Okay, at the end of the vehicle part,when a pelican is in-bound, get out of whatever vehicle you're in if it isn't a Ghost. Get a Ghost and blow off it's wings. Proceed through the level normally-but with your Ghost instead of guns. You can actually drive the Ghost all the way to the end of the level. Thus, making your life easy.
