Halo Custom Edition Update
Dennis Powers sent us the September Update for the Halo Custom Edition game Archive - there are 60 new maps and assets, bringing the total up to 3,555 items. Highlights this month include Painball beta, a mountaintop level by halorider, Insomnia, a nighttime map from GAIGHER, and Peril, a mountainside level from Higuy. Check 'em out! Halo vehicles and characters in Spore
When the Spore Character Editor was first released, we pointed out some early community efforts to introduce Halo content into the Spore universe (here, and here) - yesterday, over at the NeoGAF forum, Botolf noticed that there's actually a pretty extensive collection of Halo creatures now catalogued (including some awesome vehicles). Mrs Doublefire and his amazing technicolor crates

Grunts R Us R Back
oriol, from Grunts R Us, let us know that they're back online, with new goodies for you. There's a "mega Halo 3 Easter egg list" (it's a pretty impressive list, but - in my opinion, at least - some of the tidbits aren't really 'eggs', in the true sense of the word... which shouldn't stop you for a second from looking through), and Version 2 of their Halo TV Channel, with 24/7 Halo coverage. Halo CE Map Archive Update
Dennis Powers sent along an update for the Halo Maps website - the Halo Custom Edition Archive now has nearly 3,400 maps assets and files for the game, with 128 files added in July. He highlighted two new maps deserving of special recognition: Da_Pimp_Pope's Ancient Sanctuary (beta) and adumbass' Hydro Generator. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 14:22:10 UTC)

Halo 3 RPG Double XP Weekend
The Social let us know that the Halo 3 RPG they've built is having its own 'official double xp weekend' to match Bungie's. (Halo3RPG's is Team Melee, as well.) If this doesn't appeal to you, they've got a number of other ranked and unranked hoppers - Figure 8 has 8 teams of 4, and Big Team Splazers is 20v20. Check 'em out!

New Halo CE goodies
Dennis Powers sent us an update on Halo Custom Edition - if you swing by Halo Maps, you'll find more than 100 new maps and assets added during the month of June. Notable items include Asterisk, Winter Snow, and several maps made by the DMT Clan. If you're into urban warfare, DMT-OD SP4 Upskirts is a total conversion, and DMT-Air lets you play as a Covenant Elite racing to High Charity to land on a Covenant Capital ship. Go check 'em out!
