, community spotlights and a great guide to Halo's novels and stories. There's also an update from Sketch announcing the delay of Halo Wars 2 DLC, 'Colony'. Seems a bug with the new Lekgelo bugs bugged them enough to ask for extra time to squash 'em. Morpheus launches another of his favorite montages to the forum this week in 'Already Over - A Halo 2 Montage' by BlaziN. Here's what Morpheus had to say about this one:
The choice for this week's Long side theme is almost 15 minutes long and was made about 5 years ago. Some people may not like it--the player, xxBlaziN 187 looks like the kind of person spending too long knowing all the ins and outs of the system, but his skills are absolutely jaw-dropping regardless. You will never comprehend how someone can chain together so many different complicated button combos flawlessly, and under pressure. It's hard not to smile at the editing here; it's simple, yet completely embodies the spirit of that "classic" Halo montage feel--you'd think you were back in 2005. While I personally am not a fan of the music choice(also heads up the last song is hip-hop, so NSFW tags) but the amazing gameplay and the nostalgic editing more than make up for it. Halo Community Update - 01/13/17 'Ballroom Blitz'
