PtO posts movies
Will, aka [-PtO-]_EteRnaL from PtO (a halo clan that plays on XBC), sent along a link to his collection of movies; you can find everything from gameplay to glitches. Check 'em out... and hit the contact link at the bottom of the main page if you've got any questions about joining the clan, or comments about the films. (Louis Wu 18:10:00 UTC)

Halo-Themed Music
SexyJosh, from Team Sexy Films, has been writing some Halo-themed music recently; there are currently two songs available on his website. Lament to Keyes is a 4-minute ballad, and Cortana is half as long, twice as fast, and a bit ruder. If you like the music, explore the site; there's quite a bit more, non-Halo-related, stuff. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 18:01:12 UTC)

I'm lookin' forward to Wave 5!
Eep - almost forgot; earlier today, SketchFactor posted a note over on Bungie.net discussing Toy Fair 2004, the big annual toy convention; JoyRide Studios was there with some pretty cool stuff! They've put up 10 shots in the Tru7h and Reconciliation Gallery of waves 4 and 5 prototypes... go check 'em out! (Louis Wu 03:06:53 UTC)

The Homefront mod for Battleground 1942 updated its site recently - there are shots of their Achilles class battleship (quite similar to the Halcyon class that the PoA belongs to), as well as a new fast attack VTOL aircraft. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 14:09:25 UTC)

Pictures at 343GS.com
IXIGhandiIXI points out that over at 343gs.com, there's a new wallpaper in the Downloads section (I find it to be a pretty impressive picture, though I doubt I could ever actually use it as a desktop), and a new Art section has opened up (though only one of the two images shown is actually viewable). Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 10:58:46 UTC)

Halo Babies - back online!
Halo Babies came back online yesterday, as scheduled. (I forgot to visit; went by this morning to see, and lo and behold, there they were.) There'll be a new comic online today, but right now, they've got last week's comic up, and some new fan art. Go check 'em out! (Or, maybe, better if you wait until today's comic is up. :) ) (Louis Wu 12:49:40 UTC)

Miscellaneous Art - lots of it
In an effort to stave off overload when vacation ends, I'm attempting to clear out some of the queues right now. First up is the Miscellaneous Art queue; there were 16 items built up. They range from simple sketches to modified screenshots to very funny jokes. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 17:01:11 UTC)

Man, I wish there were a faster way to handle this stuff... but there isn't. I've cleared out the Wallpaper queue; there are 20 new desktops (more, if you count variants) in the database today. Some of these are simply gorgeous. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 21:30:59 UTC)

XLNC once again rocks the Casbah with some spectacular screenshots; he got somewhat creative with the hacking, and the end results are simply stunning. Check 'em out. (Who needs dev tools, anyway?) (Louis Wu 00:39:10 UTC)

SeeMePlayMe hosting a party this week
Missed it when it arrived, but SeeMePlayMe is hosting a kickoff party for its new Platinum Plus Gamer account. They'll be giving away 5 lifetime gold accounts, 2 lifetime Platinum accounts, and one 1-year Platinum Plus Gamer account. This newest account not only allows you to set up a custom server on the fly... but that server will be open to the public (not just those that know its IP address). (More details on the account are here.) The party happens this Friday, November 28th, at 7 pm Central time. There's also a bunch of other giveaways planned. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 11:42:55 UTC)

The Realization of a Dream
Anyone who's spent any time on our forum knows the story of KORHAL, The Boy Who Cried Movie. Well, this weekend, he finally released some footage; there are four films, showing stuff like glitches, vehicle launches, and vehicle collections. They've been hosted by nukedude (vid one and vid two) c0ld vengeance (vids 3 and 4), and Break Point (all four vids). There's really nothing in them that hasn't been done before, and quality's a bit low (filmed off a webcam)... but for people who've been listening to KORHAL claim for a year and a half that he has filmz... it's closure. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 13:58:03 UTC)

Writing for writing's sake
Finn, taking a break from the Halo Story page, has written up a couple of interesting rambles; there's his (slightly overdue, but still welcome) impressions of the 4-day bacchanal that was E3 2003 (complete with pictures), and an entertaining essay on Bungie and the Heroic Epic, an exposition on the depths of Bungie's storytelling... quite fitting for a Story page editor. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 01:39:42 UTC)

Free bookable HaloPC servers (UK)
Multi Player Zone is offering free bookable Halo servers; you need to register (free) to read that, or to visit the 'book a server' page, but if you've got a clan that needs a server to practice on, and you're broke... check 'em out. (They're in the UK, btw.) I found this link at Halocity. (Louis Wu 11:12:16 UTC)
