05/28/02 0131 ?T@FFF< mainly on sniping in the map I've nickamed "Bloody Creek".
First of all as it is well known there is a nice rocket launcher sittin in the middle of the map, on top of an arch.
As i know, it is a snipers best friend, because anyone who dares obtain it the conventional way, is nothing but another body in the water.
So if its that Spnkr you desire here's how you must get it...
Never attempt runnin up the arch, like i said it's suicide.
Instead go to the sniper perch in which it overshadows, from here you can jump onto a little ledge on the arch that slants right up to the ass wopper itself.
In that same respect this ledge can act as safe zone if a sniper is in the opposite perch.
Also if you are really in danger, you can always jump back into the sniper perch in which you came from. And if anyone gets in your way, well...show them the new toy you found...
Now back to the sniper post that lies opposite the arch. What a great little spot this is.
It would be even better if it werent for those pesky ladder climbing, grenade throwing, back meleeing idiots.
But even they are not a problem when you exploit this perch to its fullest.
First thin you should know is its realy hard to fall off the nest, the only we you can is if you want to...why? Well the tall tree infront of it blocks you from falling, infact lean against it and it will actualy sway back and forth. (nice little additive).
By using this you can walk directly in front of the rock formation that splits the perch in two. If anyone comes up after you go here and they'll think you jumped off. This is when you let them know who they messed with.
Secondly you can use this perch, as a stepping stone, to what I've found to be the best sniping spot in the map.
What you need to do is proceed all the way to the edge of the post opposite the ladder. Walk out in front of the perch a little and there is a little slant you can jump on to further propell yourself onto the mountain.
Once here you can see all save the action by the teleporters.
There is about 10 feet for you to manuver on, but dont get to risky...you can easily fall off.
Also you must be the quicker sniper, for if somone else gets a sniper you are simply done. There is no cover once up there.
However you can always jump back into the perch you cam from, and if anyone else is there throw a nade or two, they'll have no idea what hit them.
This spot is of coarse most affective when you have just picked up the cloak. Then youll just be a ghost in the wind, who's breathe kills all it touches.
