Gamer Symphony Orchestra - Free Concert Saturday
If you're anywhere near College Park, Maryland this weekend, you might want to swing by the Spring Concert of the UMD Gamer Symphony Orchestra - the 90 instrumentalists and singers will be performing selections from many games, Halo among them. Admission is free. There's a downloadable flier on that main page, and the Recordings page contains mp3s of previous concerts (they performed Halo music during the Fall 2007 concert). Check 'em out! More vids you may have missed
MtM9157 sent us links to a couple of movies - they have nothing in common but their maker, but they're both fun to watch. Gears of Halo Theft Auto 5 is just a ridiculous concept for a game (that would probably make a fortune if it actually existed), and Lost World is... just strange. It vacillates between great melding of live video and Halo footage and utterly bizarre dance sequences. And stuff. Part Time Gamers - a new podcast
Kevin Larrabee let us know that a new podcast has kicked off - Part Time Gamers is a group of gamers that simply don't have the time to play as much as they used to, but they still love games. (How much? Well... several of them are actual game developers from studios like Bungie and Doublefine. Bungie's Technical Art Designer Seth Gibson is one of the primary 'casters.) Their first podcast is an hour and a half long, and discusses game development, industry news and trends, and what games they're playing now. Check 'em out - and be sure to let 'em know what you think!

Monday Mythic Map Review
More Mythic Overviews - GameZone has taken a quick look at the maps (very quick), but a fan blog, Virulent Aesthetics (a blog offshoot of Halo Social) is going a bit more in-depth. Prima's got Halo Wars Covered
We got word from Prima Games about some new content they're developing with respect to Halo Wars. (They're doing the Official Game Guide.) They've got a blog running - the current blog post contains a first look at the game, along with some screens, and there's an RSS feed so you can keep track of new stuff easily.
